【発明が属する技術分野】
本発明は、視聴制限システムに関し、特に、視聴制限機能が付いているテレビジョン受信機において、指定された映像の視聴を制限する視聴制限機能を簡単な操作で動作しなくする機能を有する視聴制限システムに関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、番組放送が多チャンネル化することによって、番組放送の内容も多様化している。その為、暴力映像や猥褻映像等の子供に見せたくない映像も多く放送される様になった。子供等に前記のような映像番組の視聴を制限する方法として、送出側で番組の過激度のレベルを表す情報を映像と共に送出し、受信機側で受信した番組の過激度のレベルが、親などの利用者が設定したレベルを超えると、その番組の提示を停止するような視聴制限機能や、親などの利用者が設定した特定のチャンネル又は、番組の提示を制限する視聴制限機能等が存在する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、これらの視聴制限機能が付いているテレビジョン受信機において、子供等が特定の番組を視聴しようとした時に番組の提示を停止するように設定した場合、この視聴制限を登録した親などの利用者が本番組を視聴しようとした場合にも視聴制限機能が働く。本来、視聴制限機能は子供などが番組を視聴する時だけ動作すれば充分であるが、従来の技術では使用者を判断することが出来ないため、視聴制限の対象にしたい子供以外の利用者も視聴制限の対象として視聴制限機能が動作する。

そのため、視聴制限を登録した親などの利用者も、視聴制限がかかった番組を視聴する度に、リモコン等で所定の入力を行う必要があり、使い勝手が悪くなっている。

そこで、本発明は、視聴制限を登録した親などの利用者にも使い勝手の良好な視聴制限システム並びに方法及び視聴制限プログラムを記録した記憶媒体を提供することを課題としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するための本発明の視聴制限システムは、利用者により操作される視聴開始及び視聴終了用の所定の操作ボタンを含む複数の操作ボタンをキーコードの入力のために備え、パスワードと、視聴制限を行うチャンネル番号を含む視聴制限情報と、視聴したいチャンネル番号とを入力する外部入力部と、前記パスワードを前記外部入力部を介して入力された所定数の前記操作ボタンに対応するキーコードとして予め保持するパスワード記憶部と、前記操作ボタンによる前記外部入力部への入力履歴を当該操作ボタンに対応するキーコードとして記憶する入力情報記憶部と、前記入力情報記憶部を介して前記視聴制限情報を前記操作ボタンに対応するキーコードとして予め保持する視聴制限情報記憶部と、前記入力履歴として記憶されるキーコードのうち前記所定の操作ボタンの視聴開始操作前に操作された前記所定数の操作ボタンに対応するキーコードが前記パスワードに対応する前記所定数のキーコードに等しいときには、前記操作ボタンにより前記視聴制限を行うチャンネル番号が選局された場合でも、当該視聴制限を解除する選局処理部とを含む。
