【0034】
yj =Qj /100P0

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a method for managing a battery used for a driving source of a moving body, and in particular, to calculate discharge power and discharge depth in a battery of the moving body using a Ni-Cd alkaline storage battery having an assembled battery structure as a driving source. Thus, the battery capacity management and life management can be accurately performed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a lead-acid battery that has been used as a battery used as a drive source for a moving body such as a robot that runs in a factory has a discharge characteristic that a voltage gradually drops even near the end point of the discharge. . Therefore, when the voltage drops to a certain value, the voltage drop is detected and charging can be performed. In addition, with respect to battery life management, temporal life management is performed on the assumption that the discharge is designed at a constant discharge depth and is discharged at a steady discharge depth.
[0003]
However, in recent years, in a field where battery consumption such as a driving source of a mobile body is not constant, it is desired to use a storage battery having a higher energy density than a lead storage battery and having a relatively long life. Use is increasing.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Thus, when the discharge characteristics of the Ni-Cd alkaline storage battery are examined, the discharge characteristics are close to rectangular characteristics, and when the discharge end point is approached, a rapid voltage drop occurs. For this reason, it is difficult to determine the charging time, and sometimes the mobile body cannot be driven to a predetermined charging place, and the mobile body may be in a state where it cannot be charged. Also, assuming a case where overdischarge is repeated many times due to a sudden increase in load, or conversely a state where the discharge depth is shallow repeatedly occurs, the discharge is performed at a steady discharge depth. With the conventional time life management based on the assumption, accurate and sufficient management cannot be performed. This is because if the overdischarge is repeated many times, the activity of the internal material of the storage battery will be reduced and the life will be shortened. This is because an imbalance occurs between them and the apparent discharge capacity decreases.
[0005]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems in the prior art, and the object of the present invention is to manage the capacity of the battery to prevent overdischarge in any case except in an emergency, and to reduce the discharge amount (discharge). It is an object of the present invention to provide a battery management method used for a driving source of a moving body capable of accurately and sufficiently performing battery life management based on depth.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object , according to the present invention, there is provided a method for managing a battery used as a driving source for a moving body, wherein one cycle is from a battery replacement or one charge to the next charge. Measure the instantaneous current and instantaneous voltage at each predetermined time interval from the time when the battery replacement or one charge is completed, calculate the instantaneous discharge energy from the measured current and measured voltage, and , The discharge depth per cycle is obtained from the actual discharge power amount per cycle obtained by integrating the instantaneous discharge power amount, and the cycle is repeated every cycle after a predetermined number of cycles. Calculating the average discharge depth, applying the average discharge depth to a graph showing the relationship between the discharge depth and the life cycle number, obtaining the corresponding life cycle number, Management method of a battery characterized by comprising the steps of calculating the number of remaining life cycle based on the cycle number is provided.
[0008]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, calculation step of the remaining lifetime cycles involves reducing the number of the predetermined number of cycles and the preliminary cycle from the life cycles.
[0009]
[Action]
In the battery management method of the present invention, for example, instantaneous discharge power is calculated by measuring instantaneous discharge current and instantaneous discharge voltage from the battery at a predetermined time interval every few seconds, and by integrating the instantaneous discharge power. The actual discharge power is required. By comparing this with a predetermined design discharge electric energy, the remaining capacity of the battery can be accurately determined. In addition, when one cycle is from the replacement of a battery or from one charge to the next charge, after repeating a predetermined number of cycles, the average discharge depth for each cycle is calculated, and this is calculated as the discharge depth and life cycle. The number of life cycles can be determined by applying the graph to the relationship with the number. The remaining life cycle number can be calculated by subtracting the predetermined cycle number and the preliminary cycle number from the life cycle number thus obtained. Therefore, battery capacity management and life management can be performed accurately and sufficiently.
[0010]

[0030]
Next, a battery life management method according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
[0031]
In the following description, the battery life is indicated by the number of cycles. One cycle of the battery refers to a period from battery replacement or one charge to the next charge. Therefore, when managing the life of the
[0032]
In addition, the battery life is closely related to the discharge depth (battery consumption) in each cycle. As is clear from the relationship graph between the discharge depth and the number of life cycles shown in FIG. The number of life cycles is determined by the discharge depth.
[0033]
In FIG. 3, first, when the first charge / discharge cycle j is completed, the actual discharge depth y j in the cycle j is calculated as follows. That is, as described in the above capacity management, the instantaneous discharge electric energy q i is obtained from the instantaneous discharge current a i and the instantaneous discharge voltage v i , and the q i in the cycle j is integrated to obtain the actual discharge power in the cycle j. The quantity Q j is calculated. Using the obtained Q j and the specified capacity P 0 of the battery 11, the actual discharge depth y j in the cycle j is calculated from the following equation (S-1).
[0034]
[Expression 1]

[0038]
Here, even if it is a secondary battery such as a lead-acid battery that can be reused by charging or a Ni-Cd alkaline battery used in the present invention, as the number of life cycles approaches zero, Since the activity decreases and the specified capacity of the battery decreases, the operator is notified that the battery needs to be replaced when the remaining life cycle number reaches a predetermined life cycle number β (usually several tens of life cycle number). Like.
[0039]
Therefore, also in the life management of the present invention, the remaining life cycle number (L−m) is compared with a predetermined life cycle number β (S−6), and if L−m <β, the operator needs to replace the battery. (S-7) and replace the battery (S-8).
[0040]
On the other hand, if the comparison result of (S-6) is Lm> β, the operation returns to the operation of (S-1) again and the operations from (S-1) to (S-5) are repeated. To calculate the remaining number of life cycles. This series of operations is repeated until the comparison result in (S-6) becomes Lm <β.
[0041]
For reference, when the specific life cycle number of the Ni-Cd alkaline battery is determined using the graph shown in FIG. 4, when the design discharge depth is 40% (0.4 C), the life cycle It can be seen that the number is about 8300. Moreover, it can be read from the graph of FIG. 4 that the discharge depth in the alkaline battery when the life cycle number is 10,000 is 35%. Usually, the design discharge depth is between 20% and 40%.
[0042]
As described above, in the battery management of the present invention, the management based on the discharge depth is performed, so that it is possible to deal with the non-uniformity between cells in the assembled battery.
[0043]
That is, as a characteristic of the assembled battery, when a shallow discharge and a corresponding shallow charge are repeated a plurality of times, non-uniform discharge capacities occur between the individual batteries (cells) of the assembled battery. In such a state, there arises a problem that the apparent charge capacity is reduced by a normal charging method.
[0044]
Therefore, when shallow charging / discharging is repeated about 10 times, charging is performed by increasing the charging pressure by about 1.2 times. This charging corrects the uneven discharge capacity between cells. This is called equal charge.
[0045]
The above description is merely illustrative of a preferred embodiment of the present invention and the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto. Many variations and modifications of the present invention will readily occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention.

【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the discharge electric energy (voltage × current) of the battery is measured by the voltmeter and the ammeter attached to the power supply outlet from the battery and integrated. As a result, the actual discharge amount (discharge depth) can be managed accurately, and the following effects can be achieved.
1. When a Ni-Cd alkaline storage battery having a high energy density is used as a driving source for a moving body, capacity management can be performed based on preset design conditions, and charging / discharging can be performed appropriately.
2. Even when the mobile body performs an operation different from the normal operation and performs a discharge different from a preset design discharge depth, it is possible to predict a decrease in the life due to this, and to perform battery state maintenance (CBM).
3. Even when shallow discharge and charging to make up for it are repeated (about 10 times), the charging between the cells of the battery is appropriately controlled by controlling the discharge depth so as to correct the unevenness between the cells of the battery. Can be implemented to prevent the apparent charge capacity from being lowered.
