TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a time-shift playback that enables playback of recorded main recorded data from an arbitrary position by playing back recorded data during the recording at the same time as video recording. The present invention relates to a time-shift reproduction method and apparatus in a control technique at the time of medium forward high-speed reproduction (FF reproduction) and a reproduction control technique when a recording unit and a reproduction unit are driven based on different synchronization signals.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, a demand for a time shift reproduction function is increasing, and various control methods have been developed.
[0003]
The basic principle of the time shift reproduction is as follows. First, when video recording is started by a user's recording start operation, the recorded contents are generated as recorded data, and the recorded data is started to be stored in a storage device such as a hard disk, for example, as a file. Next, when the user instructs to play back the video being recorded while the video is being recorded, the playback unit starts playback based on the file recorded on the disc. By adopting such means, it becomes possible to reproduce and view the contents of the video for which recording has not yet been completed from an arbitrary position recorded on the disc. However, since the reproduction is performed based on the data being recorded, it is necessary to perform control in a case where reproduction is to be performed on a portion which has not yet been recorded and recorded on the disk. Conventionally, the following method has been used for the control.
[0004]
During FF playback in time-shift playback, as a control method when playback reaches the end of recorded data, a method of stopping playback from a file and directly outputting video data obtained by a recording unit as playback data. It has been known. In this case, the playback speed returns to the normal speed, but the playback from the file is stopped to prevent the playback from the file from catching up with the recording many times.
[0005]
Further, when different synchronization signals are used for the recording unit and the reproducing unit, if the reproducing side has a fast pace, the reproduction may catch up with the recording, and the reproducing unit may fail to acquire data. For this reason, conventionally, at the start of time-shift reproduction, reproduction from the time position close to the time length of the recorded video data is prohibited, so that even if there is some deviation in the pace of the synchronization signal, time-shift reproduction is performed. In other words, the recorded data had room enough to keep up with the playback.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the method of stopping the reproduction from the file when the reproduction reaches the end of the recorded data in the FF reproduction and directly reproducing and outputting the video data of the recording unit, the video data input to the recording unit is directly input to the reproduction unit. It was necessary to add a video overlay function or the like to the hardware in order to reproduce and output.
[0007]
Also, when different synchronization signals are used for the recording unit and the playback unit, it is necessary to secure a considerable margin in advance depending on the predicted degree of the shift of the synchronization signal and the maximum duration of time shift playback. What happened.
[0008]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and a time-shift reproduction method for performing control when reproduction catches up with recording in a time-shift reproduction in the state of reproduction from a file in the FF reproduction. And an apparatus.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problem, and in the case where the recording catches up with the recording when the recording unit and the reproducing unit in the time shift reproduction operate based on different synchronization signals. It is an object of the present invention to provide a time shift reproduction method and apparatus in which control is performed without increasing a margin between a recording position and a reproduction position.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention includes a recording unit that converts a video being recorded into data, a storage unit that records the data converted by the recording unit, and a playback unit that reads the data from the storage unit and plays the data. After the start of the time-shift playback to play back the recorded data during the recording of data by the recording unit, monitoring whether or not the playback by the playback unit has ended, if it is determined that the playback has ended, The state of the recording unit is confirmed, and if the recording is completed, the time-shift reproduction is terminated as it is, and if the recording is continued, the time-shift reproduction is restarted .
[0011]
By the above means, it is possible to prevent the reproduction from reaching the end of the recorded data at that point.
[0016]
