[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a slime control agent for industrial water in a papermaking process, having an improved effect.
[0002]
[Prior art]
It is known that in the pulp preparation and paper making processes of pulp mills and paper mills, slime is formed by the propagation of microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts, and filamentous fungi, causing various obstacles. The slime adheres to almost every part of the process that uses water, such as the ruffler wall, screen, inlet or chest wall, white water pit, and the inner wall of the recovered white water pipe during the papermaking process, and gradually increases its thickness and eventually peels off. Mixing in pulp slurry or clogging screens and pipes. Small slime lumps mixed in the pulp slurry cause yellow or brown spots, so-called eyeballs, on the paper to lower the paper quality, and large slime lumps cause the paper to break.
In recent years, improvement of white water recovery rate, eutrophication with additives such as starch, polyacrylamide, sizing agent, sediment including inorganic filler, resin component of wood, pitch due to adhesive and ink component derived from waste paper Due to an increase in sediment and the like, the papermaking process has become an environment more suitable for propagation of microorganisms.
In particular, an improvement in the recovery rate of white water makes it easy to cause emergence of bacteria resistant to the slime controlling agent and a bacterial replacement phenomenon, which causes a reduction in the efficacy of the slime controlling agent.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
For this reason, many slime controlling agents have been developed and used in the past, but no slime controlling agent that can maintain satisfactory efficacy under such conditions is presently found.
[0004]

Experimental example 1
20 ml of SCD liquid medium was added to 70 ml of white water collected from each paper mill, and pre-cultured at 32 ° C. for 1.5 hours with a shaking incubator. 4.5 ml of this culture solution is taken into a culture cell, a reagent agent is added thereto to a concentration of 30 ppm (total active component: 6 ppm), and the cells are cultured at 32 ° C. with shaking. At the same time, a culture without drug (blank) is also cultured. The absorbance at 660 nm of these cultures was measured over time, and the absorbance value of 0.100, which had entered the growth phase, was regarded as the value of the start of growth. The time required for the blank to reach 0.100 is subtracted from the growth inhibition time.
As a reagent, OPA and a compound selected from (a) to (r) were dissolved and prepared in diethylene glycol monomethyl ether so that the total amount was 20%, and diluted with water at the time of addition.
The growth inhibition times are shown in Tables 1 and 2, and a comparative study was conducted. The growth inhibition time becomes longer as the effect of the reagent agent becomes stronger.

The slime controlling agent of the present invention uses orthophthalaldehyde and the compounds (a) to (r) in combination to determine the compounding ratio of these compounds and the concentration of these compounds added to papermaking water as an active ingredient. It shows an excellent synergistic effect that could not have been predicted from using it alone.
