According to the connector 1 with the shield cover described above, as shown in FIG. 3, the receptacle 3 has a structure in which the entire periphery thereof is covered by the receptacle-side shield cover 6, and therefore, FIG. As shown,
The height H of the receptacle 3 is large by the thickness of the receptacle-side shield cover 6 on the upper and lower surfaces, so that the thickness of a small electronic device (for example, a mobile phone) equipped with such a connector 1 with a shield cover is made thin. There are difficulties that can not be done.

However, in the device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 5-74523, the shield case 28 is fixed to the printed wiring board 6 and the shield case 28 is connected to the printed wiring board 6 in order to ensure an improved shielding property. 6, the tongue 3 of the shield case 28 is connected.
It is necessary to form a screw hole in both the 3A and the printed wiring board 6, and to insert a screw into the screw hole to screw the two together. Therefore, a connection structure between the shield case 28 and the copper foil portion 19 is required. Is not only complicated, but also the printed wiring board 6
There is a possibility that the work of positioning and fixing the shield case 28 with respect to the above may be complicated.

As described above, according to the present invention, the receptacle-side shield cover is formed to have a U-shaped cross section. The receptacle-side shield cover covers the upper surface and both sides of the receptacle housing, The printed wiring board opposite to one side of the receptacle housing not covered by the cover covers the entire one side of the receptacle housing not covered by the receptacle-side shield cover, and is exposed to a part of the printed wiring board toward the receptacle housing. A conductive pattern for shielding with an exposed surface is formed, thereby covering the entire bottom surface of the receptacle housing with the conductive pattern for shielding formed on the printed wiring board, thereby minimizing the effects of electromagnetic interference. While,
It is not necessary to cover the entire circumference of the receptacle housing with the receptacle-side shield cover as in the related art. ) Can be formed to be thin, and downsizing can be achieved. Also, when bending and manufacturing the receptacle side shield cover by machining such as pressing,
Since the deployment length of the receptacle-side shield cover is shorter by one side of the bottom side as compared with the conventional one, it is easy to manufacture the connector cover, so that a connector with a shield cover can be provided at low cost.

Further, a tongue piece which is pressed into contact with the exposed surface of the shield conductive pattern and is soldered so as to be electrically connected to the exposed surface is formed on the receptacle-side shield cover. When fitted to the receptacle, the conductive tongue is formed so as to slide in contact with the exposed surface of the shield conductive pattern, so that the connection structure between the shield conductive pattern and the receptacle-side shield cover and the plug-side shield cover is extremely low. In addition to being simple, the receptacle can be easily positioned and fixed with respect to the printed wiring board, thereby greatly improving the workability of mounting the receptacle to the printed wiring board.

A shield cover having a receptacle disposed on a printed wiring board and having a receptacle housing, a plug housing and a plug-side shield cover covering the plug housing, the plug being fitted to the receptacle. In the connector, a receptacle-side shield cover formed so as to cover the receptacle housing except for one side surface of the receptacle housing facing the printed wiring board; and a cover formed on the printed wiring board and covered by the receptacle-side shield cover. A shield conductive pattern that covers an entire side surface of the receptacle housing and has an exposed surface exposed to the receptacle housing side on a part of the printed wiring board; and a shield formed on the receptacle-side shield cover, A tongue piece that is pressed into contact with the exposed surface of the conductive pattern and soldered to the exposed surface so as to be electrically connected to the exposed surface; and when the plug is formed on the plug-side shield cover and the plug is fitted into the receptacle. A connector having a shield cover, wherein the connector has at least a tongue piece that is in sliding contact with an exposed surface of the conductive pattern for shielding.
