FIG. 4 is a partially detailed view of a conventional LED display. In FIG. 4, a partition plate 1 for preventing light from leaking to adjacent dots is provided for each dot in the LED display. The partition plate 1 is provided with a hole 3 through which the LED 2 is inserted.
An eave 4 is provided to prevent the LED light from directly hitting the D2 and being offset by the sunlight. As shown in FIG. 5, one dot is provided with a two-color light emitting element L having two red light emitting elements 2a and one green light emitting element 2b.
ED2 is arranged. The elements 2a and 2b are fixed to a metal reflecting mirror 2c by a material 2d having electrical conductivity, and connected to a wire 2e for flowing a current from an electric circuit (not shown). A transparent lens 2f is formed around the reflecting mirror 2c to efficiently collect light emitted from the elements 2a and 2b in the front direction and mechanically protect the elements 2a and 2b. Each of the elements 2a and 2b receives a signal from the electric circuit and emits light in red, green, and orange (simultaneously lighting red and green) to display characters and figures.

However, the conventional L
In an ED display, the luminance of an element that emits red light and an element that emits green light mounted on one LED differ depending on the difference in material characteristics of each element. On the other hand, green has only about 30% of luminance, and green ideally has three elements mounted on one element of red. However, it is difficult to mount a large number of elements on a single LED in the LED structure which has been conventionally used because of the manufacturing technology. It is necessary to make a mirror mold, which is extremely uneconomical. Further, since there is an eave for preventing sunlight from directly hitting the LED, when the LED display is mounted outdoors and viewed from below (in the direction of the arrow), the LED is hidden by the eave, and visibility is impaired. An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to provide an LED display which can obtain clear visibility even when green is used outdoors and has good visibility from below.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, an LED display of the present invention comprises an LED 2 which emits green light.
And one LED that emits red light,
A single dot, a member having a hole for inserting the LED, and an eave provided at a position where the sunlight is in a shadow without hitting the LED when the LED is installed with the optical axis direction horizontal. The LED arrangement of 1 dot arranges two LEDs that emit green light on the eaves side than one LED that emits red light, and each of two LEDs that emit green light and one LED that emits red light The center point of the triangle connecting the centers of the LEDs is positioned closer to the eaves than the center point of the hole of the member forming the hole, and the upper surface side of the eaves is tapered over the entire surface.

According to the present invention, with the above-described structure, the brightness of the green LED having a low brightness is ensured, and clear visibility can be obtained without the LED light being offset by the sunlight. In addition, since the eaves that block sunlight are tapered, an LED display with good visibility from below the LED display can be obtained.

FIG. 1 is a front view of one character of the LED display of the present invention. The three LEDs 2a2b are arranged in a grid pattern in 256 dots as one dot, and an arbitrary LED is selectively turned on. It displays characters and figures. FIG. 2 is a partial detailed view of the LED display of the present invention. The LED display is provided with a partition plate 1 for preventing light leakage to adjacent dots for each dot. A hole 3 for inserting the LED 2 is opened, and an eave 4 is provided above the hole 3 for the purpose of preventing sunlight from directly hitting the LED 2 and canceling out the light emitted from the LED 2 to impair the visibility. Is provided.
In one hole 3 of the partition plate 1, two LEDs 2a that emit green light are arranged on the upper side, which is likely to be shaded by sunlight due to the eaves 4, and one LED 2b that emits red light below the center of the two LEDs 2a. The dots are arranged individually to form one dot. Here, the LED 2 is arranged such that the center point 5 of the triangle connecting the centers of the three LEDs is closer to the eaves 4 than the center point 6 of the hole 3 for inserting the LED of the partition plate 1. I have. This arrangement prevents the visibility from being impaired by sunlight by bringing one dot of the LED closer to the eaves 4 and also reduces the visibility from below due to the shadow of the lower eaves described below. This is to prevent it. Further, the upper surface 4a of the eaves 4 is tapered in order to prevent the LEDs 2b that emit red light from being hidden by the eaves 4 and impairing visibility when the LED display is mounted outdoors and viewed from below (in the direction of the arrow). It is formed in a shape. As a result, when the present LED display is installed at a high place such as a building wall surface, the display contents can be read not only from a distant near horizontal direction but also from a position where a relatively close LED display is looked up. .

In the present invention, one LED that emits red light for one dot and two LEDs that emit green light are used. However, more LEDs may be used. Even in this case, it is preferable that the number of LEDs that emit green light is larger than the number of LEDs that emit red light to compensate for the difference in luminance.

As described above, according to one embodiment of the present invention, according to the present invention, an LED which emits green light having a lower luminance than an LED which emits red light per dot of an LED display. , The green luminance is large,
Good visibility outdoors because there is a green color on the eaves side that is not easily affected by sunlight. Further, the entire LED constituting one dot is arranged above the hole of one dot of the partition plate, and the upper part of the eaves is tapered, so that the visibility from below is improved when the LED display is attached. .
