2. Description of the Related Art A conventional nail clipper of this type is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 10-17787. In this nail clipper, an upper blade body and a lower blade body are rotatably supported by an opening / closing central shaft portion, and the blade edges are formed opposite to each other on the upper and lower blade bodies on the tip side of the coaxial portion. The upper and lower blades are pushed apart from each other by a leaf spring provided between the upper and lower blades on the base end side of the coaxial portion, so that the cutting edges are separated. A case is rotatably supported on the upper blade body on the base end side of the coaxial portion. Then, when the case is rotated to the rear of the upper blade body during use,
The upper and lower blades are pushed apart by the leaf spring. When the lower blade body is pressed downward against the urging force of the leaf spring in this use state, the upper and lower blade edges come into contact with each other. When the case is rotated on the lower blade body when not in use, and pressed down against the urging force of the leaf spring, the upper and lower blade bodies are folded into the case in a state of being overlapped with each other.

In particular, a storage space 6 is provided in the upper blade 1, and the pressing lever 16 is movably supported on the lower blade 9 by their fulcrums 18 and guides 15. Then, by moving the pressing lever 16, the pressing lever 16 can press the lower blade body 9 against the urging force of the spring 8 by the power point portion 21 at the time of use, and at the time of non-use. The pressing lever 16 can be folded in the storage space 6 of the upper blade body 1.

An elongated guide hole 15 is formed in the lever connection portion 13 of the lower blade body 9 so as to extend in the front-rear direction. A bifurcated support arm 17 is formed at the front portion of the pressing lever 16, and the support shaft 18 is passed through the elongated guide hole 15 so that the support arm 1 is connected to the support arm 1 in a state where the lever connection portion 13 is overlapped between the support arms 17.
7 to form a fulcrum. Pressing lever 16
Is vertically rotatable with respect to the lever connection portion 13 of the lower blade body 9 by the guide slot 15 and the support shaft 18, and is movable in the front-back direction along the guide slot 15. A guide slot 15 is provided on the lever connection portion 13 of the lower blade body 9.
An avoiding groove 19 is formed further behind, and a locking wall 20 protrudes from the rear side of the avoiding groove 19. A power point portion 21 is provided between the two supporting arms 17 of the pressing lever 16 behind the support shaft 14, and is formed between the locking wall 22 projecting from the base end of the two supporting arms 17 and the power point portion 21. An avoidance hole 23 is formed between them. Locking projections 16a are formed on both sides of the rear end of the pressing lever 16.

In the use state shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the support shaft 18 of the pressing lever 16 is located in front of the guide slot 15 of the lower blade body 9 and the power point portion 2 of the pressing lever 16 is located.
1 is in contact with the lever connecting portion 13 apart from the avoidance groove 19 of the lower blade body 9 and the locking wall 2 of the pressing lever 16
2 is engaged with the avoiding groove 19 of the lower blade body 9 and is engaged with the locking wall 20 of the lower blade body 9. Due to the engagement between the locking walls 20 and 22 and the engagement between the guide elongated hole 15 and the support shaft 18, the pressing lever 16 is prevented from moving in the front-rear direction with respect to the lever connecting portion 13 of the lower blade body 9. I have. The upper and lower blades 1, 9 are pushed apart from each other by the urging force of the leaf spring 8, and the cutting edges 1a, 9a of the upper and lower blades 1, 9 are separated. Lever connecting portion 13 of lower blade body 9 and pressing lever 16 connected thereto
Is inclined above the upper blade body 1. Then, when the pressing lever 16 is pressed downward, the lower blade 9
The lever connection portion 13 is pressed downward against the urging force of the leaf spring portion 8, and the cutting edges 1a, 9a of the upper and lower blade members 1, 9 abut against each other.

On the other hand, when not in use, the support shaft 18 of the pressing lever 16 is moved to the rear side of the guide slot 15 of the lower blade body 9,
The force point portion 21 of the pressing lever 16 is moved to the avoidance groove 19 of the lower blade body 9.
And the locking wall 20 of the lower blade body 9 is inserted into the avoidance hole 23 of the leverage lever 16. When the pressing lever 16 is pressed downward, as shown in FIG. 4, the blade edges 1a and 9a of the upper and lower blades 1 and 9 come into contact with each other, and the lever connecting portion 13 of the lower blade 9 and the pressing lever 16 are pressed. Further, as shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, when the support shaft 18 of the pressing lever 16 is moved forward along the guide slot 15 of the lower blade body 9, the both locking projections of the pressing lever 16 are moved. The portion 16a is locked by the locking recesses 4a and 5a of the upper blade body 1, and prevents the pressing lever 16 and the lever connecting portion 13 of the lower blade body 9 from rotating upward by the urging force of the leaf spring 8. I do.
In this folded state, the lower blade 9 and the pressing lever 16
The upper and lower blades 1 and 9 and the pressing lever 16 can be compactly folded to reduce the thickness of the nail clipper. Also, when not in use, the blade edges 1a, 9a of the upper and lower blade bodies 1, 9 abut against each other and close,
When the folded nail clipper is put in the pocket, the cutting edge 1a, 9
Therefore, there is no danger of the pocket being damaged by a and the finger or the like being injured by the cutting edges 1a and 9a.

In the folded state shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, if the support shaft 18 of the pressing lever 16 is moved slightly rearward along the guide slot 15 of the lower blade body 9, the state shown in FIG. , The lower blade body 9 is rotated by the urging force of the leaf spring 8,
The use state shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is obtained. As described above, in the present embodiment, the upper and lower blades 1 and 9 are rotatably supported by the support shaft 14 and the leaf spring 8 is provided between the upper and lower blades 1 and 9. Since the blade body 1 is effectively used as a storage case for the lower blade body 9 and the pressing lever 16,
The operating state and the folded non-operating state can be easily changed simply by moving the pressing lever 16 with respect to the lower blade body 9. Therefore, unlike the case of the related art, a conventional storage case that projects rearward of the lower blade body during use and becomes obstructive is not required, and is very easy to use.

In the embodiment described above, the upper blade body 9 and the pressing lever 16 are held in the upper blade body 1 in the folded state against the urging force of the leaf spring 8 as the upper blade body. 1 and the pressing lever 16, the locking uneven portions 4 a, 5 a,
The push lever 16 is provided so that it can be disengaged by moving the push lever 16. However, instead of such a stopper, for example, the upper blade body 1 and the push lever 16 can be held in the state shown in FIG. May be lockable.

According to the present invention, there is provided a nail clipper of a type in which the upper and lower blades 1, 9 are rotatably supported and the spring 8 is provided between the upper and lower blades 1, 9 and is not used. When folded, the upper blade body 1 is effectively used as a storage case for the lower blade body 9 and the pressing lever 16, so that unlike the related art, the upper blade body 1 protrudes rearward from the lower blade body during use and is obstructive. No storage case is required, making it very easy to use.
