池等を一個或るいは複数個収納した電池装置に関するも
のであり、特に、これら電池廃棄時の問題点を解決する
ものである。

【従来の技術】近年、カメラ、無線機等の携帯用電気機
器、或るいはコンピュタ−等のメモリバックアップ用途
において、アルカリ−マンガン電池、リチウム電池など
の一次電池を、単品の状態或るいは複数個をパック電池
としたものが用いられている。

池の自己放電は小さくなっており、特に、リチウム電池
は自己放電率が極めて小さく、放置されても電池は生き
たままの状態が長期間継続することになる。

【0007】このような容量を残した電池が廃棄され、
他の廃棄物中の導電性を有するものによって両端子間が
接続された状態となると、この電池は短絡状態となり、
発熱、漏液を引き起こす。

【0008】また、電池が大量に捨てられ、容量を残し
た電池と、完全放電の電池とが接続され、短絡或るいは
放電されるような状態に陥ると、完全放電の電池が強制
的に放電され、いわゆる過放電状態となる。過放電状態
になると、電池内では通常の放電反応は起こらず電解液
が分解され、可燃性のガスが発生し、電池が短絡、或る
いは過放電された際の熱によって、危険な状態となる。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】本考案は前記問題点に
鑑みてなされたものであって、電池が廃棄された場合、
他の導電物で電池の端子間が通電状態となることによ
り、電池が発熱、漏液したり、過放電されることによっ
て電池内部で可燃性のガスが発生するというような、安
全上好ましくない事態を解決するものである。この結
果、廃棄後安全性において問題を生じない電池装置を提
案するものである。
鑑みてなされたものであって、電池が廃棄された場合、
他の導電物で電池の端子間が通電状態となることによ
り、電池が発熱、漏液したり、過放電されることによっ
て電池内部で可燃性のガスが発生するというような、安
全上好ましくない事態を解決するものである。この結
果、廃棄後安全性において問題を生じない電池装置を提
案するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本考案の電池装置は、少
なくとも一つの電池と、前記電池の端子間を接続する抵
抗性部材とからなり、前記抵抗性部材が、前記電池の端
子間を短絡させる部位と前記電池の端子間を短絡させな
い部位に装着可能な電池装置である。

ースの前記外部端子間を短絡させない部位に装着可能な
電池装置としてもよい。

設けられた外部端子間を、抵抗性部材により接続して、
小さな電流で放電させることにより、電池容量を消費し
てしまう。この結果、電池を廃棄した場合であっても、
前述するような問題点を生じない。

述する。 [第1実施例] 図1は本考案による電池装置の斜視図である。ここで、
Aは機器に電池装置を装填する場合の全体斜視図であ
る。また、Bは抵抗性部材1と電池ケース4の分解斜視
図である。そして、Cは電池装置を廃棄する状態を示す
全体斜視図である。

は、リチウム一次電池が複数個(この実施例では2個)
収納され直列に接続されている。そしてこの状態で、電
池装置から外部端子3を通して、電池の電気的エネルギ
ーが取り出せる。

外部端子3は、電池ケース4内に収納された電池の一方

は、リチウム一次電池が複数個(この実施例では2個)
収納され直列に接続されている。そしてこの状態で、電
池装置から外部端子3を通して、電池の電気的エネルギ
ーが取り出せる。

池(図示せず)をその内部に収納した電池ケース4とは
離間できるように構成されているので、Aに示す電池装
置を使用機器から取り出し、抵抗性部材1を、電池ケー
ス4の底部5から取り外す。尚、この電池ケース4は合
成樹脂から構成された、二つ割りのケースから構成され
ている。

置を使用機器から取り出し、抵抗性部材1を、電池ケー

されたテープ状の部材である。これは電池の側面に配置
された絶縁性チューブ25の一部を取り除き、電池の他
方極端子を兼ねる電池外装缶を露出させて露出部26を
構成し、この露出部26と電池の一方極端子27とを、
前記抵抗性部材21によって、抵抗接続して電池を放電
消費させるようになっている。

ても、電池間の接続による過放電状態の発生、端子間の
短絡時の熱による危険な状態等を回避し、安全性に優れ
た電池装置が提供できるので、その工業的価値は極めて
大きい。

- 【請求項1】 少なくとも一つの電池と、 前記電池の端子間を接続する抵抗性部材とからなり、 前記抵抗性部材が、前記電池の端子間を短絡させる部位

と、前記電池と電気的に接続された外部端子とを有する
