Abstract
Description

さらに、ステップ28において、決定された比または決定された比から計算された測定基準(metric)(例えば、平均検出比または平滑化検出比)を、さらに1つまたは複数の閾値と比較することができる。

この実施例1では、発作を起こしやすい患者を、EMG電極を用いて発作活動について監視した。患者の上腕二頭筋にセンサを配置し、EMG信号を収集し、収集した信号を発作活動の存在について分析し、発作を検出した。図4は、患者のEMG信号データを示す。図4に示すEMGデータについてピーク検出アルゴリズムを実行した。図5は、EMGデータにおいて、かつ間代相検出窓の開始および終了時間内に識別された様々な上昇した信号部分を示す。間代相で識別された複数のサンプルの上昇した部分間の時間を、検出されたサンプルの検出された間隔数に対してプロットし、線形最小二乗回帰分析に入力した。その線形近似の結果を図6に示す。同図に示されているように、実施例1のデータから決定された傾きは正で統計的に有意である。その性状はてんかん発作に特徴的なものであり、患者の発作が間代相を含んでいたという知見を確証するために使用され得る。
この実施例2では、図7A、図7B、図7C、図7Dおよび図7Eを参照して、多数の検出された発作を後処理した結果を示す。特に、5つの検出された全身性強直性間代性(GTC)発作および1つの検出された心因性非てんかん性発作が示されている。間代相において識別された複数のサンプルの上昇した部分間の時間を、検出されたサンプルについての検出された間隔数に対してプロットした。線形最小二乗回帰分析を、6つの検出された事象のそれぞれに関するデータに対して実施した。GTC発作として陽性に識別された事象についての回帰分析の結果を図7A、図7B、図7C、図7Dおよび図7Eに示す。すべての事象は、正で統計的に有意な傾きを示した。検出された心因性非てんかん性発作の場合、図8に示すように、回帰分析は負の傾きを示した。
Claims (15)
- 発作活動について患者を監視する方法であって、前記方法は、
1つまたは複数の筋電図電極を使用して筋電図信号を収集するステップと、
前記筋電図信号をプロセッサに送信するステップと、
前記筋電図信号が信号の振幅において上昇部を含むかどうかを識別するために、収集された筋電図信号をプロセッサで処理するステップと、
信号の振幅において上昇部が存在しているとき、間代相窓内の信号の振幅における複数の上昇部の間の時間が非てんかん性心因性事象に典型的である様式に変化しているかどうかを分析するステップと、
前記複数の上昇部の間の時間が非てんかん性心因性事象に典型的である様式に変化している場合、結果を介護者に報告するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記分析するステップは、信号の振幅における前記複数の上昇部の間の前記時間が経時的にどのように変化するかについての線形近似を決定することと、前記線形近似から傾きを得ることと、前記傾きが最大閾値以下であるかどうかを決定することと、を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記最大閾値が約0.8である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記間代相窓は、1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定された開始時間を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記間代相窓は、1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定された開始時間を含み、かつ
前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンの少なくとも1つは、発作の間代相の開始付近の1つまたは複数の時間を検出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記間代相窓は開始時間および終了時間を含み、前記開始時間および前記終了時間の各々が、前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定され、かつ
前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンの少なくとも1つは、発作の間代相の開始付近の1つまたは複数の時間を検出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法は、
間代相窓内の信号の振幅における前記複数の上昇部の間の時間がてんかん性の発作に典型的である様式に変化するかを分析することと、
前記複数の上昇部の間の前記時間がてんかん性の発作に典型的である様式に変化している場合、結果を介護者に報告することと、をさらに含む方法。 - 前記分析するステップは、信号の振幅における前記複数の上昇部の間の前記時間が経時的にどのように変化するかについての線形近似を決定することと、前記線形近似から傾きを得ることと、前記傾きが最小閾値以上であるかどうかを決定することと、を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記最小閾値は、約1.0から約5.0の間である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記間代相窓は、1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定された開始時間を含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記間代相窓は、1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定された開始時間を含み、かつ
前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンの少なくとも1つは、発作の間代相の開始付近の1つまたは複数の時間を検出するように構成されている、請求項7に記載の方法。 - 前記間代相窓は開始時間および終了時間を含み、前記開始時間および前記終了時間の各々が、前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定され、かつ
前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンの少なくとも1つは、発作の間代相の開始付近の1つまたは複数の時間を検出するように構成されている、請求項7に記載の方法。 - 発作活動について患者を監視する方法であって、前記方法は、
1つまたは複数の筋電図電極を使用して筋電図信号を収集するステップと、
前記筋電図信号をプロセッサに送信するステップと、
前記筋電図信号が信号の振幅において上昇部を含むかどうかを識別するために、収集された筋電図信号をプロセッサで処理するステップと、
信号の振幅において上昇部が存在しているとき、間代相窓内の信号の振幅における複数の上昇部の間の時間がてんかん性の発作に典型的である様式に変化しているかどうかを分析するステップと、
前記複数の上昇部の間の時間がてんかん性の発作に典型的である様式に変化している場合、結果を介護者に報告するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記間代相窓は開始時間および終了時間を含み、前記開始時間および前記終了時間の各々が、前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンを使用して決定され、かつ
前記1つまたは複数の発作検出ルーチンの少なくとも1つは、発作の間代相の開始付近の1つまたは複数の時間を検出するように構成されている、請求項13に記載の方法。 - 発作活動について患者を監視する方法であって、前記方法は、
筋電図信号が信号の振幅において上昇部を含むかどうかを識別するために、前記筋電図信号のデータをプロセッサで処理するステップと、
信号の振幅において上昇部が存在しているとき、間代相窓内の信号の振幅における複数の上昇部の間の時間が非てんかん性心因性事象に典型的である様式に変化しているかどうかを分析するステップと、
前記複数の上昇部の間の前記時間が非てんかん性心因性事象に典型的である様式に変化している場合、結果を介護者に報告するステップと、
を含む方法。
