Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a communication device, a system, an information processing method, and a program.
IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)では、HTTP/1.1の次期の規格であるHTTP/2が提案されている。
また、HTTPを用いたストリーミング技術として、MPEG−DASH(Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)が提案されている。
In recent years, with the development of the web, speeding up of HTTP / 1.1 has been demanded. In the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), HTTP / 2, which is the next standard of HTTP / 1.1, is proposed.
Also, MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) has been proposed as a streaming technique using HTTP. In MPEG-DASH, streaming is realized by dividing distribution contents and listing them in description data called MPD files.
An MPD file update method is disclosed as a method for efficiently transmitting an MPEG-DASH MPD file (Patent Document 1). The client requests a part of the MPD file from the server.
However, there is a possibility that it takes time until the content reproduction is started after the content reproduction is determined. For example, if the client acquires an MPD file, an application, metadata, and the like from the distribution server after determining the start of streaming and before acquiring the actual distribution content, the acquisition process takes time. As a result, it takes time from the decision to start streaming to the reproduction of the distribution content.
An object of the present invention is to shorten the time from the determination of content playback to the start of content playback.
The present invention includes: a first generation unit that generates a description file indicating content information; a first transmission unit that transmits a push notification including the description file generated by the first generation unit; And second transmission means for transmitting the content when there is a content acquisition request based on the description file included in the push notification.
According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the time from the determination of content playback to the start of content playback.

In the present embodiment, it is assumed that the push notification includes the MPD file, the application, and the head portion of the distribution content and has already been received.
