Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor required for prevention of growth or removal of weeds in a paddy field in the case of cultivating rice without using agrochemicals or the like.SOLUTION: By controlling a small sized air boat equipped with an agitating machine for preventing the growth of the weeds by a computer, and moving everywhere in the paddy field freely while avoiding obstructive objects (rice), the growth of the weeds is prevented. For the recognition of the obstructive objects (rice), an image recognition by using a CCD or a radio detector like a radar is used. To move in everywhere in the paddy field, data obtained by adding a position information from a gyro sensor to the information on the obstructive objects (rice) are recorded on a memory as a map to discriminate the traveled parts and untraveled parts. To shorten working time, a plurality of robots are operated, and by sharing information with each other through a wireless LAN, the work can be shared.
