Abstract
【解決手段】 電動車は、車体と、車体に回転可能に設けられている車輪と、車輪にトルクを加えるモータと、電動工具用の電池パックが取付可能な電池取付部と、電池取付部に取り付けられた電池パックからモータへ電力を供給する回路ユニットを備えている。この電動車は、電動工具用の電池パックを電源として使用することができ、専用の電池パックや充電器を必要としない。ユーザは、電動工具用の電池パックを、電動工具と電動車によって有効に活用することができる。

Description
第一に、電動工具に用いられる電池パックは、他の携帯機器用の電池パックと比較して、高い出力電圧と大きな充電容量を有しており、電動車の電源として十分に使用することができる。また、電動工具用の電池パックは、屋外などの過酷な条件下で使用されることも多いことから、多くの優れた技術が開発、採用されており、製品の信頼性(故障のしにくさ)に優れている。
この電動車は、電動工具用の電池パックを電源として使用することができ、専用の電池パックや充電器を必要としない。電動工具のユーザは、所有する電動工具用の電池パックを、電動車にも有効に利用することができる。電池パックの使用頻度が高まることから、多くの電池パックを所有することが無駄にならず、多くの電池パックを所有することによって、必要時にはより長時間に亘って電動工具を使用することが可能となる。
(特徴1) 電動車は、出力電圧(公称)が18ボルトである電動工具用の電池パックを使用することができる。ただし、電動車は、例えば36ボルトや14.4ボルトのように、他の出力電圧を有する電動工具用の電池パックを使用することもできるし、出力電圧が100ボルトを超える電動工具用の電池パックを使用してもよい。電池パックの出力電圧は特に限定されない。また、電動車は、所定の出力電圧を有する電池パックのみを使用可能に構成することもできるし、出力電圧の異なる複数種類の電池パックを使用可能に構成することもできる。
電動自転車10は、クランクペダル30の中心シャフト28に同軸に固定された駆動スプロケット26と、後輪36に同軸に固定された従動スプロケット38と、駆動スプロケット26と従動スプロケット38の両者に掛け渡されているチェーン32を備えている。駆動スプロケット26と従動スプロケット38とチェーン32は、これらの部材は、クランクペダル30に加えられた力を後輪36に伝達する人力伝達機構を構成している。ここで、人力伝達機構は、チェーン32を用いた伝達機構に限られず、伝達ベルトを用いた伝達機構であってもよいし、回転シャフトを用いた伝達機構であってもよい。
ここで、電動自転車10に使用する電池パック100に関して、二次電池セルの種類は特に限定されない。また、電池パック100が内蔵する電池セルの数も特に限定されることはなく、電池パック100の出力電圧に関して特段の制限も存在しない。電動自転車10は、例えば、出力電圧が14.4ボルト、18ボルト、36ボルトの電池パックを使用することもできるし、出力電圧が100ボルトを超える電池パックを使用することもできる。使用する電池パック100の電圧に応じて、必要な設計変更を行えばよい。
図10に示すように、実施例2の電動自転車10では、電池取付部54に三つパック受入部60a、60b、60cが設けられており、最大で三つの電池パック100a、100b、100c(以下では、電池パック100と略すことがある)が着脱可能となっている。各々のパック受入部60a、60b、60cには、実施例1と同様に、一対のリブ62a、62b、62cと接続プラグ64a、64b、64cが設けられている。各々の接続プラグ64a、64b、64cは、正極接続端子66a、66b、66cと、負極接続端子68a、68b、68cと、通信コネクタ70a、70b、70cを備えている。ここで、電池取付部54は、二つの電池パック100を取付可能に構成することもできるし、三つを超える数の電池パック100を取付可能に構成することもできる。
本実施例では、並列に接続された三つの電池パック100により、モータ58へ電力を供給することができる。従って、モータ58へ多くの電力を供給することが可能となり、電動自転車10の航続時間や航続距離を向上させることができる。
図15に示すように、実施例3の供給回路72は、取り付けられた三つの電池パック100a、100b、100cが、モータ58に対して直列に接続することができる。即ち、実施例3の供給回路72では、第1の接続プラグ64aの負極接続端子68aが、第1の接続線82aを介して第2の接続プラグ64bの正極接続端子66bに接続されており、第2の接続プラグ64bの負極接続端子68bが、第2の接続線82bを介して第3の接続プラグ64cの正極接続端子66cに接続されている。
実施例3の電動自転車10では、直列に接続された三つの電池パック100により、モータ58に高い電圧を印加することができる。モータ58に大きな電流を通電することができ、モータ58の出力するトルクを高めることができる。実施例3の電動自転車10によると、ユーザは、モータ58からより大きな補助力を受けることができ、急な坂道でも楽に登ることができる。

Claims (15)
- 車体と、
前記車体に回転可能に設けられている車輪と、
前記車輪にトルクを加えるモータと、
電動工具用の電池パックが取付可能な電池取付部と、
前記電池取付部に取り付けられた電池パックからモータへ電力を供給する回路ユニットと、
を備える電動車。 - 前記電池取付部は、複数の電動工具用の電池パックが取付可能であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、前記電池取付部に取り付けられた複数の電池パックを、並列に接続可能であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、前記電池取付部に取り付けられた複数の電池パックを個々に、モータから電気的に切断可能であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、前記電池取付部に取り付けられた複数の電池パックのなかで、モータへ電力を供給する電池パックを順に切替可能であることを特徴とする請求項2から4のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、前記電池取付部に取り付けられた複数の電池パックを、直列に接続可能であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電動車。
- 前記電動車は電動自転車であり、ユーザが力を加えるペダルとペダルに加えられた力を車輪に伝達する人力伝達機構をさらに備える請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、ユーザがペダルに加えた力に応じて、電池パックからモータに供給する電力を調節することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電動車。
- 前記電動車は、前記車体として荷物を支持するカート本体を有し、そのカート本体に一対の車輪が同軸に設けられたキャリーカートであって、
前記電池取付部に取り付けられた電池パックの少なくとも一部が、前記一対の車輪の間に位置することを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。 - 前記電動車は、一輪手押し車であり、前記モータは、前記車輪に組み込まれたインホイール型のモータであることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記電動車は、前記車体として荷物を収容するケース本体を有し、そのケース本体に前記車輪が設けられており、前記電池取付部に対する電池パックの着脱が、ケース本体の内側のみから可能であることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記電動車は、前記車体に刈刃が設けられた芝刈機であり、前記モータは前記車輪と前記刈刃の両者にトルクを加えることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記電動車は、前記車体に耕耘ロータが設けられた耕運機であり、前記モータは前記車輪と前記耕耘ロータの両者にトルクを加えることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 前記回路ユニットは、ユーザが電動車に加えた力に応じて、モータへ供給する電力を調節することを特徴とする請求項9から13のいずれか一項に記載の電動車。
- 電動工具と、
その電動工具に取付可能な電動工具用の電池パックと、
その電動工具用の電池パックが前記電池取付部に取付可能な請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の電動車と、
その電動工具用の電池パックを充電可能な充電器と、
を備える組み合わせ。
