無線通信機能を有するSIMカードを搭載する携帯端末装置との間で無線通信を行うリーダライタ装置であって、
前記携帯端末装置との間で無線通信を行うアンテナ手段と、
前記アンテナ手段を介した無線通信を制御する無線通信制御手段とを備え、
前記アンテナ手段は、第1アンテナ部及び前記第1アンテナ部とは異なる位置に設置される第2アンテナ部から構成され、
前記無線通信制御手段は、前記第1アンテナ部と前記第2アンテナ部のそれぞれを用いて前記携帯端末装置に認証レベル設定信号を送信し、前記認証レベル設定信号のそれぞれの受信強度値を含む応答信号を前記携帯端末装置から受信して前記それぞれの受信強度値を検出し、前記検出したそれぞれの受信強度値に基づいて、前記携帯端末装置へ無線通信する際に前記第1アンテナ部を用いるか前記第2アンテナ部を用いるかを判断するリーダライタ装置。
