Description

The present invention relates to a paper sheet handling apparatus that handles deposits and withdrawals of paper sheets (banknotes).

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a bill handling apparatus is built in an automatic cash transaction apparatus used in a financial institution or the like. This banknote handling apparatus includes a deposit / withdrawal port for depositing / withdrawing banknotes by a user, a banknote identifying section for identifying banknotes, and a conveyance path for transporting banknotes that have passed through the banknote identifying section, and for depositing banknotes Temporary storage to temporarily store, recycle storage for storing deposited banknotes and banknotes for withdrawal, and stored banknotes that are not stored in the recycle storage and banknotes that are not stored in the recycle bank and are not used for withdrawal The non-recycling warehouse to be used is combined with a loading / collecting warehouse for replenishing and collecting banknotes with respect to the recycling warehouse.

As an example of the deposit / withdrawal unit of such a device, a pocket-type deposit / withdrawal device that inserts a banknote to be deposited in a substantially vertical direction into a user deposit / withdrawal port or takes out the dispensed banknote upwards. Has been put into practical use (see Patent Document 1).

As another example, banknotes are put into and out of the deposit / withdrawal port in the horizontal direction, and when making withdrawals, the banknotes drawn from the storage unit are slightly ejected from the deposit / withdrawal port so that the user can easily receive them. There is a deposit / withdrawal device configured as described above (see Patent Document 2).

In addition, there is a deposit / withdrawal device provided with a transfer means for transporting the withdrawal banknotes accumulated in the withdrawal opening at the time of withdrawal transaction to an external withdrawal banknote pick-up position (see Patent Document 3).

特開2000−172903号公報JP 2000-172903 A 特開2005−259086号公報Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2005-259086 特開平9−223255号公報JP-A-9-223255

However, in Patent Document 1, in the case of a pocket-type deposit / withdrawal port in which a banknote is inserted into a deposit / withdrawal port arranged substantially vertically, the lower end surface of the bills is aligned by gravity because the storage unit is arranged substantially vertically. When inserted, the skew of the banknote is corrected. In addition, foreign objects such as coins that were accidentally sandwiched between banknote bundles fall by gravity before separating the banknotes one by one. The problem will not occur. However, the banknote in the deposit slot has many blind spots as viewed from the user, and there is a risk of forgetting to remove it. Further, there is a problem that the user needs to put his / her hand into the pocket-shaped deposit / withdrawal slot at the timing of inserting / removing banknotes, and the operability is poor and a sense of fear is felt.

On the other hand, in Patent Document 2, the withdrawal banknote is visible and is easily received because it is aligned with the tray in the horizontal direction with its own weight. However, since the user inserts banknotes in the horizontal direction at the time of depositing, the banknote end faces cannot be aligned by gravity, and when they are inserted unevenly, the banknotes are separated one by one as they are. Therefore, in the transport / identification / stacking after separation, inconveniences such as jamming or poor stacking in the storage unit may occur. In addition, there is a problem that foreign matter such as coins is not dropped and causes clogging in the apparatus when it is transported to a storage unit together with banknotes.

Further, in Patent Document 3, the shutter provided in the withdrawal port can be operated only in two ways, that is, opening (to be largely opened) or closing, and even without putting a hand inside the withdrawal port. Even if the withdrawal banknote can be taken out with peace of mind, there is a problem that the user feels a sense of fear when the inside of the withdrawal opening can be seen.

In view of the above-described problems, the present invention provides a pocket-type deposit / withdrawal port mechanism in which a user deposits / withdraws bills and a storage unit that separates / stacks bills in a substantially vertical manner. A banknote handling device that improves the operability of the user and can be used with peace of mind by providing banknote delivery means that moves between them while maintaining the features of securing the reliability of banknote handling using gravity. Is to provide.

In view of the above-described problems, the present invention has a pocket-type deposit / withdrawal port in which a user inserts / deposits banknotes. When a banknote is sandwiched and raised / lowered, (1) a shutter that opens / closes forward / backward is closed in a half-open state. (2) A guide that sandwiches the banknote from the front and back is installed in the pocket, (3) A part of the path through which the banknote moves is bent, (4) A movement that clamps and moves the banknote from the front and back The means is that the driving force is applied only to one side.

Advantages of the present invention are as follows: (1) Even when the wind is installed outdoors and a strong wind blows, the banknote can be reliably delivered to the user without being scattered because it is held by the shutter. Moreover, since the user does not have to insert his / her hand into the deposit / withdrawal port, the user does not feel a sense of fear. Since it is possible to prevent forgetting and to insert aligned banknotes, it is possible to provide a device with extremely good operability for wheelchair users. (2) With the attached guide, it is possible to suppress the spread of the two-fold or four-fold banknotes. (3) Since the movement path is partially bent, the banknotes are strengthened to be easily conveyed, and banknote skew and jamming are prevented. Subsequent separation, conveyance, identification, and accumulation are stable operations, and a highly reliable paper sheet handling apparatus can be provided. (4) When the dispensed banknote is received, since the banknote is displaced in the vertical direction, the user can easily confirm the number of sheets.

Furthermore, the lower banknote mechanism 1b is mounted in the safe housing 106, and the transport path between the upper transport mechanism 1a and the lower banknote mechanism 1b is connected by the coupled transport paths 501f and 501g.

The drive source (motor) for the transport path may be provided separately for the transport path of the upper transport mechanism 1a and the transport path of the lower bill mechanism 1b, but a single drive source may be used.

The conveyance path 50 passes through the banknote recognition unit 30 in both directions, and passes through the conveyance paths indicated by arrows 501a to 501o and 901a to 901d. A collection box 61, a fake ticket collection box 62, a reject box 63, a safe box A 70, a bank box B 71, a recycle box 80, and a loading / collection box 90 are connected. Of each arrow, a one-way arrow is a one-way conveyance path that conveys bills only in the direction of the arrow, and a two-way arrow is a two-way conveyance path that conveys bills by switching between two directions for each transaction operation. is there.

These transport paths 50 are driven by a drive motor (not shown), and the rotation direction of the motor is switched for each transaction operation. Furthermore, there are switching gates 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507 and four switching gates 902 at the branch point of the banknote transport path 50, and the banknote transport direction is switched for each transaction operation.

The banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 configured as described above performs a depositing / withdrawing operation by a user, a loading / collecting operation by an attendant, and an automatic collecting operation for a banknote that the user forgets to remove.

During the depositing operation, the banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 separates the banknotes inserted into the depositing / dispensing port mechanism 20 one by one, and the banknote identifying unit 30 determines the denomination / authenticity of the banknotes. If it can be identified, the banknote is temporarily stored in the temporary storage 40 at the switching gate 503. When the banknote recognition unit 30 cannot identify the banknote, or when an inclination (skew) abnormality or an interval between the banknotes becomes abnormal, the banknote is stored as a deposit reject banknote in the deposit / withdrawal slot mechanism 20 at the switching gate 503. Return it to the user.

When the transaction is confirmed, the banknotes stored in the temporary storage 40 are sent out in the reverse direction in the reverse order of storage, pass through the banknote identification unit 30, and at the switching gate 902, the safe deposit box 60, the recycle box. 80. The money is stored in the designated storage box of the reject box 63, and the depositing operation is finished.

At the time of the withdrawal operation, the banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 delivers a predetermined number of banknotes from the safes for each denomination of the withdrawal safe A70, the withdrawal safe B71, and the recycle box 80, and the banknote identification unit 30 selects the banknote denomination. The bills are identified and stored in the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 at the switching gate 503, and the bill is paid to the user. At the time of this payment, as will be described later, the upper part of the banknote can be in a state of protruding to the user side from the deposit / withdrawal port 21.

Moreover, the banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 can perform a loading and collecting operation via the banknote identification unit 30 between the loading / collecting warehouse 90 and the recycling warehouse 80. The loading operation is an operation in which a staff member collectively sets bills to be set for each denomination in the recycle box 80 in the loading / recovery box 90 and automatically loads and stores them in the recycling box 80 in the apparatus. The collecting operation is an operation of automatically collecting and storing a predetermined number of banknotes from the recycling store 80 to the loading / collecting store 90 through the reverse route to the loading operation when the recycling store 80 is full.

The banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 can automatically collect the banknotes forgotten when the user forgets to take the banknotes into the depositing / dispensing port mechanism 20 at the time of depositing and dispensing transactions. The forgetting to collect operation is an operation for storing the banknotes left in the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 in the forgetting to collect collection unit 61 in a lump.

5 to 7, the configuration and operation of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 which is the main part of the first embodiment of the present invention will be described.

The structure of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 will be described with reference to FIGS. In FIG. 5A, the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 is provided inside the deposit / withdrawal port 21 of the upper front plate 101b on the front surface of the apparatus housing 101a. The deposit / withdrawal port 21 has an opening 20a, and the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 is configured such that a user can deposit / withdraw bills in the deposit / withdrawal direction 200 through the opening 20a. The opening 20 a is provided with a front shutter 203 and a rear shutter 204 that slide in the opening / closing directions 201 and 202 orthogonal to the banknote depositing / withdrawing direction 200. The front shutter 203 and the rear shutter 204 are also collectively referred to as opening / closing means.

When installed in a place that is extremely susceptible to the influence of the external environment, the deposit / withdrawal slot 21 of the apparatus housing 101a is protected in order to protect banknotes popping out from the front / rear shutters 203/204 provided in the deposit / withdrawal slot mechanism 20. A double shutter structure may be provided by providing a transparent shutter in front.

Inside the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20, there is provided a pocket type storage unit 208 including a front plate 205, a rear plate 206 and a bottom plate 207. The deposited banknote inserted by the user is received by the lifter 209, then lowered to the position of the bottom plate 207, and taken into the apparatus in the direction of the arrow 211a by the separation roller 210. Further, after the banknotes to be paid out to the user are accumulated in the storage unit 208 by the stack roller 212 from the inside of the apparatus, the accumulated banknotes are lifted by the lifter 209 and conveyed to the user until they jump out of the opening 20a. . A front holding / conveying belt 213 and a rear holding / conveying belt 214 are provided in the vicinity of the front / rear shutters 203/204 of the storage unit 208, and a bill inserted by a user at the time of depositing is held and transferred into the storage unit 208, and It operates in conjunction with the up-and-down movement of the lifter 209 so that the banknotes accumulated in the storage unit 208 when paying out and returning the banknotes are jumped out of the opening 20a toward the user.

The front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 are configured to be movable in the directions of arrows 215 and 216, respectively, and are configured to be retracted outside the storage unit 208 when not in use. Further, the rear holding and conveying belt 214 is configured to be swingable in the direction of the arrow 218, and is biased in the direction of the front plate 205 in order to give a holding force to the banknote bundles having various thicknesses. The lifter 209 is configured to be movable in the direction of the arrow 217, and is configured to retract to the outside of the bottom plate 207 when not in use.

In FIG. 5B, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are fully opened, the front holding / conveying belt 213 and the rear holding / conveying belt 214 are retracted outside the storage unit 208, and the lifter 209 is retracted outside the bottom plate 207. Indicates the state.

6 (a) and 6 (b) show the operation mode of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 at the time of depositing.

With reference to FIG. 6A, preparation for drawing in the banknote 220 will be described. When the user selects deposit (deposit) on the transaction screen of the customer operation unit 105, the control unit 35 of the banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 instructs the depositing / dispensing port mechanism 20 to perform a depositing operation. 6A, the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear side holding and conveying belt 214 of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 are retracted to the outside of the storage unit 208 as an initial state. After the lifter 209 is raised in the direction of the arrow 217a, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are fully opened back and forth. When the user inserts the banknote 220 into the storage unit 208 and detects that it has been placed on the lifter 209 by detection means (not shown), the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are directed toward the inserted banknote 220 by arrows 201a. -It closes in the 202a direction and stops at the half-open position where it touches the banknote 220. The reason for half-opening is to prevent the user from accidentally inserting a hand into the storage unit 208. Further, before the drawing operation of the banknote 220 is started, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are closed to the half-open position so that the internal operation of the storage unit 208 is not shown so that a sense of fear is not felt.

Next, the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear side holding and conveying belt 214 are driven in the directions of the arrows 215a and 216a, and the banknote 220 is lightly held. Further, the front plate 205 and the rear plate 206 perform an operation of closing the upper side in the direction of the arrows 221a and 222a toward the inserted bill 220, stop at a position where it touches the bill 220, and guide the bill 220 to be taken downward. .

Further, the lifter 209 is assumed to rise in the direction of the arrow 217a to a position where a part of the banknote 220 protrudes to the outside of the deposit / withdrawal mechanism 20 before the banknote 220 is placed. This position is called a bill insertion position. Thereby, the user can easily confirm the location of the banknote to be deposited. When the banknote 220 is placed on the lifter 209, if the banknote 220 protrudes too much, the banknote 220 may fall down, so the protruding section is about one third of the entire banknote 220. It is good to set it to a moderate height.

Further, the front plate 205 and the front holding and conveying belt 213 may operate at the same timing, but can move independently without necessarily interlocking with each other. The same applies to the rear plate 206 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214.

Next, with reference to FIG. 6B, the drawing and feeding of the banknote 220 will be described. The lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed starts to descend in the direction of the arrow 217 b, and in conjunction with this, the front holding and conveying belt 213 rotates in the direction of the arrow 223 a, and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 depends on the thickness of the banknote 220. While rotating in the direction of the arrow 224a, the banknote 220 can be held by being biased in the direction of the arrow 218a by means such as a spring force (not shown). When the bill 220 is drawn into the storage unit 208, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 perform the closing operation in the directions of the arrows 201b and 202b, and the deposit / withdrawal port 21 is completely closed. When the banknote 220 is pulled into the storage unit 208, the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 stop driving and then move in the directions of arrows 215b and 216b, respectively, to move outside the storing unit 208. Evacuate to. The front plate 205 moves in the direction of the arrow 221b to prepare for feeding out the banknote 220, and the rear plate 206 advances in the direction of the arrow 222b in order to press the banknote 220 against the separation roller 210. The banknotes 220 are stored in the storage unit 208 in a substantially vertical state, and the lower end faces against the bottom plate 207 portion, so that the lower end portions can be aligned and then separated one by one by the action of the separation roller 210, Is taken in the direction of arrow 211a. Note that the lower part of the storage unit 208 where the banknote 220 is transferred and stored by the lifter 209 is referred to as a banknote stacking position.

7 (a) and 7 (b) show examples of operation modes of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 at the time of withdrawal and banknote return. With reference to FIG. 7A, the dispensing of the banknote 220 will be described. When withdrawing money from the user, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are completely closed as an initial position, and the front nip conveyance belt 213, the rear nip conveyance belt 214, and the lifter 209 are stored in the storage unit 208. It is in a state of being evacuated outside. The withdrawal banknote 220 is paid out from the inside of the apparatus in the direction of the arrow 211b and is accumulated in the storage unit 208 by the stack roller 212.

Next, with reference to FIG. 7B, the pop-up of the banknote 220 will be described. The front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 move in the directions of arrows 215a and 216a, respectively, to hold the bill 220, and the front plate 205 and the rear plate 206 close toward the bill 220 in the directions of arrows 221a and 222a. It stops at the position where it touches the banknote 220, and guides the banknote 220 lifted upward. The front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are half opened in the directions of the arrows 201c and 202c. The reason for half-opening is to prevent the user from accidentally inserting his / her hand into the storage unit 208 and taking out the banknote 220. Next, the lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed starts to rise in the direction of the arrow 217a, the front holding and conveying belt 213 rotates in the direction of the arrow 223b, and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 rotates in the direction of the arrow 224b. Push it up. When the banknote 220 pops out from the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 and is lifted to a predetermined height, the lifter 209 stops rising. Then, the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 are returned to the initial positions and retracted out of the storage unit 208. When the user receives the bill 220, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are completely closed.

In the above description, the upper side of the front plate 205 and the rear plate 206 performs the closing operation toward the banknote 220 and guides the banknote 220 that moves up and down in the depositing and dispensing operations. However, the depositing shown in FIG. Since the inserted bill 220 is lightly held by the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 before half-opening, the bill 220 does not spread, and the front plate 205 and the rear plate 206 are stopped from closing in the directions of the arrows 221a and 222a. Also good.

The lifter 209 carries the banknote 220 and rises in the direction of the arrow 217 a to a position where a part of the banknote 220 protrudes to the outside of the deposit / withdrawal mechanism 20. This position is referred to as a bill removal position. Thereby, the user can confirm easily the location of the banknote to withdraw. When the banknote 220 is placed on the lifter 209, if the banknote 220 protrudes too much, the banknote 220 may fall down, so the protruding section is about one third of the entire banknote 220. It is good to set it to a moderate height.

Here, the width of the deposit / withdrawal port when the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are in a half-open state will be described. (1) Predetermine the size of the deposit / withdrawal slot based on the tendency of the number of banknotes to be deposited / withdrawn, (2) Change the width of the deposit / withdrawal slot as needed when depositing or returning banknotes An operation method such as, etc. is conceivable.

When adopting the operation method (1), for example, in order to allow withdrawal of up to 1 million yen, the width of the deposit / withdrawal port is set to a width of several centimeters as the width of 100 million yen bills. As a result, there is an effect that it does not take time to change the size of the deposit / withdrawal port for each transaction.

When adopting the operation method (2), for example, at the time of withdrawal, the number of banknotes 220 to be dispensed is counted based on the withdrawal amount input by the user using the operation unit 105. The aspect of changing the width of the deposit / withdrawal port when the half-open state is set according to the number of banknotes 220 to be dispensed is adopted. As a result, the width of the banknote 220 lifted upward at the time of withdrawal can be matched with the width of the deposit / withdrawal port opened by the front / rear shutters 203 and 204, and there is no extra space, so the banknote 220 collapses. So that it can be held in a stable state. In addition, it is possible in advance to cause a situation in which the withdrawal operation cannot be performed because the width of the deposit / withdrawal port when the half-open state is determined is narrower than the width of the banknote 220 to be dispensed. Can be prevented. In addition, when returning banknotes, the number of banknotes 220 to be returned is counted in the same manner as at the time of withdrawal, and the width of the deposit / withdrawal port when changing to a half-open state according to the number of banknotes 220 to be returned is changed. To achieve the same effect.

8A and 8B, the configuration and operation of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 which is the main part of the second embodiment will be described. In Example 1 of FIGS. 6 and 7, the banknote 220 is sandwiched between the front plate 205 and the rear plate 206 in order to guide the banknote 220 moving up and down, but in the second embodiment, a dedicated banknote guide is attached. FIG. 8A is a plan view of the storage portion 208 as viewed from above. A pair of the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear side holding and conveying belt 214 are attached to the left and right, respectively, and face each other to hold and convey the banknote 220. The front guide 225 is connected to the front holding / conveying belt 213, and similarly the rear guide 226 is connected to the rear holding / conveying belt 214. Two sets are attached to the left and right, respectively, and face each other to guide the bill 220. .

FIG. 8B is a front view of the storage unit 208, and the banknotes for withdrawal 220 are paid out from the inside of the apparatus in the direction of the arrow 211 b and are stacked in the storage unit 208 by the stack roller 212. At this time, the two-fold banknote 220a and the four-fold banknote 220b spread inside the storage unit 208. The front guide 225 moves forward in the direction of the arrow 215c together with the front holding and conveying belt 213, and the rear guide 226 moves forward in the direction of the arrow 216c together with the rear holding and conveying belt 214, and the two-fold bill 220a and the four-fold bill. The fold of 220b is crushed (the banknote 220b is pressed from the front and back directions). After the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are half-opened in the directions of the arrows 201d and 202d, the lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed rises, so that the banknote 220 slips out of the half-opened front / rear shutters 203 and 204 and is used. Make it easier for people to receive.

9A and 9B illustrate the configuration and operation of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 which is the main part of the third embodiment. The dedicated banknote guides sandwiched between the banknotes 220 attached in Example 2 in FIG. 8 are not made to face each other in a straight line, but are made to alternate in the vertical and horizontal directions so that the banknotes 220 are moved back and forth. I try to bend it. FIG. 9A is a plan view of the storage unit 208 as viewed from above, and FIG. 9B is a front view of the storage unit 208. The front holding and conveying belt 213 has a belt extending upward, and a front guide 225 is also attached to extend upward. As a result, when the banknote 220 is sandwiched, the upper part of the rear holding / conveying belt 214 presses the lower part of the upper pulley of the front holding / conveying belt 213, and the front holding / conveying belt 213 is bent. The upper part of 220 bends to the rear side. Further, the front guide 225 also bends the upper part of the banknote 220 located at the upper part of the front holding and conveying belt 213 to the rear side. By doing so, the folded paper money 220a and the folded paper money 220b are stretched, become firm, and are easy to sandwich and convey. Further, after the banknote 220 jumps out from the front / rear shutters 203 and 204, the banknote 220 is further bent by slightly moving the front shutter 203 in the direction of the arrow 201a and lightly pressing the banknote 220. By doing so, when the user receives the banknote 220, it becomes easier to check the number of banknotes 220.

Although the above has been described with reference to the dispensing operation, the upper side of the banknote 220 is moved back by the front side clamping and conveying belt 213, the rear side clamping and conveying belt 214, the front guide 225 and the rear guide 226 with respect to the inserted banknote 220. Since the two-fold banknote 220a and the four-fold banknote 220b are bent, the folds are stretched, and the waist becomes strong and is easy to be nipped and conveyed.

(S301)。   Next, the details of the operation in the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 of FIG. 8 and FIG. 9 for the deposit / withdrawal transaction in the automatic teller machine will be described in order according to the control flowchart of FIG. The automatic teller machine 101 displays a transaction screen on the customer operation unit 105 (S101). When the user selects a transaction (S102), a cash card is inserted and identification is performed by inputting a password or reading and authenticating biometric information (S103). The automatic teller machine 101 executes a deposit operation when a deposit (deposit) transaction is selected (S201), and executes a withdrawal operation when a payout (withdrawal) transaction is selected (S301).

(S209)。   In the case of the depositing operation on the left side of FIG. 10, as the initial state, the front holding and conveying belt 213, the rear holding and conveying belt 214, the front guide 225 and the rear guide 226 are retracted, and the lifter 209 starts to rise (S201). The front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are fully opened (S202). When it is detected that the user has placed the deposited banknote 220 on the lifter 209 in the storage unit 208 (S203), the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are closed to a half-open state (S204), and then the front holding and conveying belt 213 is placed. The rear side holding and conveying belt 214, the front guide 225, and the rear guide 226 are advanced to hold the banknote 220 (S205). The lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed is lowered (S206), and the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear side holding and conveying belt 214 are rotated to draw in the banknote 220 (S207). When the banknote 220 arrives at the bottom plate 207, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are closed (S208), and the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 are retracted (S209).

Next, in the deposit counting process for counting the deposited banknotes 220, the back plate 206 is advanced to separate the banknotes 220 one by one while pressing the deposited banknotes 220 against the feed roller 210, and the banknotes 220 are conveyed to the banknote recognition unit 30. The banknote 220, which is identified as denominated and authentic, is temporarily stored in the temporary storage 40 (S210). If there is a deposit reject, the deposit reject banknote 220 is returned to the storage unit 208.

When the deposit counting process ends, the deposit amount is displayed on the customer operation unit 105 (S211). When there is confirmation from the user who approves the deposit amount (pressing the confirmation button), the center exchange is performed and the deposit amount is input to the ledger (S212). Next, in the deposit storage process, the banknote identification unit 30 again identifies the denomination information and the like for the banknote 220 of the temporary storage 40 and stores the banknote in either the deposit box 60 or the recycle box 80. , The depositing operation is terminated.

(S303)。   In the case of the withdrawal operation on the right side of FIG. 10, the user is instructed to input the withdrawal amount (S301), and the withdrawal transaction is permitted by center communication (S302). When the withdrawal is permitted, the banknote 220 fed out by a predetermined number from the predetermined bank A70, the bank B71 and the recycle box 80 for each denomination is denominated by the banknote identification unit 30, Are dispensed in the direction of the arrow 211b and accumulated in the storage unit 208 by the stack roller 212 (S303).

Next, the front side holding and conveying belt 213, the rear side holding and conveying belt 214, the front guide 225 and the rear guide 226 are advanced to hold the banknote 220 (S304). After the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are half-opened (S305), the lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed rises (S306), and the front and rear holding belts 213 and 214 are rotated to rotate the banknote 220. It is pushed up (S307). When the banknote 220 pops out from the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 and is raised to a predetermined height, the lifter 209 stops rising. Then, the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 are returned to the initial positions and retracted out of the storage unit 208. When the user pulls out the banknote 220 (S308), the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are completely closed (S309), and the dispensing operation ends.

If the user does not pick up the banknote 220 in S308, the customer sensor 230 shown in FIG. 1 confirms whether the user has left the front of the automatic teller machine 101 (S310) and has left. Next, it is confirmed whether or not a timeout has occurred after a predetermined time (S311). If the user has left or has timed out, it is determined that the user has forgotten to remove, and the forgotten collection process (S312) is performed in which the forgotten banknote 220 is forgotten and stored in the collection box 61.

FIG. 11 is a slight modification of the third embodiment of FIG. When the lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed starts to rise in the direction of the arrow 217a, the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear side holding and conveying belt 214 move in the directions of the arrow 215a and the arrow 216a to hold the banknote 220. Only the nipping and conveying belt 214 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 224b, and the front nipping and conveying belt 213 is idled without being driven. As a result of pushing up only the rear side of the banknote 220, the rear side of the banknote 220 becomes higher and a step is generated between the front and rear. Therefore, when the user receives the banknote 220, the number of the banknotes 220 can be easily confirmed. In this way, in order to easily drive the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 alone, as shown in FIG. 9A, the front holding and conveying belt 213, the rear holding and conveying belt 214, and the front guide 225 and the rear guide 226 are not arranged to face each other in a straight line, but are arranged so as to cross each other with a slight shift to the left and right.

12A and 12B, the configuration and operation of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 which is the main part of the fourth embodiment will be described. In Example 2 and Example 3, one set of the shutter and bill guide is attached to the front and rear, but in Example 4, only the front side is attached. FIG. 12A is a plan view of the storage unit 208 as viewed from above. The rear holding and conveying belt 214 is fixed at a position slightly protruding from the rear plate 206, and the rear plate 206 substitutes the rear guide. To do. An encoder 227 is attached to the front holding / conveying belt 213 to detect the amount of movement of the front holding / conveying belt 213 moving forward / backward.

FIG. 12B is a front view of the storage unit 208 and will be described in the depositing operation. The front holding and conveying belt 213 and the front guide 225 are retracted to the outside of the storage unit 208 as an initial state, the lifter 209 waits at the raised position, and the front shutter 203 is fully opened. When the user inserts the banknote 220 into the storage unit 208 and detects that it is placed on the upper part of the lifter 209, the front shutter 203 moves forward in the direction of the arrow 201a, closes to the half-open position, and stops. Next, the front side holding and conveying belt 213 and the front guide 225 move forward in the direction of the arrow 215c to lightly hold the banknote 220. The encoder 227 detects the amount of forward movement at this time, and confirms the number (thickness) of the inserted bills 220. If it is determined that the number of sheets is greater than the predetermined number (predetermined thickness), the nipping / conveying belt 213 and the front guide 225 are retracted, and the front shutter 203 is opened. Ask the user to reduce the number of inserts per transaction. If the number of inserted sheets (thickness) is within a predetermined number (predetermined thickness), the lifter 209 on which the banknote 220 is placed descends in the direction of the arrow 217b. In conjunction with the lowering of the lifter 209, only the rear holding and conveying belt 214 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 224a, and the front holding and conveying belt 213 is idled without being driven. When the bill 220 is drawn into the storage unit 208, the front shutter 203 comes into contact with the contact plate 227 and closes. This is because, when the size of the bill storage unit or temporary storage is taken into consideration, there is a risk that processing cannot be performed when the number is larger than the predetermined number.

In FIGS. 12A and 12B, the encoder 227 is attached to the front holding and conveying belt 213. However, even if the encoder 227 is attached to the front shutter 203, the number (thickness) of the inserted bills 220 is confirmed. can do. A torque limiter is attached to the motor that drives the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the front shutter 203, and when the banknote 220 starts to be pressed and the pressing force exceeds a predetermined value, the motor slips and cannot transmit the driving force. Even if the user accidentally puts his / her hand in the storage unit 208 and touches the front holding / conveying belt 213 or the front shutter 203, the user does not feel any pain and can easily spread it.

On the other hand, the dispensing operation in the fourth embodiment is the same as that in FIG. 9, and the dispensed banknote 220 is bent by the front holding and conveying belt 213 and the front guide 225, and the front shutter 203 is further advanced a little. By slightly bending the upper part of the popping banknote 220, a step is generated in the front and back, and when the user receives the banknote 220, it becomes easy to check the number of sheets.

The configuration and operation of the deposit / withdrawal port mechanism 20 provided with a stopper 501 instead of the lifter 209 will be described with reference to FIG. The stopper 501 supports the banknote 220 from below like the lifter 209, and is also called banknote support means. When the insertion of the banknote 220 is allowed, it is arranged at the banknote insertion position provided at the upper part of the storage means 208. In other cases, it can be retracted to the outside of the banknote storage space constituted by the storage section 208. Is.

When the user selects deposit (deposit) on the transaction screen of the customer operation unit 105, the control unit 35 of the banknote depositing / dispensing machine 1 instructs the depositing / dispensing port mechanism 20 to perform a depositing operation. Based on the instruction, the stopper 501 is moved in the direction of the arrow 502a and installed at the bill insertion position, and then the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are fully opened back and forth. When the user inserts the banknote 220 into the storage unit 208 and detects that the banknote 220 is placed on the stopper 501 by a detection means (not shown), the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are as shown in the first embodiment. An operation of closing the inserted banknote 220 in the direction of the arrows 201 a and 202 a is performed, and the operation is stopped at a half-open position where the banknote 220 is touched.

When the banknote 220 is drawn, the stopper 501 on which the banknote 220 is placed is moved in the direction of the arrow 502b to drop the banknote 220 downward. In addition, it is also possible to link this with the front side clamping conveyance belt 213 and the rear side clamping conveyance belt 214. In this case, as in the first embodiment, the front holding and conveying belt 213 rotates in the direction of the arrow 223a, and the rear holding and conveying belt 214 rotates in the direction of the arrow 224a according to the thickness of the banknote 220, and a spring (not shown). The banknote 220 is clamped by urging in the direction of the arrow 218a by means such as force. When the banknote 220 falls to the lower part of the storage unit 208, the front / rear shutters 203 and 204 are closed to completely close the deposit / withdrawal port 21.

Thus, even when the stopper 501 is provided, an automatic transaction apparatus having the same effect as that of the first embodiment can be provided by controlling the operations of the front / rear shutters 203 and 204.
