Description

The present invention relates to a board shield connector, and more particularly to a board shield connector suitably used for transmission of a high-frequency signal or the like.

Conventionally, what is shown in FIG. 6 is known as a board | substrate shield connector (refer patent document 1).

This conventional board shield connector 100 holds an inner conductor terminal 101 formed in a substantially L shape, an outer conductor terminal 102 covering the outer periphery of the inner conductor terminal 101, and an insulation state between both terminals 101, 102. A dielectric 103 and a connector housing 104 for housing them are provided.

The board shield connector 100 is assembled after the dielectric 103 having the inner conductor terminal 101 assembled therein is accommodated in the outer conductor terminal 102 that has been bent in advance until the folding step of the folding piece 105 is left. The folding piece 105 is folded to cover the opening 106 at the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 102, and the shield terminal 108 formed in this way is accommodated in the accommodating portion 107 of the connector housing 104.

However, with the outer conductor terminal 102 in the conventional board shield connector 100, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, even if the folding piece 105 of the outer conductor terminal 102 is folded to a predetermined position, There is a case where a gap is generated at the joint portion between the end and the folded piece 105.

Therefore, noise is radiated from the gap to the outside of the outer conductor terminal 102, and the board shield connector 100 becomes a noise source, or noise is incident and transmitted from the gap to the inside of the outer conductor terminal 102. There was a problem that a noise signal was mixed in the signal.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and the problem to be solved by the present invention is that radiation noise radiated from the outside of the outer conductor terminal to the outside, incident from the outside of the outer conductor terminal to the inside. An object of the present invention is to provide a board shield connector capable of reducing incident noise.

In order to solve the above problems, a board shield connector according to the present invention includes an inner conductor terminal formed in a substantially L shape, an outer conductor terminal covering the outer periphery of the inner conductor terminal, and an insulating state between the two terminals. A shield terminal having a dielectric body held in the connector housing is incorporated in a housing portion provided in the connector housing, and a part of the inner conductor terminal protruding from the printed circuit board assembly side of the connector housing is passed through the printed circuit board. In the shield connector for board that is inserted into the hole and electrical connection is made,
At the rear end of the outer conductor terminal, a folding piece that covers an opening formed on the rear surface of the outer conductor terminal is continuously provided, and further, a joint between the folded piece and the rear end of the outer conductor terminal is provided. The gist is that the portion is provided with a lid portion that overlaps the outer wall surface of the rear end of the outer conductor terminal.

According to the shield connector for a board according to the present invention, the folding piece covering the opening formed on the rear surface of the outer conductor terminal is continuously provided at the rear end of the outer conductor terminal. A lid that overlaps with the outer wall surface of the rear end of the outer conductor terminal is connected to the joint portion of the rear end of the outer conductor terminal with the lid portion. The gap formed at the joint portion with the cover is covered.

Therefore, radiation noise radiated from the inside of the outer conductor terminal to the outside can be reduced, and incident noise incident from the outside to the inside of the outer conductor terminal can also be reduced. Therefore, the shield connector for this board is unlikely to be a noise source. Further, since it is difficult for noise from the outside to be transmitted to the transmitted signal, it is excellent in reliability.

Hereinafter, the board shield connector according to the present embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In addition, let the connection direction with the other party connector (not shown) be the front.

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the board shield connector according to the present embodiment. The board shield connector 10 is used, for example, for transmitting a high-frequency signal. The board shield connector 10 includes an inner conductor terminal 11, a dielectric 12, an outer conductor terminal 13, and a connector housing 14. In the following, the one in which the inner conductor terminal 11, the dielectric 12, and the outer conductor terminal 13 are assembled together is referred to as a “shield terminal 15”.

The inner conductor terminal 11 is formed in a substantially L shape by a conductive member, and is connected to a mating connector to transfer an electric signal. The inner conductor terminal 11 is composed of a connecting tab 16 extending in the front-rear direction and a board assembly tab 17 extending in the up-down direction, and by connecting one end portions of both tabs 16, 17 at the connecting portion 18, The overall shape is substantially L-shaped. The front end of the connection tab 16 is connected to an inner conductor terminal provided on the mating connector. Further, the lower end of the board assembly tab 17 is inserted into a through hole provided in a printed board (not shown), and is electrically connected to a signal pattern on the printed board by solder or the like.

The dielectric 12 is formed of an insulating material, and is assembled between the inner conductor terminal 11 and the outer conductor terminal 13 so as to insulate the terminals 11 and 13 from each other. The dielectric 12 is formed to be equal to or slightly smaller than the inner diameter of a housing portion 19 (described later) provided on the outer conductor terminal 13. A through hole 20 penetrating in the front-rear direction is provided at the center of the dielectric 12, and the connecting tab 16 of the inner conductor terminal 11 is inserted into the through hole 20.

Further, an assembly groove 21 extending from the through hole 20 to the lower end is provided in the center of the rear surface of the dielectric 12. In this assembly groove 21, the board assembly tab 17 of the inner conductor terminal 11 is assembled. The front and rear and top and bottom lengths of the dielectric 12 are shorter than the connection tab 16 and the board assembly tab 17 of the inner conductor terminal 11, respectively. When the inner conductor terminal 11 is assembled to the dielectric 12, The tips of both tabs 16 and 17 of the inner conductor terminal 11 protrude from the dielectric 12. Further, a groove 22 that is continuous in the front-rear direction is formed in the center of the top surface of the dielectric 12, and an engaging protrusion 23 is provided in the vicinity of the center of the groove 22.

The outer conductor terminal 13 is for electromagnetically shielding while covering the periphery of the inner conductor terminal 11. The outer conductor terminal 13 is formed in a hollow shape by bending a conductive plate, and the dielectric 12 can be accommodated therein. Further, the outer conductor terminal 13 is formed in a substantially L-shaped side section, and a fitting portion 24 extending horizontally with respect to the printed circuit board surface, and from the rear portion of the fitting portion 24 to the printed circuit board surface. And a board assembly portion 25 extending vertically.

The outer conductor terminal of the mating connector is fitted into the opening at the tip of the fitting portion 24. In the vicinity of the opening of the fitting portion 24, an elastic contact portion 26 is provided so as to project inward from the upper and lower and left and right wall surfaces. This elastic contact portion 26 elastically contacts the outer wall surface of the outer conductor terminal of the mating connector. A stabilizer 27 is cut and raised above the side wall surface at the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 13. The stabilizer 27 is pushed into the guide groove 28 of the connector housing 14.

A dielectric assembly piece 29 is provided behind the upper wall surface of the outer conductor terminal 13. The dielectric assembly piece 29 protrudes inward and forward, and can be deformed by bending outward. The dielectric assembly piece 29 is provided in accordance with the position of the groove portion 22 of the dielectric body 12, and is engaged with the rear end edge of the engagement protrusion 23 of the dielectric body 12, thereby removing the dielectric body 12. Stop.

Further, a folding piece 31 is connected to the rear end upper portion of the outer conductor terminal 13. The folding piece 31 is for covering the opening 32 formed on the rear surface of the outer conductor terminal 13. The boundary between the rear upper end of the outer conductor terminal 13 and the folding piece 31 is provided with cuts 33 from both left and right edges, and a fold line 34 is provided at the boundary. The folding operation is performed smoothly.

Further, in the vicinity of the tip of the folding piece 31, an engagement piece 35 protrudes outward from the left and right edge portions. The engagement piece 35 is bent downward. A protrusion 36 is provided on the inner side of the engagement piece 35.

In addition, the lid portion 37 extends from a portion where the engagement piece 35 is not present in the left and right edge portions of the folding piece 31 in the joint portion of the folding piece 31 with the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 13. Projected outward. The lid portion 37 is bent downward.

Moreover, the board | substrate assembly part 25 continued to the rear end of the fitting part 24 is assembled | attached to a printed circuit board. That is, a pair of left and right board assembly tabs 38 protrudes downward from the lower end of the board assembly portion 25 toward the front and back, and the board assembly tabs 38 are fitted into the through holes of the printed circuit board. It is. In addition, the engagement holes 39 are opened on the left and right wall surfaces of the board assembly portion 17, and when the folding piece 31 is folded, the protrusion 36 of the folding piece 31 is engaged with the engagement hole 39. The folding piece 31 can be fixed.

The connector housing 14 is integrally formed of a synthetic resin in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, and a hood portion 40 capable of accommodating the mating connector is provided in front of the connector housing 14. In addition, a housing portion 41 that can house the shield terminal 15 is formed at the rear portion of the connector housing 14. The accommodating part 41 has substantially the same diameter and is open to the front and rear. The front part communicates with the inside of the hood part 40, and the rear part serves as a mounting opening 42 for starting the mounting of the shield terminal 15. A pair of left and right guide grooves 28 are formed in the upper end portion of the side wall of the accommodating portion 41, and the stabilizer 27 of the outer conductor terminal 13 is pushed into the guide grooves 28.

In addition, a pair of left and right mounting portions 43 are projected from a lower end portion slightly rearward of the central portion of the connector housing 14. At the center of the attachment portion 43, an attachment hole 44 penetrating vertically is provided. By inserting an assembly pin (not shown) into the mounting hole 44, the connector housing 14 is assembled to the printed circuit board.

Next, operations and effects of the board shield connector according to the present embodiment configured as described above will be described.

First, the process of assembling the shield terminal 15 by assembling the inner conductor terminal 11, the dielectric 12 and the outer conductor terminal 13 will be described with reference to FIGS. The entire inner conductor terminal 11 is pushed into the dielectric 12 while the tip of the connecting tab 16 of the inner conductor terminal 11 is inserted into the through hole 20 of the dielectric 12. When the board assembly tab 17 is pushed into the assembly groove 21 of the dielectric 12, the assembly of the inner conductor terminal 11 and the dielectric 12 is completed. On the other hand, the outer conductor terminal 13 is bent until the bending step of the folding piece 31 is left (see FIGS. 2A and 2B).

Next, the inner conductor terminal 11 and the dielectric 12 assembled together are accommodated in the accommodating portion 19 of the outer conductor terminal 13. When pushed into a predetermined position, the dielectric assembly piece 29 of the outer conductor terminal 13 engages with the engagement protrusion 23 of the dielectric 12, and the dielectric 12 is prevented from being pulled out by the accommodating portion 19 (FIG. 2 ( c)). Here, when the folding piece 31 is bent downward, the protrusion 36 of the engagement piece 35 fits into the engagement hole 39. The lid portion 37 overlaps the side wall surface at the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 13, and the joint portion between the side wall surface of the outer conductor terminal 13 and the folding piece 31 is covered. As a result, the opening 32 formed at the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 13 is covered with the folding piece 31, and the assembly of the shield terminal 15 is completed (see FIGS. 2C and 3).

Next, to attach the shield terminal 15 to the connector housing 14, the shield terminal 15 is pushed into the accommodating portion 41 of the connector housing 14. When the shield terminal 15 is press-fitted while aligning the position of the stabilizer 27 of the outer conductor terminal 13 with the position of the guide groove 28 of the connector housing 14, the stabilizer 27 is press-fitted into the guide groove 28 and the shield terminal 15 is prevented from being pulled out. . Thereby, the assembly of the shield terminal 15 and the connector housing 14 is completed, and the board shield connector 10 is completed.

The board shield connector 10 thus assembled is assembled at a predetermined location on the printed circuit board. The board assembly tab 38 extending from the lower end of the board shield connector 10 is pushed in according to the position of the through hole of the printed board. Next, the assembly pins are inserted while matching the mounting holes 44 of the mounting portions 43 projecting on both sides of the connector housing 14 with the pin holes of the printed circuit board. Thus, the board shield connector 10 is assembled to the printed board.

According to the board shield connector 10, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the gap between the side wall surface of the outer conductor terminal 13 and the folding piece 31 is covered by the lid portion 37 of the folding piece 31. Therefore, radiation noise radiated from the inside of the outer conductor terminal 13 to the outside can be reduced. In addition, incident noise incident on the outer conductor terminal 13 from the outside to the inside can also be reduced. Therefore, the board shield connector 10 is unlikely to be a noise source. Further, since it is difficult for noise from the outside to be transmitted to the transmitted signal, it is excellent in reliability.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, as shown in FIG. 5, a folding piece 51 is continuously provided on the left (right) side of the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 50, and a joint portion of the folding piece 51 with the rear end of the outer conductor terminal 50. That is, the lid 52 may be provided on the right (left) edge and the upper edge of the folding piece 51. Moreover, although the thing of the cross-sectional square shape was shown as a shape of the fitting part 24, a cross-sectional shape may be sufficient as a fitting part.
