Abstract
Description
【0001】

なお、<起動方法>としては、例えばメッセージ交換のプロトコルであるSOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol)、SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)等を用いることができる。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program, and more particularly to an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program suitable for use in a document processing network system for sharing paper documents and electronic information.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a multifunction peripheral in which a facsimile, a scanner, and a printer function are integrated in a copier has been proposed. As a result, paper-based business processing using a copying machine, a facsimile, or the like, and processing of an electronic document on a personal computer can be linked. For example, a paper document can be scanned and transferred to a personal computer, or a document received by facsimile can be transmitted to a personal computer as image data without printing.
[0003]
After paper documents and facsimile received documents are digitized, job procedures that describe desired settings for items to be set in MFPs have been prepared in advance so that many procedures and processes can be linked and automated. A technique has been proposed in which a job template is designated, setting values are changed as necessary, and then processing is performed.
[0004]
For example, a conventional image forming apparatus can store a plurality of output setting data for setting an output format, form an image in an output format in accordance with the selected output setting data, and output the image (for example, see Patent Document 1). Also, an image reading system that has at least one image reading device and transfers a read image from the image reading device to another device has been proposed (for example, see Patent Document 2).
[0005]
In such an image reading system, the image reading device can read an image in accordance with the reading conditions described in the job template, and transmit the read image file to another device.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In general, the processing that can be performed by a multifunction peripheral has a fixed item and behavior, and thus has poor expandability. For example, in order to digitize a document in a multifunction peripheral, processing is performed under certain conditions set in the multifunction peripheral, and transmission of a digitized document is also set in the multifunction peripheral. Processed under certain conditions. For this reason, it has been difficult to add a process that is difficult to be executed by the multifunction peripheral or to request a process by another device.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above facts, and provides an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program that can flexibly perform various types of processing without being limited to the apparatus configuration and processing contents. Aim.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes an image processing apparatus included in a service processing system that performs a service for performing predetermined processing on document data in cooperation with a network. A transmission means for transmitting request information representing the request is provided.
[0010]
An image processing apparatus according to the present invention is provided in an image processing apparatus included in a service processing system that performs a service for performing predetermined processing on document data in cooperation with a network. Here, the document data may be information relating to the document, and is not particularly limited to character information such as text data, image information obtained by reading a paper document, and the like.
[0011]
The transmitting means transmits request information indicating a service execution request externally. The request information indicates an external service execution request, and is for requesting that the service that is difficult to be executed by the image processing apparatus be externally performed. That is, the image processing apparatus can execute a predetermined service, but cannot process a service other than the predetermined service. Therefore, request information representing a service execution request outside is transmitted. Thus, outside the image processing apparatus, it is possible to grasp that a request for a service that is difficult to execute in the image processing apparatus has been made, and to request or perform execution of the corresponding service. .
[0012]
The transmission unit is configured to provide processing information representing a series of processing and item information defining the execution content of each processing in order to link a service for performing predetermined processing on document data on a network. The request information is included in the certificate and the instruction is transmitted.
[0013]
Although the request information can be transmitted as it is, the service processing system sometimes distributes an instruction book in order to cooperate on a network with a service for performing predetermined processing on document data. . The instruction sheet may be one in which process information indicating a series of processes and item information that defines the execution content of each process are described. By including the request information in this instruction, a request for a service that is difficult to execute in the image processing apparatus is made by referring to the distributed instruction outside the image processing apparatus by the normally distributed instruction. It is possible to grasp the fact and to request or execute the execution of the corresponding service.
[0014]
The transmission unit is configured to provide processing information representing a series of processing and item information defining the execution content of each processing in order to link a service for performing predetermined processing on document data on a network. The request information is transmitted to an external service to be transmitted included in the request.
[0015]
In some cases, the instruction sheet describes a hardware resource or a software resource for executing the service in order to link the service on the network. Therefore, by transmitting the request information to the external service to be transmitted, which is included in the instruction, it is possible to reliably and optimally request a service that is difficult to execute by the image processing apparatus.
[0016]
A storage unit for storing the request information is further provided, and the transmission unit transmits the request information stored in the storage unit.
[0017]
The request information to be transmitted to the outside is often a fixed form such as a predetermined command or data. This is because commonality is preferable in order to link services on a network. Therefore, if the request information is stored in the storage means and the transmission means transmits the request information stored in the storage means, the request can be easily executed when a service which is difficult to execute in the image processing apparatus occurs. it can.
[0018]
A storage unit that stores the request information, wherein the transmission unit performs processing information representing a series of processes and a content of execution of each process in order to link a service for performing predetermined processing on document data on a network. The request information stored in the storage means is transmitted to an external service to be transmitted, which is included in the instruction information in which the item information defining the above is described.
[0019]
Further, as described above, in some cases, the instruction sheet includes a description indicating hardware resources or software resources for executing the service in order to link the service on the network. Therefore, by transmitting the request information to the external service to be transmitted, which is included in the instruction, it is possible to reliably and optimally request a service that is difficult to execute by the image processing apparatus.
[0020]
The storage unit stores a plurality of request information, and the transmission unit transmits request information selected from the plurality of request information.
[0021]
When there are a plurality of services that are difficult to execute in the image processing apparatus, or when the services can be performed by any of the plurality of services, it is preferable to select from the plurality of services. Therefore, if a plurality of pieces of request information are stored in the storage means and the transmission means transmits request information selected from the plurality of pieces of request information, an appropriate service desired by the user or desired by the image processing apparatus can be obtained. Can be requested.
[0022]
An input unit for inputting data is further provided, and the transmission unit includes the request information including the data input by the input unit.
[0023]
When selecting from multiple items, it is preferable to reflect the user's desire. Therefore, the transmission means transmits the data input by the input means in the request information. Thereby, the request information reflecting the user's wish can be transmitted.
[0024]
A data storage unit for storing data input by the input unit;
[0025]
The data input by the user's request is highly likely to be input again at the next input. Therefore, the data input by the input means is stored in the data storage means, so that the data can be reused.
[0026]
When a service included in an instruction is executed by an image processing apparatus, the instruction may include a service that is difficult to perform by the image processing apparatus. In this case, the next image processing apparatus can appropriately transmit the request information to the outside. In detail, in order to link a service for performing predetermined processing on document data on a network, a processing instruction describing a series of processing and item information defining execution contents of each processing are described. Receiving means, an interpreting means for interpreting the processing information and item information described in the instruction received by the receiving means, and a process executed by the item information described in the instruction interpreted by the interpreting means. There is provided a specifying means for specifying that the service is an external service, and a transmitting means for transmitting request information indicating an execution request for the external service specified by the specifying means.
[0027]
That is, the interpreting means interprets the processing information and the item information described in the instruction received by the receiving means, and specifies that the process executed by the item information described in the interpreted instruction is an external service. And transmitting request information indicating an execution request for the external service specified by the transmitting unit.
