本発明は、定型用紙・帳票等の作成方法と任意領域に対する割当て実行用および補正用アプリケーションプログラムに関し、特に任意の領域に特定機能を割り当て、これを実行する方法とそのプログラムおよびそれに用いるプリンタシステムと印刷装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
白紙に記入された文字、記号、映像などを読み込むための従来の方法では、定型用紙の各領域の位置情報を取得することができないため、スキャナにより定型用紙をコンピュータ上に取り込んだ後、任意の領域を切り出す必要があった。
その後、切り出したイメージに対して特定の機能を割り当てる、という手順を踏む必要があり、二度手間が発生していた。また、スキャナなどの設置スペースを要するイメージ取り込み装置が必要であった。

例えば、デジタルペン応用ソリューション技術(スェーデンのアノト社と日立製作所の共同開発)(非特許文献1,2参照)がある。これは、デジタルカメラを内蔵した専用のボールペンを用いて、細かなドットが印刷された特殊な用紙に文字や絵を書き込み、紙上のチェックマークにチェックを入れると、書き込まれた文字などのデータがパソコンや携帯電話に転送され、その内容を保存したり、メールで送信できる、というものである。この技術のポイントは、用紙に0.3mm間隔の小さなドットが印刷されており、これが1.8mm平方のグリッド毎に全て異なるパターンを描いている。これにより、用紙上に書き込んだ点のパターンを検知して、それが全体から見てどこになるのかを特定することが可能になる。

一方、従来の方法で、プリンタにより、デジタルペン用の表面・裏面で異なる位置情報が記録されている位置情報用紙の特定の位置に特定の意味または属性を設定した領域を有するような帳票に印刷する場合、給紙装置への用紙のセット中に、基点から用紙がずれたり、傾いたりするために、指定した特定の位置へ印刷するとき誤差が生じてしまう。そのため、デジタルペンで読み込んだ座標がずれてしまい、座標位置を判定して動作するアプリケーションで正常に処理できない場合が発生する。また、給紙装置に用紙の配置方向が間違った状態でセットされたり、位置情報用紙の裏表面を間違えてセットして、印刷を実行してしまうと、一度印刷してから用紙方法、表裏面の間違いなどに気がつくため、再度行うことになり、用紙を無駄にすることがあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように、従来の用紙に対する機能割り当て技術では、定型用紙自体に特定の機能を意味する情報を埋め込む必要があり、情報を埋め込む特殊装置がなければ、定型用紙自体に特定の機能を割り当てることができなかった。
また、従来のプリンタ技術では、用紙をセットする場合に、基点から用紙がずれたり、傾いたり、用紙の方向が誤っていたり、用紙の裏表面を誤ったりしたときには、一度印刷した後に、再度やり直す必要があり、用紙を無駄にすることがあった。

(目的)
本発明の目的は、これら従来の課題を解決し、スキャナを設けたり、人間の手間をかけなくても、多彩な機能を持った定型用紙を容易に作成することができ、また、定型用紙自体に特定の機能が割り当てられていなくても、アプリケーション側で任意の領域に対して多彩な機能を割り当てて実行することができる定型用紙を容易に作成することが可能な任意領域に対する機能割当実行方法とそのプログラムおよびそれに用いるプリンタシステムと印刷装置を提供することにある。
また、本発明の他の目的は、上記の用紙の傾きや印刷位置ずれ、用紙方向の違いや用紙表裏面の違いがあっても、それらを補正して、ずれなく特定の位置に特定の情報を印刷することができるプリンタシステムと印刷装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の任意領域に対する機能割当実行方法は、位置情報記録媒体を任意の領域に分割し、該分割された任意領域に対して、特定の機能をアプリケーションプログラムまたはシステム上で割り当て、該分割した任意領域内に書き込まれたデータおよび位置情報を位置情報取得装置により取得し、取得した位置情報を元に該アプリケーションプログラムまたはシステム上で領域内のデータに対して割り当てた特定機能を実行することを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を、図面により詳細に説明する。
(定型用紙作成)
図1は、本発明の実施形態を示す任意領域に対する機能割当実行方法の機能の流れ図である。
本発明においては、各種の帳票用紙やアンケート用紙や回答用紙などの定型用紙のイメージをコンピュータ11に取り込み、任意の領域に割り振られている機能を実行する方法を実現する。すなわち、位置情報を保持している位置情報記録媒体21(シート、紙、ビニール、鉄、木、プラスチック)に対して、任意の領域を分割する。12は、アプリケーション10上で任意領域に分割された用紙である。位置情報記録媒体21としては、例えばデジタルペン専用ノートがある。

次に、分割された任意の領域に相当する位置に、特定の機能をコンピュータ上で1つまたは複数個割り当てる。13は、領域別機能設定ダイアログ上での機能設定方法である。すなわち、OCRにかけて文字認識するか、アプリケーションと連携するか、筆跡照合をするか、暗号化するか、計算するか、データベース関連付けするか、データを消去するか、通信をするか、を領域ごとに割り当てる。その場合、1領域1つの機能を割り当ててもよいし、1領域2以上の機能を割り当てることもできる。さらに、詳細の設定を行う。14は、詳細設定のアプリケーションである。

図2においては、設定ダイアログ41のチェック欄に対応して、OCR、アプリケーション連携、筆跡照合、暗号化、計算、データベース関連付け、データ消去、通信、等の各機能が示され、OKとキャンセルのボタンが設けられる。各領域ごとに、チェック欄にチェックをした後にOKボタンを押下することにより、その領域に対してチェックを付した機能が実行される。図2の場合には、その領域に対してOCRにより文字認識を行い、次に筆跡照合処理を行う。

図3においては、設定ダイアログ42のチェック欄は自動実行と機能実行順序指定の2つがある。そして、自動実行と機能実行順序指定の一方のみを指定してもよく、また2つとも指定してもよい。機能と順序の指定は、領域を 〜 で指定し、上から下への記載順序で実行順序を指定する。図3の場合には、先ず領域1に対してOCRを実行し、次に領域1の筆跡照合を行う。次に、領域2に対してOCRを実行し、領域4に対して暗号化を実行する。次に、領域5、領域6、領域7に対してOCRを実行し、領域9に対して計算を行い、領域10に対してデータ消去する。ここで、一時中断した後、領域11に対して通信を実行する。

図4は、本発明の応用例を示すミニテストの定型用紙作成方法の説明図である。
本発明においては、各種帳票用紙やアンケート用紙や回答用紙などの定型用紙を作成する場合、効率的に作成することができる。
例えば、図4に示すように、位置情報記録媒体で作成された答案用紙に対し、アプリケーション側で各回答欄に相当する位置に対して事前に採点機能を割り当てておき、位置情報取得装置で回答欄に回答を書き込むことにより、アプリケーション側で自動的に回答欄内の採点を行うことができる。

なお、定型用紙作成方法で使用される用語の定義を行うと、『アプリケーション』は、位置情報記録媒体に印刷するための分割領域を作成し、各領域に対して特定の機能を割り当てるアプリケーションプログラムであって、位置情報取得装置からデータと位置情報を取得すると、取得した位置情報とアプリケーション上で分割した領域位置とのマッピングを行い、各領域に割り当てた特定機能を実行する。
また、『位置情報記録媒体』は、位置情報を保持している媒体であって、この媒体には特殊なパターンが埋め込まれている。例えば、アノト社製のデジタル専用ノートがこれに該当する。

(プリンタおよび補正用アプリケーション)
図1に示すプリンタ20は、位置情報が記録されている用紙に、用紙の傾き、印刷位置ずれ、用紙方向の間違い、用紙表裏面の間違いがあっても、それらを補完して、ずれなく特定の位置に特定の情報を印刷することができる装置である。
本発明のプリンタは、用紙に印刷されている位置情報を取得する装置で、位置情報が記載されている用紙の座標を取得し、位置情報用紙に位置ずれや傾きを自動的に補正して印刷する。その際に、デジタルペンで取得した座標情報を正常に読み込み、座標位置を判定して処理するアプリケーションにより正しく処理する。

1)用紙に印刷されている位置情報を取得する装置で、位置情報が記載されている用紙の座標を取得し、その座標より給紙装置上でその用紙がどの方向にセットされているか否かを判断できるため、特定の用紙方向である印刷したい方向に正しくセットされていなくても、印刷装置またはアプリケーション側で用紙方向に印刷情報を合わせて印刷することができる。その結果、用紙方向の設定ミスによる印刷ミスを減少させることができる。
