Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radio terminal which allows operating the key without the user turning the eyes off from the display when opened to use, and avoids damaging the screen of the display when folded. <P>SOLUTION: The main body 1 of the portable radio terminal comprises a first case 10 having a plurality of operation keys 11 on the surface, and a second case 20 having a display 21 on the surface. Both cases 10, 20 are disposed so that the backside of the second case 20 faces the surface of the first case 10 and mutually coupled relatively movably through a link mechanism 30. 本発明は、2つの筐体を互いに重ねて構成される携帯型無線端末機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、2つの筐体を重ね合わせると共に互いに摺動可能に係合させて構成されるスライド式の携帯電話機が提案されている(例えば特許文献1〜4参照)。
例えば、図12及び図13に示すスライド式携帯電話機は、それぞれ扁平な第1筐体(80)と第2筐体(90)を互いに重ね合わせて摺動可能に係合させたものであって、図12に示す伸張状態と図13に示す収納状態の間で第2筐体(90)を摺動させることが可能である。
図12に示す如く、第1筐体(80)の表面には、複数の操作キー(81)が配列されると共に、下端部に送話部(82)が設けられており、第2筐体(90)の表面には、中央部にディスプレイ(91)が配備されると共に、その下方には確定キーを含む複数の操作キー(93)が配列され、上端部には受話部(92)が設けられている。

上記スライド式携帯電話機においては、図13に示す収納状態で第1筐体(80)の表面にディスプレイ(91)の画面が露出しているので、該ディスプレイ(91)によって、着信待受け時の表示、着信時の表示、着信メールの表示などが可能である。
又、図13に示す収納状態から第2筐体(80)を上方に引き上げることによって、第2筐体(90)は第1筐体(80)に対して摺動し、図12に示す伸張状態が設定される。該伸張状態では、第1筐体(80)の全ての操作キー(81)が露出するので、該操作キー(81)を操作することによって、電話番号の入力、送信メール文章の入力などが可能となる。

このように、スライド式の携帯電話機によれば、折り畳み式携帯電話機と同様に、一方の筐体に操作キーを配備すると共に、他方の筐体にディスプレイを配置することが出来るので、これによってディスプレイの大型化を図ることが出来る。
然も、スライド式携帯電話機においては、一方の筐体(80)に対して他方の筐体(90)を摺動させるだけでキー操作面を露出させることが出来るので、折り畳み式携帯電話機における開き操作よりも操作性が良好である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、図12に示す従来のスライド式携帯電話機においては、構造上、伸張状態にて第1筐体(80)の操作キー(81)と第2筐体(90)のディスプレイ(91)との間に一定の距離が生じることとなるので、例えば送信メールを作成する場合、使用者の視線はディスプレイ(91)と操作キー(81)の間を何度も往復することとなり、使用者がディスプレイ(91)を見ながらキー操作を行なうことに疲労感を感じる問題がある。
又、ディスプレイ(91)は、伸張状態のみならず収納状態においても露出しているので、例えば第2筐体(90)を収納している着信待受け時などの携帯時に該携帯電話機を床面に落とした場合、ディスプレイ(91)の画面が損傷を受ける虞があった。

そこで本発明の目的は、伸張状態でディスプレイから視線を大きく移動させることなくキー操作を行なうことが出来ると共に、収納状態でディスプレイの画面が損傷を受けることのない携帯型無線端末機を提供することである。

【課題を解決する為の手段】
本発明に係る携帯型無線端末機においては、携帯可能な本体(1)に、複数の操作キー(11)とディスプレイ(21)を配備して構成される。
前記本体(1)は、表面に前記複数の操作キー(11)が配備された第1筐体(10)と、表面に前記ディスプレイ(21)が配備された第2筐体(20)とを具え、両筐体(10)(20)は、第2筐体(20)の表面に第1筐体(10)の裏面を対向させて配置されると共に、リンク機構(30)によって互いに相対移動可能に連結され、両筐体(10)(20)が最も小さな対向面積で重なった伸張状態と、両筐体(10)(20)が最も大きな対向面積で重なった収納状態との間で、伸縮動作が可能であり、伸張状態では、第2筐体(20)のディスプレイ(21)の全体が露出すると共に、該ディスプレイ(21)と第1筐体(10)の操作キー(11)とが互いに接近した位置関係に並び、収納状態では、第2筐体(20)のディスプレイ(21)の大部分若しくは全体が第1筐体(10)によって覆われる。

上記本発明の携帯型無線端末機において、ディスプレイ(21)全体を露出させてキー操作を行なう場合、リンク機構(30)の動作によって、第2筐体(20)を第1筐体(10)に対して伸張状態まで相対移動させることにより、ディスプレイ(21)と操作キー(10)は互いに接近した位置で並ぶこととなる。
従って、使用者は、ディスプレイ(21)から視線を大きく移動させることなくキー操作を行なうことが出来る。

従って、第2筐体(20)が収納状態にあるとき、ディスプレイ(21)は、少なくとも第1筐体(10)によって覆われた領域に損傷を受けることはない。

第1実施例
以下、本発明を携帯電話機に実施した形態につき、図面に沿って具体的に説明する。
図1の如く、本発明に係る携帯電話機の本体(1)は、扁平な第2筐体(20)に扁平な第1筐体(10)を重ねて構成されており、第1筐体(10)の表面には、テンキーを含む複数の操作キー(11)が配列されると共に、下端部には送話部(12)が設けられている。第2筐体(20)の表面には、中央部にディスプレイ(21)が配備されると共に、上端部には受話部(22)が設けられている。
又、図3に示す如く、第1筐体(10)の上端部の両側には、後述の一対のリンク部材(30a)(30a)を取り付けるための一対の第1切欠き部(13)(13)が形成され、第2筐体(20)の中央部の両側には一対のリンク部材(30a)(30a)を取り付けるための第2切欠き部(23)(23)が形成されている。
更に第1筐体(10)の裏面及び第2筐体(20)のディスプレイ(21)の下方には、後述のリンク部材(30b)を収納するための第1収容室(14)及び第2収容室(24)がそれぞれ凹設されている。
