<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program viewing reservation system which can appropriately and efficiently view, listen and record a broadcasting program reserved for viewing. <P>SOLUTION: A reservation input receiving part 12 receives input of viewing and listening program reservation information, and a viewing notifying part 14 notifies to a user that broadcasting start of the program is drawing near. A viewing discriminating part 15 discriminates whether the program can be viewed based on response of the user; if the user does not view the program, a recording indication originating part 16 transmits recording indication. 本発明は、放送番組を受信可能な受信端末に当該放送番組の視聴予約を行なうための番組視聴予約システム、番組視聴予約方法、番組視聴予約プログラム及びそれを記録した記録媒体に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のテレビジョン放送番組の視聴予約に関する技術としては、番組に対する所定の状態を検出すると共にセンサ等によって視聴者の存在の検出を行ない、視聴者の存在が検出されなかった場合には視聴者が番組を見逃したものとの判定を行なう放送受信装置があった。この放送受信装置は、番組を受信データとして蓄積する機能を備えており、番組の見逃しが判定された場合には蓄積された受信データが読み出されることになっていた（例えば、特許文献１参照。）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来技術ではセンサ等による視聴者の存否に基づいて番組の見逃しを判定していたため、例えば視聴者が受信装置近傍に居ながらも他の用事等を行なっており、見逃し判定されることなく番組を見逃してしまうという状況に対処することができなかった。

また、上記従来技術では見逃し判定の有無に関わらず番組の受信データを蓄積していたため、特に多数の視聴予約番組が存在する場合等には膨大なデータ容量が必要となり、データ容量不足によって視聴者が見逃した番組を記録できないケースも生じていた。

本発明は上記課題に鑑みてなされたものであり、視聴予約された放送番組を適切かつ効率的に視聴又は記録することが可能な番組視聴予約システム、番組視聴予約方法、番組視聴予約プログラム及びそれを記録した記録媒体を提供することを目的とする。

本発明に係る番組視聴予約システムは、放送番組を受信可能な受信端末に当該放送番組の視聴予約を行なうための番組視聴予約システムであって、少なくとも前記放送番組の放送開始時刻を含む視聴番組予約情報の入力を受け付ける予約入力受付手段と、前記放送開始時刻又はそれ以前に前記放送番組の開始が迫ったことを前記受信端末のユーザに対して通知する視聴通知手段と、前記通知を受けた前記ユーザによって応答された前記放送番組を視聴するか否かを示す視聴確認情報を受け付ける視聴判断手段と、前記ユーザが前記放送番組を視聴しないことを示す視聴確認情報を前記視聴判断手段が受け付けた場合、当該放送番組を記録させる指示を発信する記録指示発信手段とを備えることを特徴とする。

以下、添付図面を参照しながら、本発明に係る番組視聴予約システム、番組視聴予約方法、番組視聴予約プログラム及びそれを記録した記録媒体の実施形態について説明する。なお、本実施形態では、ユーザが視聴予約を行なう番組はテレビジョン放送番組であるとし、受信端末として携帯電話端末、記録用端末として受信端末とは異なる録画端末が用いられる場合を例に挙げて説明する。

まず、本実施形態に係る番組視聴予約システムの構成について説明する。図１は、本実施形態に係る番組視聴予約システム１の構成及び外部要素との接続関係を示すブロック図である。この番組視聴予約システム１は、携帯電話端末２に内包された構成を採っており、送受信インターフェース１１と、予約入力受付部１２と、予約情報格納部１３と、視聴通知部１４と、視聴判断部１５と、記録指示発信部１６とを備えて構成される。

また、本実施形態に係る番組視聴予約プログラムは、携帯電話端末２に内蔵されたコンピュータシステムが読み取り可能なプログラムである。図２に示すように、この番組視聴予約プログラム４は、ＣＤ−ＲＯＭ等の記録媒体５のプログラム領域５１に記録されており、処理を総括するメインモジュール４０と、各種情報の送受信をつかさどる送受信インターフェースモジュール４１と、入力された視聴番組予約情報を受け付ける予約入力受付モジュール４２と、視聴予約番組の開始時刻が迫ったことを通知する視聴通知モジュール４３と、ユーザの応答に基づき視聴の可否を判断する視聴判断モジュール４４と、番組の録画指示を発信する記録指示発信モジュール４５とを備えて構成される。また、記録媒体５のデータ領域５２には、視聴番組予約情報を格納する予約情報データベース５２１が記録されている。この番組視聴予約プログラム４を読み込ませることにより、携帯電話端末２に内蔵されたコンピュータシステムに上記番組視聴予約システム１と同様の機能を果たさせることが可能になっている。すなわち、携帯電話端末２に内蔵されたコンピュータシステムに含まれるプロセッサ等が上記送受信インターフェース１１、予約入力受付部１２、視聴通知部１４、視聴判断部１５及び記録指示発信部１６の役割を果たし、メモリ等が上記予約情報格納部１３の役割を果たすことになる。

次に、図３に示すチャート図を参照しながら、本実施形態に係る番組視聴予約システムの動作（本実施形態に係る番組視聴予約方法）について説明する。

まずユーザは、入力部２２を用いて視聴したいテレビジョン放送番組の予約情報（視聴番組予約情報）を入力する（ステップＳ１）。具体的には、放送チャンネル、開始時刻、終了時刻、番組名等の当該番組を特定するための情報を入力する。こうして入力された視聴番組予約情報は、送受信インターフェース１１を通じて入力受付部１２により受け付けられ、例えば図４に示すようなテーブルデータとして予約情報格納部１３に格納される。

この通知を受けたユーザは、入力部２２を用いて当該番組を視聴するかどうかの応答を行なう。例えばユーザが当該番組を視聴する場合には、図５に示すような画面表示上で「はい」項目にカーソルを合わせて入力ボタンを押すと、送受信インターフェース１１を通じてこの応答（視聴確認情報）を受け付けた視聴判断部１５では、ユーザが当該番組を視聴可能であると判断される（ステップＳ４）。そして、視聴判断部１５から送受信インターフェース１１を通じて番組受信部２３に対して当該番組の受信指示が送信され、これを受けた番組受信部２３では当該番組を受信して表示部２１上に表示させる（ステップＳ５）。これにより、ユーザは表示部２１上で当該番組を視聴することができる。

一方、ユーザが当該番組を視聴しない場合には、図５に示すような画面表示上で「いいえ」項目にカーソルを合わせて入力ボタンを押すと、送受信インターフェース１１を通じてこの応答（視聴確認情報）を受け付けた視聴判断部１５では、ユーザが当該番組を視聴不能であると判断される（ステップＳ４）。また、何らかの事情によりユーザが通知に応答できない場合には、通知から所定時間（例えば１分）を経た後に視聴判断部１５ではユーザが当該番組を視聴不能であると判断される（ステップＳ４）。そして、視聴判断部１５から記録指示発信部１６に対して当該番組の記録を示す情報が送信され、記録指示発信部１６では予約情報格納部１３に格納された当該番組の情報が読み出されて録画指示が発信される（ステップＳ６）。

以上、単一の放送番組の視聴予約動作について説明したが、視聴予約したい番組が複数ある場合にはそれら各番組について同様の動作が繰り返される。すなわち、入力された複数の番組に関する視聴番組予約情報が予約情報格納部１３に格納され、視聴通知部１４では各番組について開始時刻が迫っていることを示す通知が行なわれ、視聴判断部１５では視聴確認情報に基づき各番組について視聴可否が判断されることになる。

なお、本発明に係る番組視聴予約システム、番組視聴予約方法、番組視聴予約プログラム及びそれを記録した記録媒体は、上記記載の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、様々な変形態様を採ることが可能である。例えば、上記実施形態では、ユーザが視聴予約を行なう番組はテレビジョン放送番組であるとしたが、ラジオ放送番組やデジタル放送番組等のその他各種放送番組であってもよい。

本発明に係る番組視聴予約システム、番組視聴予約方法及び番組視聴予約プログラムによれば、ユーザが受信端末近傍に居ながらも他の用事等により視聴できない場合であっても、ユーザが視聴不可を表わす情報を応答することにより予約していた放送番組を記録することが可能になる。また、視聴できなかった放送番組のみを記録することにより不要なデータ容量を節約することができるため、データ容量不足によって視聴者が見逃した番組を記録できないというケースを減らすことが可能になる。
