Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a network printer system, a program, and a recording medium. More specifically, in a network printer system that connects a host device (a personal computer, a workstation, etc.) and a printer via a network, a user issues a print start instruction. The present invention relates to a network printer system that shortens the time from when a print is created.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A network printer system in which a printer and a host device are connected by a network creates a print image, sends a control command and a print image to the printer, a host device, and prints the print image received from the host device using the control command. It has a printer.
A printer connected to a network is used by a large number of people due to its nature. However, as the number of users increases, the responsiveness of the printer becomes poor.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As a technique for minimizing the time required from when a user gives a print instruction to when printing is completed, there is a "printer system" in JP-A-2000-250732.
When the host device starts an input operation for setting print conditions for data to be sent to the printer on the host device side (for example, when a print condition setting input screen is opened), the printer device informs the printer side of it. Is shifted from the warm-up mode to the standby mode, the standby state is set, and the time required from when an input operation for performing printing is performed by the user to when the printer starts printing is shortened.
However, the above-described conventional technique has no effect on a printer in which the power save mode is already released and which is in a standby state.
[0004]
