Description

【0001】
本発明は、PDC(Personal Digital Cellular)、CDMA(Code DivisionMultiple Access)、GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication)やPHS(Personal Handy−phone System)等の通信手段を用いた携帯無線機に関するものである。
【0002】
近年、データの高速伝送が可能なPDC(Personal Digital Cellular)、CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)、GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication)やPHS(Personal Handy−phone System)等の通信手段を用いた携帯無線機が広く用いられ、さらに、次世代の技術として開発されているWCDMA(Wide band CDMA)、CDMA2000等の通信手段を用いたものが開発されつつある。
【0003】
【0024】

Figure 2004032352
【0025】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mobile communication system using a PDC (Personal Digital Cellular), a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication), or a PHS (Personal Handy-phone).
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, PDCs (Personal Digital Cellular), CDMAs (Code Division Multiple Access), GSMs (Global System for Mobile Communication), and PHSs (Personal Mobile Communication-based mobile communication systems) have been available. Devices are widely used, and devices using communication means such as WCDMA (Wide band CDMA) and CDMA2000, which are being developed as next-generation technologies, are being developed.
[0003]
Further, a portable wireless device of this type is known which has a folding mechanism in order to enhance portability.
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 7, as an example of a conventional foldable portable wireless device, the angle between the opposing surfaces 21 a and 22 a of the first housing 21 and the second housing 22 via the hinge portion 23 is set. A key operation unit 25 and a microphone unit 24 are provided on a surface 21a of the first housing 21 facing the second housing 22 so as to be variably connected between approximately 0 degrees and 180 degrees. A display unit 26 and a speaker unit 27 are provided on the side of the second housing 22 facing the first housing 21, and an antenna is provided at an end of the first housing 21 or the second housing 22. (Not shown) is known.
[0005]
However, the foldable portable wireless device 20 shown in FIG. 7 has a problem that the speaker unit 27 and the microphone unit 24 are hidden in the folded and closed state, and a call cannot be made as it is. Therefore, when an incoming call is received in a folded state, it takes time and effort to open the first housing 21 or the second housing 22 and then perform an off-hook operation in order to make a call. Also, if it takes time to open the first housing 21 or the second housing 22 after receiving an incoming call, there is a possibility that the telephone may be disconnected.
[0006]
Further, when folded, the speaker unit 27 and the microphone unit 24 come close to each other, which causes a problem of howling.
[0007]
To solve such a problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H11-187098 discloses a second microphone 22 provided on an outer surface 22b of the second housing 22 opposite to the facing surface 22a, as shown in FIG. There has been proposed a configuration in which a unit 28 and a second speaker unit 29 are provided, and an on-hook operation unit 30 and an off-hook operation unit 31 are provided on one of the side surfaces of the housing.
[0008]
According to this technique, when an incoming call is received at the time of folding, by pressing the off-hook operation unit 31, the second speaker unit 29 is opened without opening the first housing 21 and the second housing 22. And the second microphone unit 28 can operate as a transmitting unit to perform a telephone call, so that there is an advantage that the time required to shift to a telephone call can be shortened and the operation time can be reduced. Was.
[0009]
On the other hand, the portable wireless device 20 in which the angle between the opposing surfaces 21a and 22a is variably connected cannot see the display unit 26 in a folded state, and in this case, the first housing 21 or the second Since the operation of opening the housing 22 is required and the operation is troublesome, a portable wireless device 40 as shown in FIGS. 9A and 9B has also been proposed.
[0010]
The portable wireless device 40 includes a first housing 41 and a second housing 42 that are arranged to face each other and are rotatable around hinges 49 about axes perpendicular to each other. A key operation unit 45 and one microphone unit 44 on the side of the first housing 41 facing the second housing 42, opposite to the first housing 41 of the second housing 42. A display section 46 and a single speaker section 47 are provided on the outer surface side (see JP-A-7-288860).
[0011]
According to the portable wireless device 40, since the display unit 46 can be viewed regardless of when the first housing 41 and the second housing 42 are expanded or folded, it is easy to confirm the caller. There was an advantage that it can be done.
[0012]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the portable wireless device 20 shown in FIG. 8 cannot see the caller because the display unit 26 cannot be seen even when an incoming call is received when the portable wireless device 20 is folded, and therefore cannot deal with nuisance calls and the like. There was such an inconvenience.
[0013]
On the other hand, in the portable wireless device 40 shown in FIGS. 9A and 9B, the display unit 46 is exposed even when the portable wireless device is folded, so that when a call is received, the caller can be immediately confirmed. As shown in FIG. 9 (b), when folded, the microphone unit 44 is hidden behind the speaker unit 47, and cannot talk in the folded state. There is a problem that it is troublesome because the off-hook operation must be performed while the 41 and the second housing 42 are deployed. Also, when folded, the speaker unit 47 and the microphone unit 44 come close to each other, which may cause howling.
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In view of the above problem, a portable wireless device according to the present invention includes a first housing and a first housing configured to be openable and closable by rotating about an axis substantially perpendicular to an opposing surface. The first housing includes at least a key operation unit and a first microphone unit on the side of the first housing facing the second housing. On the outer surface side opposite to the housing, at least a display unit, two speaker units and a second microphone unit disposed to sandwich the display unit are provided, and the first housing and the second housing are open. When the first microphone unit of the first housing is a transmitting unit, a speaker unit farther from the first microphone unit is operated as a receiving unit, respectively, and the first housing and the second microphone When the casing is closed, the second microphone section of the second casing is the transmitting section, and the second microphone section is Square of the speaker unit is characterized in that form so as to each operate as a reception section.
[0015]
It is preferable that at least at the time of an incoming call, a ring tone is emitted from the two speaker units.
[0016]

The control unit 13 is connected to the first and second microphone units 4 and 9, the two speaker units 7 and 8, the display unit 6, and the key operation unit 5. In addition, 15 is a storage unit connected to the control unit 13, 14 is a battery, 16 is a first detection unit, 17 is a second detection unit, and the first detection unit 16 and the second detection unit 17 are respectively The deployment state of the second housing 2 with respect to the first housing 1 is detected. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the structure of the detection unit is such that two conductor patterns 16a and 17a are formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical hinge unit 3, and the two conductive terminals 16b are formed by the rotation of the hinge unit 3. , 17b come into contact / non-contact with the two conductor patterns 16a, 17a to detect the ON / OFF state.
[0023]
Specifically, as shown in Table 1, when the first detection unit 16 is on and the second detection unit 17 is off, the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are completely When the first detection unit 16 is in the ON state and the second detection unit 17 is in the ON state, the second housing 2 is connected to the first housing 1 when the first detection unit 16 is in the folded state (FIG. 1). When the first detection unit 16 is in an off state and the second detection unit 17 is in an on state, the second case 2 is 180 degrees with respect to the first case 1 In the rotated and unfolded state (FIG. 3), when the first detection unit 16 is in the off state and the second detection unit 17 is in the off state, the second housing 2 is in a state other than the above (FIG. 2). is there.
[0024]
[Table 1]
Figure 2004032352
[0025]
Note that the relationship between the states of the first detector 16 and the second detector 17 and the developed state is not limited to the patterns shown in Table 1, and can be set as appropriate.
[0026]
The portable wireless device 10 of the present invention is capable of making a call not only when the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are expanded but also when folded.
[0027]
The flow will be described based on the flowchart shown in FIG.
[0028]
First, when an incoming call is detected, the two speaker units 7 and 8 are operated to emit a ringtone. At this time, since the two speaker units 7 and 8 are arranged on both sides of the display unit 6, they can be separated from each other, so that a stereo sound can be emitted.
[0029]
Then, a call is made by pressing the off-hook button 19, and at this time, the first casing 1 and the second casing Check the deployment state of 2. For example, when the first detecting unit 16 is off and the second detecting unit 17 is on, the portable wireless device 10 is in an expanded state (FIG. 3), and therefore, the caller or the like is displayed on the display unit 6. The reception information such as the telephone number is displayed, and the first microphone unit 4 and the speaker unit 8 located farther from the first microphone unit 4 (the end opposite to the hinge unit 3) are operated, and the speaker is operated. A call can be made by bringing the first microphone unit 4 close to the mouth and the first microphone unit 4 close to the mouth. At this time, the speaker unit 7 and the second microphone unit 9 near the hinge unit 3 are disabled, and the display information and the like on the display unit 6 are displayed such that the speaker unit 8 side is “up”. It has become.
[0030]
When the off-hook button 19 is pressed to make a call, and the first detection unit 16 is on and the second detection unit 17 is off, the portable wireless device 10 is in a folded state (FIG. 1), the display unit 6 displays received information such as the caller and its telephone number and the like, and is located farther from the second microphone unit 9 (near the hinge unit 3). By operating the speaker units 7 and bringing the second microphone unit 9 closer to the mouth and the speaker unit 7 closer to the ears, a call can be made. At this time, the speaker unit 8 and the first microphone unit 4 near the second microphone unit 9 (the end opposite to the hinge unit 3) are disabled, and the display information of the display unit 6 Is switched up and down so that the speaker section 7 is displayed so as to be “up”.
[0031]
Further, when the off-hook button 19 is pressed, the first detector 16 is on and the second detector 17 is on, or the first detector 16 is off and the second detector When the switch 17 is in the off state, the second housing 2 is being deployed with respect to the first housing 1 in both cases. , The display unit 6 is in the background color, the first and second microphone units 4 and 9 are inoperative, and when receiving an incoming call, whether the second housing 2 is completely folded (FIG. By 1) or developing (FIG. 3), a call is made as described above.
[0032]
As described above, according to the portable wireless device 10 of the present invention, the reception information such as the caller and the telephone number thereof is displayed not only when the second housing 2 is expanded but also when the second housing 2 is folded. It is possible to confirm through the unit 6 and to shift to the call mode as it is.
[0033]
In addition, a ring tone having a stereo effect can be generated by generating a ring tone independently from the two speaker units 7 and 8 when an incoming call is received. A full ringtone can be generated.
[0034]
Further, since the second microphone unit 9 is provided on the outer surface 2b of the second housing 2, when a call is made at the time of folding, the second microphone unit 9 surely collects sound and outputs accurate sound. Can be sent to the other party.
[0035]
As described above, the embodiment of the present invention has been described. However, it is needless to say that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be applied to an improved or changed one without departing from the gist of the present invention. Absent.
[0036]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the portable wireless device of the present invention, the first housing and the first housing configured to be openable and closable by being rotated about an axis substantially perpendicular to the opposing surfaces are provided. The first housing includes at least a key operation unit and a first microphone unit on the side of the first housing facing the second housing. On the outer surface side opposite to the casing, at least a display unit, two speaker units and a second microphone unit arranged to sandwich the display unit are provided, and the first casing and the second casing are open. When the first microphone unit of the first housing is a transmitting unit, a speaker unit farther from the first microphone unit is operated as a receiving unit, respectively, and the first housing and the second microphone When the casing is closed, the second microphone section of the second casing is the transmitting section, and the second microphone section is farther from the second microphone section. By operating the speaker unit as the receiver unit, if there is an incoming call not only when the portable wireless device is expanded but also when it is folded, the display unit displays the received information such as the caller and its telephone number. Since the information can be displayed, the caller can be easily specified, and a call can be immediately made according to the received information. Therefore, the caller does not have to wait, and if the call is a nuisance call, the call can be forcibly rejected. Moreover, since it is not necessary to open the two housings to make a call as in a conventional foldable portable wireless device, it is possible to make a call before the call is disconnected even if it is late to notice the incoming call. Since the probability can be improved, the caller does not feel uncomfortable and can sufficiently exhibit portability as a portable wireless device.
[0037]
Further, according to the present invention, since two speaker sections are arranged with the display section interposed therebetween, and the speaker section farther from the microphone section functions as the receiver section, no howling occurs.
[0038]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, at least at the time of an incoming call, a ringtone is transmitted from the two speaker units, so that a ringtone having a stereo effect can be generated, and the audience can be given a pleasant feeling.
