本発明は、位置情報に応じた撮影の補助を行う撮影補助システム、該システムに用いるデジタルカメラ、及びサーバに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、テーマパーク等の施設内においてデジタルカメラで撮影された画像を無線により基地局に転送し、サービスセンタ側が、転送された画像にテンプレート等を合成して出力し、最終的にサービスセンタでプリントを受けるサービスが提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来のサービスでは、ある場所でデジタルカメラの使用者が撮影を行う際、後に提供される合成画像がどのような画像になるのかを確認することができなかった。仮に、テンプレート画像にどのようなものが存在するかをサービスセンタで事前に確認できたとしても、そのテンプレート画像と実際の撮影画像とを合成したときの完成画像というものは確認することはできなかった。この為、実際の完成画像とサービス利用者のイメージする完成画像とが異なる可能性が生じてしまうという問題点があった。

本発明は、上記問題点に鑑みて為されたものであり、利用者の要望に合った画像を撮影させることが可能な撮影補助システム、該システムに用いるデジタルカメラ、及びサーバを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の撮影補助システムは、位置情報を取得する位置情報取得手段と、前記取得した位置情報を送信する位置情報送信手段と、前記位置情報に応じたテンプレートを受信するテンプレート受信手段と、前記受信したテンプレートと被写体映像とを合成する合成手段とを有するデジタルカメラと、前記位置情報送信手段によって送信されてくる位置情報に応じた、前記デジタルカメラに送信する為のテンプレートを保存する保存手段を有するサーバとを備えることを特徴とする。

この構成により、テンプレートと被写体映像との合成映像を確認しながら撮影を行うことで、要望に合った画像を取得することが可能になる。

以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。以下では、例えばディズニーランドのようなテーマパーク等で本システムを使用する場合を例に説明する。

図1は、本発明の実施形態に係る画像提供システムの構成図である。
画像提供システム1は、本システムの利用者に有料又は無料で貸し出されるデジタルカメラ100、テーマパーク内のエリア毎に配置される無線基地局101、及び画像提供サーバ103を有するサービスセンタ102を備える。デジタルカメラ100は、無線基地局101と有線又は無線により通信を行う。無線基地局101は、画像提供サーバ103と有線又は無線により通信を行い、自局の通信エリア内にデジタルカメラ100が存在するときは、デジタルカメラ100から送信される位置情報を画像提供サーバ103に送信する。

同図に示したように、テーマパークはA〜Dの4つのエリアに分割され、各エリアには1つずつアトラクションが存在する。又、各エリアにはそれぞれのエリアをカバーするように無線基地局101が設置される。尚、画像提供サーバ103の記録部105には、エリアA〜Dのそれぞれに対応した少なくとも1つのテンプレート画像や説明文が記録されている。ここで、説明文とは、各エリアにあるアトラクションを説明する文や撮影日時を説明する文等である。

図3は、記録部105に記録されているテンプレートの一例を示す図である。本実施形態ではエリアBにキャラクタのアトラクションがある為、同図に示したように、エリアBのテンプレートにはキャラクタの画像が背景に表示されている。このように、記録部105には、各エリアに存在するアトラクションに応じたテンプレートが記録されている。

画像提供部107は、合成画像をプリントアウトしたり、合成画像をメディアに保存して利用者に提供したり、合成画像をウェブサイトからダウンロードできるようにしたりすることで合成画像の提供を行っている。尚、これらの提供方法は、利用者によって事前に選択可能である。

次に、利用者が合成画像を取得するまでの動作について説明する。

まず、本システムの利用者は、サービスセンタ102においてデジタルカメラ100をレンタルし、合成画像をどのようにして受け取るかを選択する。その後、利用者がエリアB内でデジタルカメラ100の電源を投入すると、デジタルカメラ100は、自身の位置情報を取得し(S401)、取得した位置情報を無線基地局101に送信する(S402)。画像提供サーバ103は、デジタルカメラ100がエリアBに存在することを無線基地局101から送信される位置情報により判断し(S403)、エリアBに対応したテンプレート画像や説明文を無線基地局101を介してデジタルカメラ100に送信する(S404)。

撮影が終了すると、利用者は撮影した画像が必要かどうか判断し、必要な場合は、撮影した画像を画像提供サーバ103に送信する(S407)。一方、不要な場合は、撮影した画像を破棄する。画像送信後、撮影を続行する場合は、利用者は再び映像を見ながら撮影を行う。尚、利用者が仮に隣のエリアAに移動した場合は、S401〜S407と同様の流れで、エリアAに対応したテンプレートと被写体映像とが合成された映像を確認しながら撮影を行う。

撮影終了後、利用者はサービスセンタ102にデジタルカメラ100を返却し、始めに選択した方法で、合成画像を受け取る。このとき利用者が受け取る合成画像は、撮影時にディスプレイに表示されていた画像と同一となる。この為、実際の完成画像と利用者のイメージする完成画像とが異なるということがなくなる。したがって、本実施形態によれば、利用者にとって有用な画像提供サービスを行うことができる。
