２００１−３３３３５７号公報等ではＥＰＧ情報に再放
送の識別子を必要とした。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記従来技術では、再
放送番組を検出する場合ＥＰＧ情報の再放送の識別子を
利用しているため、ＥＰＧ情報に再放送の識別子が付加
されていない場合には再放送番組として検出できない。
【０００４】本発明は上記問題点にからみ、再放送番組
を検出する場合ＥＰＧ情報に再放送の識別子が付加され
ていない場合にも再放送番組と検出できるようにしたも
のである。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題を解決するた
め、本発明に係る再放送番組検出装置は、電子番組表
（ＥＰＧ）を利用してユーザ任意のテレビ番組を視聴予
約または録画予約を行った場合、視聴予約または録画予
約を行うために選択されたテレビ番組の番組タイトルを
保存し、視聴予約または録画予約を行った時間帯に視聴
予約が失敗した場合に、予約失敗を検出した番組のＥＰ
Ｇ情報を記録して失敗番組リストを作成し、ＥＰＧ情報
が更新されるたびに更新したＥＰＧ情報と予約失敗番組
リスト上のＥＰＧ情報とを比較し、予約失敗番組リスト
上のＥＰＧ情報と一致した場合にその番組が予約失敗番
組の再放送または関連する番組と判断し、再放送または
関連する番組と判断した番組の番組タイトルや開始時刻
などのＥＰＧ情報を提示することで、予約に失敗したテ
レビ番組の再放送または関連する番組のＥＰＧ情報を提
示するとを備えること構成を備えたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】本発明に係る再放送番組検出装置
は、電子番組表（ＥＰＧ）を利用してユーザ任意のテレ
ビ番組を視聴予約または録画予約を行うための操作を行
うＥＰＧ上での予約番組選択手段と、視聴予約または録
画予約を行うために選択されたテレビ番組のＥＰＧ情
報、例えば番組タイトルを保存する予約番組タイトル保
存手段と、視聴予約または録画予約を行った時間帯にテ
レビジョン受像機の電源がオフにより視聴予約が失敗し
た場合やビデオデッキがビデオテープ未挿入等により予
約失敗したことをを検出する予約の失敗検出手段と、予
約失敗を検出した番組のＥＰＧ情報、例えば番組タイト
ルを保存する予約の失敗番組リストの更新手段と、番組
タイトルや番組開始時刻や終了時刻などのＥＰＧ情報を
定期的に更新するＥＰＧ情報更新手段と、ＥＰＧ情報が
更新されるたびに更新したＥＰＧ情報、例えば番組タイ
トルと予約失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルを比較し予
約失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルの全ての文字列とＥ
ＰＧ情報の番組タイトルの全てまたはほとんどの文字列
が一致した場合に予約失敗番組の再放送または関連する
番組と判断する失敗番組リストの番組タイトルとＥＰＧ
の番組タイトル比較手段と、失敗番組リストの番組タイ
トルとＥＰＧの番組タイトル比較手段で予約失敗番組の
再放送または関連する番組と判断した番組の番組タイト
ルや開始時刻などのＥＰＧ情報を提示するＥＰＧ情報提
示手段とを備えること構成を備えたものである。

における再放送番組検出装置のブロック構成図を示すも
のである。１はＥＰＧ情報により作成された電子番組表
（以下、ＥＰＧと記す）を利用してユーザ任意のテレビ
番組を視聴予約または録画予約を行うための操作を行う
ＥＰＧ上での予約番組選択手段、２は視聴予約または録
画予約を行うために選択されたテレビ番組の番組タイト
ルを保存する予約番組タイトル保存手段、３は視聴予約
または録画予約を行った時間帯にテレビジョン受像機の
電源がオフにより視聴予約が失敗した場合とビデオデッ
キがビデオテープ未挿入等により予約失敗を検出する予
約の失敗検出手段である。

ルを保存する予約の失敗番組リストの更新手段、５は番
組タイトルや番組開始時刻や終了時刻などのＥＰＧ情報
を定期的に更新するＥＰＧ情報更新手段、６はＥＰＧ情
報が更新されるたびに更新したＥＰＧ情報の番組タイト
ルと予約失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルを比較し予約
失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルの全ての文字列とＥＰ

一致した場合に予約失敗番組の再放送または関連する番
組と判断する失敗番組リストの番組タイトルとＥＰＧの
番組タイトル比較手段、７は失敗番組リストの番組タイ
トルとＥＰＧの番組タイトル比較手段で予約失敗番組の
再放送または関連する番組と判断した番組の番組タイト
ルや開始時刻などのＥＰＧ情報を提示するＥＰＧ情報提
示手段である。

再放送番組の検出を行う場合の動作について説明する。
【００１０】ＥＰＧ上での予約番組選択手段１で電子番
組表（ＥＰＧ）を利用してユーザ任意のテレビ番組を視
聴予約または録画予約を行うための操作を行い、予約番
組タイトル保存手段２で視聴予約または録画予約を行う
ために選択されたテレビ番組の番組タイトルを保存し、
予約の失敗検出手段３で視聴予約または録画予約を行っ
た時間帯にテレビジョン受像機の電源がオフにより視聴
予約が失敗した場合とビデオデッキがビデオテープ未挿
入等により予約失敗を検出する。予約失敗を検出した場
合に、予約の失敗番組リストの更新手段４で予約失敗を
検出した番組の番組タイトルを保存する。
【００１１】ＥＰＧ情報更新手段５で番組タイトルや開
始時刻などのＥＰＧ情報を定期的に更新し、失敗番組リ
ストの番組タイトルとＥＰＧの番組タイトル比較手段６
でＥＰＧ情報が更新されるたびに更新したＥＰＧ情報の
番組タイトルと予約失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルを
比較し予約失敗番組リスト上の番組タイトルの全ての文
字列とＥＰＧ情報の番組タイトルの全てまたはほとんど
の文字列が一致した場合に予約失敗番組の再放送または
関連する番組と判断する。

番組タイトルとＥＰＧの番組タイトル比較手段で予約失
敗番組の再放送または関連する番組と判断した番組の番
組タイトルや開始時刻などのＥＰＧ情報を提示する。
【００１３】本発明では、もし録画予約、若しくは視聴
予約をしたにもかかわらずそれを実現できなかった場合
であっても、録画予約、若しくは視聴予約していた番組
の情報を記録し、将来放送される予定の番組情報である
ＥＰＧ情報と比較することで次回の放送予定を事前に検
知することができ、それを例えば画面に表示し、視聴者
に提示または報告することで、視聴者に録画予約または
視聴予約をする機会を確実にあたえるものである。

【発明の効果】以上のように本発明によればＥＰＧ上で
視聴予約または録画予約を行った場合に、その予約に失
敗した番組の再放送が、ＥＰＧ上に再放送識別子情報を
付加することなく検出することが出来るという有利な効
