PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined sealing device for permitting sealing between the rotating portion and the mounting portion of a bearing. SOLUTION: The sealing device comprises an outer-ring side sealing element 4 and an inner-ring side sealing element 5. The outer periphery edge of the outer-ring side sealing element 4 is provided with a protruded lip 4a protruded to the outer periphery side, and the protruded lip 4a is held in a gap b between an outer ring 1 and an outer ring mounting member 3. せ摺接させることで要求される高い密封性能を得てい
る。昨今では、片方のシール要素に弾性体からなるシー
ルリップを複数個配設し、もう片方のシール要素はこの
シールリップを包み込む形状のスリンガーとした組み合
わせシールが多く出回っている。また、この組み合わせ
シールの片方へ車輪の回転数を検出するためのパルスを
発生する磁気エンコーダを併設したものも見られるよう
になっている。
