Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a teaching aid for studying the English wherein a mistakable English word caused mainly because of a similar spelling is visualized together with a word spelling desired to remember as a couple so that this visualization is achieved by a built-in picture which signifies the meaning of the word, and wherein a learner becoming familiar with the Japanese flat pronunciation masters the position of a proper accent on the occasion of studying an English word. SOLUTION: In claim 1 the learner starts coming up for a warm-up test (Figure 1) prepared in the teaching aid for studying the English word. The contents of this test are composed of the mistakable word caused because of the similar spelling. The test makes it possible for the learner to grasp the extent of his knowledge of a glossary. Later on the ability to grasp the English word on the spot can be acquired by studying the way of memorization which integrates the word spelling and the picture both acting as the nucleus of the teaching aid. In claim 2 an accurate accentuation sounding Englishlike can be mastered by making larger and all the more thickened not only each word to be studied but also a printing type which comes under an accented syllable in the word pronunciation.

2. Description of the Related Art There are many words and phrases that are currently on the market, such as high school exams, university entrance exams, and various English proficiency test words and phrases. Vocabulary to be arranged in alphabetical order or frequency order, those approached from the etymology,
The mainstream method is to memorize the pronunciation of words and Japanese by combining words, as well as memorize by example sentences or collocation. However, most of these vocabulary and words that should be remembered as a pair are given only to the extent that the learner's attention is given, and the learner devises the concrete way of remembering them. I can say. As a result, most learners will repeatedly lose their memory after a while even if they call attention to the word. Also, regarding the accent of Japaneseized English words, since they are accustomed to the accent form of Japanese, they have forgotten the accent of the original English words by mistake.
Furthermore, many learners tend to miss spelling and neglect their pronunciation, which makes English a flat accent peculiar to Japanese, even though it is a language that is originally characterized by strong and weak accents. Is the current situation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In order to make up for the disadvantages of these various types of word learning teaching materials, claim 1 is an invention focusing on an efficient memorization method of words with misleading spellings and words to be remembered as a pair. By incorporating words and letters themselves into patterns, letters and pictures are united to minimize the time wasted of the learner, and not only for learners who are not good at learning English, but also for beginners. We provide creative learning materials for learners up to the intermediate level and even for English learners up to the advanced level. The method of incorporating pictures into English learning is called'juji-e ', which reminds vocabulary from pictures.
us' is listed in the dictionary. For example, give a picture or letter such that a bee and the number 4 are read as'before ', or that a picture of an eye is presented to remind the person of'I'. It is a learning method to make words and sentences with the same pronunciation. In addition, for learning English words on the market, for example,
There is also a teaching material in which words representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter are accompanied by landscape paintings that remind each season. However, in any case, the picture tends to be more impressive than the word, and there is a feeling that the picture and the word do not fuse well and are separated.

[0004] In order to solve these problems, the claim item 1 aims at the convenience of the learner mainly by advancing the learning mainly on the misleading words. Specific examples of vocabulary with misleading spellings are'royal 'and'loyal', 'track'and'truc.
k ',' batter 'and'butter', 'play'and'pray',' affect '
And'effect ','glass'and'grass' etc., and those you want to remember as a pair are'thin ',' thick ',' optimistic '
Or'pessimistic ',' longitude 'or'latitude', etc.,
Things that are easy to make mistakes include'beard 'and'mustache'.
These seem to be basic words at first glance, but they are also a group of vocabulary that is difficult for an advanced English person to distinguish instantly.
The invention can be effective not only in word learning but also in idiom learning. For example, 'on time'or'in tim
'on' as seen in e ',' be made of 'and'be made from'
By combining "in" and "in" in a complex and three-dimensional manner, it becomes easier to settle in memory, and at the same time, it becomes possible to set up accurate operational ability.

[Means for Solving Problems] It has been pointed out academically that in the course of learning, "visual sense" is the most effective of the five senses (visual, auditory, tactile, taste, and auditory). There is. Therefore, in claim 1, the meaning of each word can be instantly understood by incorporating the entire spelling of the word or a part of the alphabet constituting the word into the picture.

By utilizing this means, the following advantages can be considered. First of all, since the picture shows the meaning of the word, the meaning of the word to be learned can be understood visually. In addition, the letters embedded in the picture can spell out words. The second advantage is that you will be able to consciously recall the meaning and spelling of vocabulary. Understanding is not enough to remember words. If you can't consciously remember (remember) over time, you can't say it's completely remembered or settled. It is an advantage of the present invention that visually remembered words are not easily forgotten and are effective for long-term memory. Third, learners can develop learning from vocabulary comprehension / establishment to more creative thinking / thinking. The present invention has the advantage that it not only provides knowledge, but also stimulates the creativity and creativity of the learner, and in particular helps to develop the thinking ability of early learners in English. Therefore, the present invention can give a stimulus to learners by arranging unlearned vocabulary in their own way to improve their vocabulary ability, and can present an opportunity to use knowledge creatively.

The second aspect is also characterized by the visual effect, as in the first aspect. In other words, the intention is to make the learner understand the position of the accent accurately by making the type of the syllable in which the spelling of the word and the phonetic symbol is accentuate large and thick so that it is easy to remember. Especially for Japanese that has been translated into Japanese, you will be able to acquire accurate accents.

In addition, claims 1 and 2 can be provided as one English learning material such as the first part and the second part. Furthermore, by adding a cassette tape or a CD to the present invention, recognition by voice becomes possible. Further, the present invention becomes an ideal teaching material that further arouses the learner's interest by making it into a card as an English learning material, making it into a multimedia as a CD-ROM, or creating it in other forms.

This is a two-page spread. The page on the left is lined with words that are prone to mistakes and double spelled below the spelling that should bring the learner's attention. In FIG. 2, 'royal' (royal and throne) and'loyal '(faithful) are taken up so that the epoch-making idea of the present invention can be easily understood. The reason I picked it up is that it is only mentioned as a word with similar spelling in several English language learning materials, and even advanced English people tend to confuse these two confusing vocabularies.

Explaining FIG. 2 concretely, the alphabet'r ', which is a part of the spelling of'royal', is compared to the throne of the king. In other words, it can be easily inferred that "royal" with the spelling of "r" is a word for "king." Also the figure below is'loy

Each figure will be described as briefly as possible. The explanation makes it possible for the learner to understand the word instantly, and at the same time, by understanding this series of figures, spelling that is likely to be mistaken can be remembered. After completing each lesson, the learner returns to the warm-up test shown in Fig. 1 and tries his / her own power again. As a guide, pass the correct answer rate of 80% or more.

FIG. 5 is a half-page spread of the learning material of claim 2. First, in each word, the type of accented syllables is made bold, and the phonetic symbols are similarly visually prominent. This enables not only spelling but also pronunciation and accent positions to be visually understood and accurately stored when learning English words. In addition, not only the meaning but also a concise expression is attached to the word, which helps the learner's expressiveness.
