The manner in which the edges of the belt material are joined together for the endurance of the round conveyor belt depends on changes in the installation form of the belt in a series of conveyor belt devices or the drive form of the belt itself. It is desirable to respond. The present invention relates to, as one of belt driving forms, a round conveyor belt joint suitable for holding a portion of the belt near the outer periphery on both sides of the belt with a pair of rollers and causing the belt to run along with the rotation of the rollers. It does not provide a structure.

[0008] The belt disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 2-214949 was attached to a device for holding the front and back surfaces of the belt with a pair of rollers under high pressure and forcibly running the belt by rotating the rollers. In this case, the belt outer peripheral part using the overlap type has sufficient rigidity and toughness to prevent the occurrence of cracks and the like during the belt traveling, so that the belt can travel sufficiently. The presence of the overlapped portion causes a large stepped portion to be formed in the overlapped portion, causing the rollers to jump when the belt runs, resulting in abnormal noise and noise, which also disturbs the working environment.

Alternatively, the joining portion extending in the belt width direction has a linear butting structure at a portion closer to the outer periphery of the belt, which is a pressure contact region of the pair of rollers, and a remaining portion closer to the inner periphery of the belt has a lightning edge. Without nested butting structure,
By adopting a joining structure in which the joining portions have different butting structures, a unique effect can be obtained for each joining location. In other words, in the nested butt joint with the lightning edge, the toughness of the belt joint is increased, and in the butt joint of the linear edge, the intersection area of the joint with the roller is reduced, so that the joining is reduced. It can greatly contribute to the reduction of cracking and peeling of parts.

The woven cloth pieces embedded in the outer peripheral portion of the belt can sufficiently cover the pressure contact area of the roller group with the belt because local stress generated at the side edge of the roller is required. It is also necessary in order to prevent the occurrence of damage to the butt joint due to the concentration of the butt joint.

As described above, the selection of the length of the short woven piece and the length of the long woven piece extending over the entire width of the belt, the nested and linear butting, and the joining structure thereof are respectively limited to only the portion of the embedded woven piece near the outer periphery of the belt. A belt suitable for the intended use can be appropriately selected by selecting a different joining portion and combining the woven fabric piece embedding portion with a joining portion having a different configuration.

In FIG. 3 (Embodiment 3), of the joining portion 4 of the belt material extending in the belt width direction, a portion near the outer periphery of the belt is abutted by straight edges 6, 6. The remaining portion closer to the inner circumference of the belt is formed by abutting of lightning-like edges 5, 5, and the embedding portion of the reinforcing woven fabric piece 7A to be embedded so as to cover the joint 4 is a straight end. The butt portions of the edges 6, 6 are limited, and the butt portions of the lightning edges 5, 5 are lacking the woven cloth pieces. In this embodiment 3, in the belt material joining portion 4 which is pressed in a crossing manner with the roller, the joining portion 4 of the belt material is constituted by a butt portion of the linear edge 6, so that the intersection region with the roller is in the joining region. It is limited to only a few straight portions, and the occurrence of cracking phenomena due to press-contact fatigue of the joint 4 with the roller is suppressed as much as possible. The belt inner peripheral portion can maintain the flexibility of the belt itself by lacking a woven cloth piece, and the toughness of the belt due to the nested butt joining of the belt material.

In FIG. 4 (Embodiment 4), the joining portion 4 of the belt material is abutted on the straight edges 6 and 6 and the lightning edges 5 and 5 in the same manner as in Embodiment 3. The reinforcing woven cloth piece 7B located on the joint 4 is embedded in the entire length of the joint 4, that is, over the entire width of the belt.
In this embodiment 4, since the cross-joining portion with the roller is locally limited to the butt portion of the linear edge, the contact fatigue with the roller at the joining portion is reduced similarly to the above-mentioned embodiment 3. The occurrence of the accompanying cracking phenomenon is suppressed. The embedding of the woven fabric over the entire length of the belt joint also reinforces the joint, which is the largest weak point of the belt.

(Experimental Results) Comparative Example 1: In the case of the belt of No. 1, there was no occurrence of roller jumping, abnormal noise, and noise.
After a lapse of 36 hours, a cracking phenomenon occurs at the nested butt joint near the outer periphery of the belt which is in pressure contact with the roller. Comparative Example: In the case of the belt of No. 2, no cracking phenomenon occurred in the belt even after 336 hours had passed, but the difference was remarkable because of the step corresponding to the amount of overlap of the canvas material caused by the overlap of the canvas material at the joint. Rolling up of abnormal rollers, noise, and noise were observed. In the present embodiment, in the belt of the first embodiment, there is no occurrence of roller jumping, abnormal noise, and noise. However, after a lapse of 700 hours, a crack occurred at the belt joint. In the present embodiment: With the belt of No. 3, there is no occurrence of jumping of the roller, abnormal noise and noise. In addition, no abnormality such as the occurrence of a cracking phenomenon is observed in the belt joint after 1000 hours.

The round conveyor belt according to the present invention is finished endlessly by joining the edges of a belt material having a fan shape in plan view. In this belt, the driving of the belt is realized by holding the portion near the outer periphery of the belt with a pair of rollers from both sides of the belt and driving the rollers by pressure. This belt has a joint structure that extends in the width direction of the belt, which is necessary for endlessness. The lightning or linear edges provided at both ends of the belt material are joined together, and at least a part of the belt joint is nested. This greatly improves the flexibility of this type of belt with a high degree of bending fatigue and strengthens the joint, and at the same time, the degree of progress of the brittleness is increased by the pressure contact between the driving roller and the joint. A reinforcement woven piece is buried in the cover resin layer at the largest joint portion near the outer periphery of the belt, and the part is locally reinforced, thereby extending the life of the belt. The embedding in the cover layer can completely suppress the roll-up phenomenon of the roller or the generation of abnormal noise and noise due to the roller even in the cross-rolling by the roller repeated in this portion.

In the round conveyor belt according to the fourth aspect, the embedding operation of the woven fabric piece is simplified by limiting the embedment area of the woven cloth piece to a linear butting portion near the outer periphery of the belt in the joining portion. In addition, the embedment portion of the woven fabric piece, that is, the junction at the intersection with the roller has a linear shape with the minimum intersection area with the roller, and a reinforcing woven fabric piece is coated on the linear junction. Since it is embedded in the belt, it is effective in suppressing a belt cracking phenomenon caused by peeling from the joint.

In the round conveyor belt according to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the embedment area of the woven fabric piece is performed over the entire length of the joining portion corresponding to the belt width direction, so that this kind of belt has the most deterioration. Reinforcement of the entire joint that progresses, and furthermore, the joint at the point of intersection pressure contact with the roller has a linear shape with the minimum intersection area, and a reinforcing woven fabric piece is embedded in the covering on the linear joint. As a result, it is possible to effectively prevent the belt from being broken due to peeling from the joint.
