【従来の技術】内視鏡挿入部に設けられる湾曲部は、リ
ング状の複数の節輪をカシメピン（ピン部材）で連結し
て構成されている。図１１は、実公昭５８−４６８０１
号公報に示される湾曲部の節輪構造で、カシメピン１
は、その先端が節輪２の内周面から突出され、その突出
部分にガイド孔３が形成されている。ガイド孔３には、
湾曲部を湾曲操作する操作ワイヤ（湾曲操作用ワイヤ）
４が挿通されている。操作ワイヤは、手元操作部内のプ
ーリーに接続され、プーリーの軸に設けられた湾曲操作

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、従来の
湾曲部構造は、湾曲部を大きく湾曲操作した際に、操作
ワイヤが節輪に接触する欠点があった。操作ワイヤが節

ヤが損傷されるおそれがある。

避けて配置することができない。このために、カシメピ
ンを大きく突出させると、内容物にカシメピンが干渉
し、内容物の配置に無理が生じたり、内容物を損傷させ
る等の問題が発生するおそれがある。また、内容物を損
傷させないように保護部材を取り付けることもできる
が、その分、充填率がさらに上昇してしまうことにな
る。

造が適用された内視鏡１０は、手元操作部１２と、この
手元操作部１２に基端部が接続された挿入部１４とを有
している。挿入部１４は、軟性部２０、湾曲部２２、及
び先端硬質部２４から構成されており、前記湾曲部２２
は、手元操作部１２に設けられた一対の湾曲操作用ノブ
２６、２６を回動させることにより遠隔的に湾曲操作さ
れ、前記先端硬質部２４が所望の方向に向けられる。

１の符号３９は、電気コネクタ３８のキャップである。

は、連結部４６と操作ワイヤ４２との間隔Ｙ１よりも小
さくなるように構成される。また、切欠孔５２の端とカ

るように構成される。

配置の自由度が上がる。湾曲部２２には、図３に示す如
く、鉗子チューブ５４、送気・送水チューブ５６、信号
ケーブル５８、ライトガイド６０、６０等の内容物が挿
通配置されている。このため、湾曲部２２を細径化して
節輪４０の径が小さくなり、内容物の充填率が大きくな
ると、湾曲部２２を湾曲操作した際に内容物がカシメピ
ン４８によって圧迫され損傷するおそれがある。これに
対して、本実施の形態の湾曲部構造は、内容物の配置の
自由度が上がるので、内容物が圧迫されず、内容物の耐
久性が向上する。また、内容物を保護するための保護部
材をカシメピン等に取り付ける必要がないので、その分
だけ湾曲部２２の充填率を上げることなく、湾曲部２２
を細径化できる。

上述した実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、操作ワ
イヤ４２と接触する可能性のある部分が切り欠かれてい
ればよい。例えば、連結部４６の先端部をテーパ加工し
てもよい。また、図８（ａ）に示すように、連結部６２
の先端部を直線状に切り落としてもよい。さらに、図８
（ｂ）に示す連結部６４のように、貫通孔６４Ａに連通
する切欠部６４Ｂを形成してもよい。

Claims (4)
- 【請求項１】 内視鏡挿入部に形成された湾曲部が、リ
ング状に形成された複数の節輪を、該節輪の端面に突出
形成された連結部で連結して構成されるとともに、前記
節輪の内部に挿通された湾曲操作用ワイヤが、前記連結
部を連結するピン部材によってガイドされることを特徴
とする内視鏡の湾曲部構造において、 前記連結部には、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤとの接触を避け
る切欠部が形成されたことを特徴とする内視鏡の湾曲部
構造。 - 【請求項２】 前記切欠部は、前記連結部の先端に形成
された溝であり、該溝の底と前記ピン部材との間隔は、
前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前記連結部との間隔よりも短い
ことを特徴とする請求項１記載の内視鏡の湾曲部構造。 - 【請求項３】 前記切欠部は、前記連結部の基端部に形
成された孔であり、該孔の端部と前記ピン部材との間隔
は、前記湾曲操作用ワイヤと前記連結部との間隔よりも
短いことを特徴とする請求項１記載の内視鏡の湾曲部構
造。 - 【請求項４】 内視鏡挿入部に形成された湾曲部が、リ
ング状に形成された複数の節輪を、該節輪の端面に突出
形成された連結部で連結して構成されるとともに、前記
節輪の内部に挿通された湾曲操作用ワイヤが、前記連結
部を連結するピン部材によってガイドされることを特徴
