Features are required by the manufacturer to correct software defects, update software, meet compatibility needs, and so on. Features are ordered by consumers in response to solicitation advertisements (130) for these features. Data relating to the features is compiled and sent from the main location (20) to a plurality of receiving locations (46, 48 and 50). The data is then stored in the memory of the identified receiving location (50) and software is used to install or operate the stored features.
