Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.情報サービスプロバイダと対話型に通信するシステムで使用するための加入 者装置であって、 無線周波数(RF)端末と、 単一の供給経路を有し且つ前記RF端末に接続され、前記RF端末からのRF 信号を出力に接続し且つバックチャネル制御信号を入力から前記RF端末に接続 するダイプレクサと、 前記ダイプレクサ出力に接続され、情報チャネルを介して前記情報サービスプ ロバイダから情報サービスを受信する情報チャネル受信機と、 前記ダイプレクサ出力に接続され、コマンドチャネルを介して前記情報サービ スプロバイダからコマンド情報を受信するコマンドチャネル受信機と、 前記ダイプレクサ入力に接続され、前記バックチャネル制御信号を供給するバ ックチャネル送信機と、 前記情報チャネル受信機、コマンドチャネル受信機及びバックチャネル送信機 に接続され、前記情報サービスプロバイダに関する情報トランザクションを制御 するコントローラと、 を備えた加入者装置。 2.前記コマンドチャネル受信機が、 前記ダイプレクサ出力に接続され、前記加入者装置に関連したコマンドチャネ ル周波数を選択するチューナと、 前記コマンドチャネルチューナに接続され、前記選択コマンドチャネル周波数 にあるコマンド情報を抽出する復調器と、 を備えた請求項1の加入者装置。 3. 前記情報チャネル受信機が、 前記ダイプレクサ出力に接続され、前記加入者装置に関連した情報チャネル周 波数を選択するチューナと、 前記情報チャネルチューナに接続され、前記選択情報チャネル周波数 にあるプロバイダ情報を復調し、中間周波数(IF)信号を発生する復調器と、 を備えた請求項2の加入者装置。 4.更に、 前記情報チャネル復調器に接続され、前記IF信号がアナログテレビジョン信 号である場合、前記IF信号を復調するアナログテレビジョン信号復調器と、 前記情報チャネル復調器に接続され、前記IF信号がディジタル情報信号であ る場合、前記IF信号から前記加入者装置にアドレス指定された情報を抽出する ディジタル情報信号復調器と、 を備えた請求項3の加入者装置。 5.前記バックチャネル送信機が、 前記コントローラに接続され、前記コントローラから受信された命令をBPS K変調する2進位相偏移(BPSK)変調器と、 前記コントローラに接続され、前記BPSK変調命令を前記コントローラによ って決定された周波数にアッブ変換するミキサと、 前記ミキサに接続され、前記アップ変換されたBPSK信号を制御できるよう に増幅する可制御増幅器とを備え、 前記可制御増幅器が、前記制御チャネルを介して受信された制御情報に応じて 前記コントローラによって制御される請求項1の加入者装置。 6.前記情報チャネル、前記制御チャネル及び前記バックチャネルが相互に排他 的なスペクトル領域を占める請求項1の加入者装置。 7.前記コントローラが、入力装置によって発生される加入者命令に応じて前記 命令を評価し、前記命令がローカル機能に関連するか遠隔機能に関連するかを決 定し、 前記命令が遠隔機能に関連する場合、前記コントローラが、前記バックチャネ ル送信機に前記命令を前記プロバイダに送信させる請求項1の加入者装置。 8.更に、 前記情報チャネル受信機に接続されて、一連のMPEGのようなトランスポー トストリームパケットを含むMPEGのようなトランスポートストリームのパケ ットを解除し、前記MPEGのようなトランスポートストリームパケットの各々 に含まれる端末識別(TID)を調べ、且つ適切なTIDを有するこれらのパケ ットを出力に送るディパケタイザと、 前記ディパケタイザに接続され、適切なTIDを有する前記パケットを復号化 するデコーダと、 を更に備えた請求項2の加入者装置。 9.対話型情報分散システムにおいて情報を情報プロバイダと交換する加入者側 の方法であって、前記分散システムが、情報チャネル、制御チャネル及びバック チャネルを支援する単一の通信要素を備え、前記加入者側の方法が、 単一の供給ダイプレクサを介して、前記情報チャネル及び前記コマンドチャネ ルを受け入れるステップと、 前記情報チャネル及び前記コマンドチャネルをそれぞれの受信機に接続するス テップと、 前記情報チャネルから適切な端末識別子を有するプロバイダ情報を検索するス テップであって、前記端末識別子が所定の端末識別子又は前記コマンドチャネル から検索された端末識別子内一方であることと、 前記単一の供給ダイプレクサを介して、バックチャネル命令を前記情報プロバ イダに送信するステップと、 を含む加入者側の情報交換方法。 10.前記検索するステップが、 前記情報チャネルによって供給されるMPEGのようなトランスポートストリ ームをパケット解除するステップと、 前記パケット解除されたMPEGのようなトランスポートストリームの各パケ ットを調べるステップと、 前記MPEGのようなトランスポートストリームパケットの各々を含んだ端末 識別(TID)とローカルTIDとを比較するステップと、 一致するTIDを有するこれらのMPEGのようなパケットを復号化するステ ップと、 を含む請求項9の加入者側の情報交換方法。
