し、適切な応答を生成する自然言語対話システムを提供
する。 【解決手段】 解析手段３では、意味パターン情報格納
手段３３に格納されている意味パターン情報を参照して
ユーザの意図を抽出し、意味表現を生成する。解析結果
の意味表現は対話制御手段２に返される。対話制御手段
２はこの意味表現に基づき適切な応答を生成する。

【従来の技術】不完全な自然言語文の入力に対して格情
報を用いて不足する情報を問い合わせる自然言語対話シ
ステムが、特開平１０−１１６２８７号に提案されてい
る。特開平１０−１１６２８７号の発明は、従来技術で
の不完全な文に対する処理における問題点である、不足
する情報をシステムが補うには膨大な知識が必要である
点、対話における断片的な入力では文脈処理から補うこ
とが困難である点、不足情報についてユーザに問い合わ
せる文を多数予め用意するのが困難である点に着目し成
されたものである。

ていることが多く、自然言語対話システムからその都度
問合せられることに煩わしさを感じる場合が多い点が課
題であった。

情報をユーザに出力する出力手段とを設けたことを特徴

る。 （１）請求項１記載の自然言語対話システムは、不完全

図を推定し適切な応答を生成することができる。 （２）請求項２記載の自然言語対話システムは、解析手
段である形態素解析手段、構文解析手段、意味パターン
情報格納手段、意味解析手段、及び情報取得手段につい
て、通信制御手段を介した分散環境に配置することによ
って、多くの自然言語対話端末で資源を共有化すること
ができる。これにより、各自然言語対話端末を低コスト
で負荷の小さい構成とする一方で、解析の為の意味パタ
ーン情報やユーザに提供する情報については分散環境を
用いて十分に蓄えることができ、適切な応答を生成する

- 【請求項１】ユーザからの入力文を受け付け入力文字列
として取り出す入力手段と、 ユーザに提供する情報を格納し情報要求に応じて情報を
提供する情報取得手段と、 前記入力文字列を元に品詞情報を伴った形態素列を生成
し出力する形態素解析手段と、前記形態素列を元に構文
表現を生成し出力する構文解析手段と、前記構文表現に
関してユーザの意図を表わすパターンを意味パターン情
報として格納する意味パターン情報格納手段と、前記構
文表現を元に前記意味パターン情報を用いてユーザの意
図する意味表現を生成する意味解析手段とを備えた解析
手段と、 前記入力文字列を前記解析手段に供給すると共に、前記
解析手段の解析結果である前記意味表現に基づき、ユー
ザへの応答生成及び前記情報取得手段からユーザに提供
する情報の取得を行う対話制御手段と、 前記対話制御手段から供給される前記ユーザへの応答及
び前記提供情報をユーザに出力する出力手段とを設けた
ことを特徴とする自然言語対話システム。 - 【請求項２】請求項１記載の自然言語対話システムにお
いて、 上記入力手段と上記出力手段と上記対話制御手段とによ
り自然言語対話端末を形成し、 上記情報取得手段及び上記解析手段は、通信制御手段を
介して上記対話制御手段と接続されることを特徴とする
自然言語対話システム。 - 【請求項３】請求項１または２記載の自然言語対話シス
テムにおいて、 ユーザの対話の用途を判定する用途判定手段を設けると
共に、 上記解析手段に用途別のユーザの意図を表わす用途別意
味パターン情報を格納する用途別意味パターン情報格納
手段を設け、 前記用途判定手段は上記対話制御手段に制御されてユー
ザの対話の用途を判定し、 上記解析手段内の意味解析手段は、上記意味パターン情
報、及び前記用途判定手段の用途判定結果に応じた前記
用途別意味パターン情報を用いてユーザの意図する意味
表現を生成することを特徴とする自然言語対話システ
ム。 - 【請求項４】請求項１または２記載の自然言語対話シス
テムにおいて、 ユーザを識別するユーザ識別手段を設けると共に、 上記解析手段にユーザ毎の特有の意味パターン情報であ
るユーザ別意味パターン情報を格納するユーザ別意味パ
ターン情報格納手段を設け、 前記ユーザ識別手段は上記対話制御手段に制御されてユ
ーザを識別し、 上記解析手段内の意味解析手段は、上記意味パターン情
報、及び前記ユーザ識別手段の識別結果に応じた前記ユ
ーザ別意味パターン情報を用いてユーザの意図する意味
表現を生成することを特徴とする自然言語対話システ
ム。
