【課題を解決するための手段】本願発明にかかるラベル
貼付装置は、被貼付物を搬送するための搬送手段と、
尺状の剥離テープ上に所定間隔をおきながら複数のラベ
ルを仮着したラベル連続体を保持し連続的に移送して、
搬送手段で搬送されてくる被貼付物へ向かってラベルを
剥離テープから剥離しつつ送り出すためのラベル送出手
段と、ラベル送出手段から送り出されたラベルを被貼付
物に押圧して貼付するためのラベル押圧手段と、ラベル
の一端部を被貼付物に貼付した後、ラベル押圧手段を一
旦被貼付物から離間させ、ラベルの残りの部分を被貼付
物に貼付せずに被貼付物の搬送に伴わせて剥離テープか
ら剥離しつつ送り出し、その後、ラベルの残りの部分を
被貼付物に対して一度に押圧して貼付するため、ラベル
押圧手段を被貼付物に対して変位させる変位手段を含
む、ラベル貼付装置である。このラベル貼付装置は、一
端部のみ貼付されたラベルの残りの部分を被貼付物に
着せずに剥離テープから剥離しつつ繰り出した後、ラベ
ル押圧手段によって一度に貼付するので、従来のように
ラベルの一端から他端へと徐々に貼付することによる位
置ズレの蓄積が生じない。そのため、ラベルを所定の位
置にズレなく真っ直ぐに貼り付けることができ、特に細
長いラベルをズレなく真っ直ぐに貼り付けることに好適
である。また、本願発明にかかるラベル貼付装置におい
て、ラベル押圧手段は、ラベル送出手段近傍に設けら
れ、ラベル送出手段によって剥離テープから剥離されつ
繰り出されるラベルの端部を被貼付物に貼付するため
の押圧ローラと、押圧ローラのラベル送出方向下流に被
貼付物の搬送方向に沿うようにして設けられ、ラベルの
中間部分の一端部近傍から他端部近傍にわたってラベル
を被貼付物に一度に押圧して貼付させるためのラベル押
圧体とを含むことが好ましい。この場合には、押圧ロー
ラによってラベルの端部が被貼付物に貼付された後、ラ
ベル押圧体によってラベルの残りの部分が被貼付物に一
度に貼付されるので、ラベルを全長にわたってしっかり
と確実に貼付することができる。さらに、本願発明にか
かるラベル貼付装置において、変位手段は、固定的に設
けられる固定基板と、固定基板上に被貼付物に対して前
後方向へ変位可能に設けられる可動基板と、可動基板を
変位させるための駆動手段とを含み、ラベル押圧体は、
可動基板の固定基板とは反対側の面に被貼付面へ向かっ
て延びるようにして設けられた支持部材によって支持さ
れてもよい。この場合には、駆動手段によって可動基板
を変位させることにより、ラベル押圧体を被貼付物に対
して前後方向へ変位させることができる。そして、被貼
付物に向かって延びた支持部材に支持されたラベル押圧
体によって細長いラベルは貼付される。ラベル押圧体が
支持部材に支持されているので、可動基板と被貼付面と
が離れている場合にもラベルを貼付することができる。
また、本願発明にかかるラベル貼付方法は、長尺状の剥
離テープ上に所定間隔をおきながら複数のラベルを仮着
したラベル連続体を、被貼付物の搬送に伴わせて連続的
に移送するステップと、剥離テープから剥離されて繰り
出されたラベルの移送方向一端部を被貼付物に貼付する
ステップと、ラベルの残りの部分を被貼付物に貼付せず
に略全長にわたって被貼付物の搬送に伴わせて剥離テー
プから剥離しつつ送り出すステップと、送り出されたラ
ベルの残りの部分を被貼付物に対して一度に押圧するス
テップとを含む、ラベル貼付方法である。このラベル貼
付方法では、ラベルの一端部を被貼付物に貼付してから
残りの部分を被貼付物に貼付せずに被貼付物の搬送に伴
わせて、剥離テープから剥離しつつ送り出す。そして、
略全長にわたって送り出されたラベルを被貼付物に対し
て一度に押圧することによりラベルが被貼付物に貼り付
