Ciò è tanto vero da indurre talvolta situazioni di vera e propria dipendenza, anche grave, da tali apparecchi, sia pure riconosciuti utili ed insostituibili se utilizzati nella corretta maniera, per tempi e circostanze dettati dal buon senso e dalle direttive degli stessi costruttori di tali apparecchi e degli psicologi (si pensi all'uso improprio di internet da parte dei ragazzi ed ai pericoli della rete: siti porno, siti a pagamento, pedofilia, ecc.). Tutti sanno che i bambini hanno difficoltà a distinguere la finzione dalla realtà e sempre più spesso ciò che guardano è più "distruttivo" che "costruttivo", per la famiglia e per la società.
