Brevetto per Invenzione Industriale dal titolo “PALLONE AEROSTATICO A SOSTENTAZIONE CON VUOTO D’ARIA”. Patent for Industrial Invention entitled "AEROSTATIC BALLOON WITH AIR VACUUM SUSTAINATION".
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to an aerostat in which the upward thrust is given by a gas-impermeable chamber with a rigid structure, inside which an air vacuum is obtained and maintained so as to have a gas density inside. of the chamber smaller than the atmospheric one, in order to obtain buoyancy in the atmosphere by aerostatic thrust. In the field of balloons, realizations are known such as hot-air balloons, airships and the like in which the upward thrust is given by hot air or gases lighter than air. These balloons therefore have a density of the gas contained in the balloon that is lower than that of the outside air and in a quantity such as to have an upward thrust with a force greater than the weight force. However, hot air balloons have problems mainly due to the fact that they have to produce air from a heat source that must be continuously fed to obtain air heated in sufficient quantity and temperature for sustenance in flight. The flight is therefore subject to the amount of fuel needed to generate the hot air. Airships, on the other hand, are filled with lighter-than-air gases such as hydrogen or helium. These gases, however, have disadvantages due to the fact that hydrogen is subject to fires and helium is not readily available in nature. The object of the result is a new and original air balloon capable of avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages, as it does not involve the use of hot air or gases lighter than air. The invention, on the other hand, is equipped with a rigid support structure, having externally an impermeable layer, such as for example a gas-impermeable fabric, in which, by means of pumps and valves, the air is extracted to obtain rarefied air or a vacuum. air contained inside the balloon, so as to have a density of the air contained in the balloon lower than the atmospheric one and in a quantity such as to cause the lifting of the balloon with its load. The internal support structure therefore has the function of avoiding the implosion of the balloon when the air is extracted with pumps and the air density in the balloon with valves is maintained. The waterproof fabric layer then adheres to the internal support structure. Once a degree of rarefaction of the air inside the balloon has been achieved with a high-flow vacuum pump and obtained a sufficient aerostatic thrust, it is then possible to adjust in flight, with a second vacuum pump with a lower flow-rate, the internal density of the air in the aerostatic balloon object of the result to obtain different flight heights. A system of valves also determines the density of the air inside the balloon. In fact, the flight altitude is maintained with the valves closed and with a certain density of the air inside the balloon. To determine the descent of the balloon, on the other hand, the valves are opened in connection with the outside, so as to gradually increase the density of the air inside the balloon, until the density of the air inside the balloon is equal to the external one, with the balloon landed. Said balloon can be directed in flight by reaction given by the air coming out of the pumps. Another advantage given by the balloon according to the result is that it has smaller dimensions than the volume of the balloon containing the gases, with the same aerostatic thrust with respect to aerostatic balloons of the known type. Further advantages and characteristics of the aerostatic balloon according to the result will be more evident from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment illustrated purely by way of indication and as such not limiting to the drawings of attached sheets 1, 2 and 3. In particular in sheet 1 Figure 1 illustrates a diagram of the main components. On sheet 2 Figure 2 is a longitudinal section view of a balloon according to the result. Finally, on sheet 3 Figure 3 is a side view with a cut-out of the internal part of an airship according to the result. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view with the internal structure with support ribs for the external fabric. The invention consists of a gas-impermeable chamber 3 made, for example, with an internal reticular structure 1 for supporting an external covering 2 made with the use of a gas-impermeable fabric, such as nylon, the waterproof fabric or similar. Said fabric is cut and sewn in such a way as to be adapted to the reticular support structure 1 in a manner used in the construction technique of aerostatic balloons, using electro-stitching, joint seams and structural gluing to obtain a taut structure on the reticular support structure 1. , as known and within the scope of realization of the average person skilled in the art. The internal support structure 1 can be made of carbon fiber, aluminum, low weight plastic or similar materials with equivalent function. In another embodiment, the internal support structure 1 can be made with inflatables, such as for example tubes in impermeable canvas connected to each other. In a further embodiment, the internal support structure can be made with a rigid shell structure. The gas-impermeable chamber 3 is joined by means of connecting elements to pipe 4. Said pipe 4 is equipped with a vacuum gauge 5. In succession to the vacuum gauge 5, pipe 4 connects an electrically operated valve 6. The pipe 4 continues beyond the valve 6 connecting in parallel a vacuum switch 7 and a vacuum switch 8 or two vacuum pumps with different flow rates. The vacuum switch 7 consists of a pump for the extraction of gases with an extraction capacity of at least seventy liters per minute, while the second vacuum switch 8 has the lower power extraction capacity for use in flight. The vacuum switches 7 and 8 are connected with electric cables 9 to electric batteries 10, according to the known art. The aerostatic balloon is therefore completed by a system 11 for supporting the load and the cockpit. There are also electronic control and regulation devices 12 of the connected electrical components and control and regulation panel 13 used by the balloon pilot to govern the vacuum switches 7 and 8 and the valve 6. Finally, there are flight direction devices 14, also connected to the control panel of the panel 13. During the use of the invention, the pilot from the control and regulation panel 13 switches on the devices 12 by activating the electric batteries 10 to open the valve 6 and activates the vacuum switch 7 Air is then sucked from the pipe 4 from inside the gas-tight chamber 3. The lower air density inside the gas-impermeable chamber 3 determines the lifting of the balloon when the aerostatic thrust is greater than the weight. The lower air density inside the balloon can be assessed with the vacuum gauge 5. Once a certain flight altitude has been reached, small shifts in flight height are obtained by operating the lower-powered vacuum gauge 8. Increasing the air density in the balloon therefore lowers the flight altitude while, on the contrary, decreasing the air density results in less weight and an upward thrust is obtained. Staying at a certain altitude is achieved by closing valve 6 while descent is achieved by opening valve 6 and letting air into the balloon from the outside until the density of the air in the balloon is approximately equal to the density of the balloon. outside air and the balloon lands on the ground. Through the flight direction devices 14, the user of the invention can pilot the balloon according to the result along the chosen route. The air expelled from the vacuum switches 7 and 8, oriented in the opposite direction in which you want to go, can be used to direct the balloon according to the result, providing a thrust which by reaction moves the balloon in the desired direction. The aerostatic balloon thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of protection sanctioned by the claims; all the details can also be replaced by other technically equivalent ones. In the practical realization of the invention, the dimensions of the balloon can be any according to the needs of the load to be lifted and the use of the different conditions of use, as well as any shape of the balloon according to the result.
