FIELD OF APPLICATION

The present invention ? relating to a disposable detergent capsule for personal hygiene.

The present invention finds useful use in the field of personal cleaning, for example of hair, in domestic environments but also in accommodation structures such as hotels or bed and breakfasts and more.

Description of the prior art

Various types of disposable detergent capsules for personal hygiene are known in the state of the art.

Some types of such capsules include a single dose of liquid or gel detergent composition, which is enclosed within a casing resistant enough to protect this type of composition and prevent it from leaking. In particular, a first type of casing comprises a rigid plastic container, such as for example HDPE. Alternatively, a second type of wrapper consists of a flexible packaging, such as a plastic laminate, in which two or more layers of different plastic materials are coupled together to give the packaging the properties necessary.

Other types of disposable detergent capsules, however, such as for example those illustrated by the document US 2017/0014313 A1, provide for a biodegradable casing, in place of the plastic ones, composed of one or more capsules. films which are soluble in water and form a housing adapted to contain the cleaning composition, which is solid.

Problem of the prior art

Disadvantageously, the casings of the capsules of the first type, ie containing a liquid or gel detergent composition, are, in the case of laminates, thin and not bulky but not recyclable or difficult to recycle. In the case of rigid containers, however, recycling? more simple but the use of plastic ? greater, and moreover the final dimensions and the weight are greater, with consequent increase of the costs in the transports and necessity? more storage space.

Disadvantageously, the casings of the capsules of the second type, which are not subject to the problems connected with plastic materials, provide only solid detergent compositions, which require a longer dissolution time than the liquid or gel detergent compositions. Also, solid cleaning compositions are more efficient. difficult for a user to handle as they tend to slip, especially if they are relatively small, as in the case of a disposable capsule.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In this context, the technical task underlying the present invention ? propose a disposable detergent capsule which overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art mentioned above.

In particular, ? object of the present invention is to provide a disposable detergent capsule which has an environmentally sustainable casing.

Another purpose of the present invention ? make available a disposable detergent capsule that is light and not bulky.

Another purpose of the present invention ? that of making available a disposable detergent capsule that can be easily handled by a user.

The technical task specified and the aims specified are substantially achieved by a disposable detergent capsule comprising the technical characteristics set forth in one or more of the joint claims.

Advantages of the invention

Thanks to the present invention, ? It is possible to make a single-use detergent capsule that is sustainable, light and space-saving.

Thanks to the present invention, ? it is also possible to make a disposable detergent capsule which can be easily handled by a user.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disposable detergent capsule in accordance with the present invention ? a capsule for? personal hygiene that ? biodegradable.

The capsule comprises a single dose of a liquid detergent composition. With single-dose, in the present context, we mean a quantity of detergent composition suitable for performing a single wash.

The capsule in particular comprises a casing comprising a film. The film ? in particular soluble in water, so as to dissolve on contact with water while a user is washing.

In particular, the wrapping film according to the present invention is soluble starting from a water temperature higher than 5°C, preferably between 5 and 30°C. Preferably, does the film have good solubility? at water temperatures around 15/20?C.

In greater detail, the wrapping film according to the present invention is based on polyvinyl alcohol.

Preferably, the casing consists of one or more of such films based on polyvinyl alcohol. In other words, the casing? preferably made up solely of one or more? of said films based on polyvinyl alcohol.

Pi? preferably, the casing consists of two layers of such polyvinyl alcohol-based films, superimposed and welded so as to define a housing for the detergent composition. In particular, the two layers can result from two such distinct films or from a single film folded on itself? himself to obtain two overlapping layers. A second weld is then made to close the opening formed with the first weld, resulting in a closed housing. A possible final phase pu? provide that the film is cut so as to remove excesses and lateral waste.

The film ? permeable to water vapor and ? preferably impervious to any natural and/or man-made vapor or gas except water vapour.

The single-dose comprises a quantity of detergent composition comprised between 1 and 15 ml. Pi? preferably, the single dose comprises a quantity of detergent composition comprised between 2 and 10 ml. For example, the single-dose includes 5 ml of a cleansing composition.

The cleansing composition? such as soap, body wash, shampoo or conditioner. The cleansing composition? preferably based on glycerin.

In particular, the detergent composition ? inserted in the casing and ? in contact with the casing. It should be noted that, to be compatible with the film, that ? water-soluble, the cleansing liquid composition ? focused.

The detergent composition has a concentration by weight of water between 5 and 35%. Preferably, the detergent composition has a concentration by weight of water between 10 and 25%. The low water concentration preserves the film during storage, despite its water solubility.

Preferably, the detergent composition ? hair shampoos. Similarly to shampoos of the prior art, the detergent composition can include surfactants, water, glycerin, as well as? other nutrients, detergents or aromatics.

Preferably, polyvinyl alcohol, which the film is about. a base, ? a polyvinyl alcohol with a high degree of hydrolysis, for example with a degree of hydrolysis between 80 and 90%.

Preferably, the polyvinyl alcohol is a high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol, for example having a viscosity? kinematics at 40?C greater than 20.5 cSt.

The film has a composition which preferably comprises between 65 and 85% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol. Pi? preferably, the composition comprises between 70 and 80% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol. even more preferably, the composition comprises 75% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol.

The composition also preferably comprises between 15 and 35% by weight of plasticizers and additives. Pi? preferably, the composition comprises between 20 and 30% by weight of plasticizers and active ingredients. even more preferably, the composition comprises 25% by weight of plasticizers and additives.

Plasticizers include alcohols and/or alcohol ethers. Preferably, the plasticizers comprise aliphatic polyols. Preferably, such aliphatic polyols comprise, for each mole, at least three carbon atoms and two hydroxyl functional groups. The hydroxyl groups are positioned in the chains to form primary and/or secondary alcohols.

Preferably, the composition has 2, 2?-dihydroxyethyl ether in a concentration by weight of between 2 and 2.5%.

Preferably, the composition has methanol in a concentration by weight of between 1-5 and 1.9%.

Preferably, the composition has 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diol in a concentration by weight of between 1 and 1.5%.

As regards the additives, these for example comprise organic and/or inorganic salts of alkaline and/or alkaline-earth elements.

The film according to the present invention has a composition comprising residues of heavy and/or toxic elements in a concentration by weight not exceeding 0.1%.

The film according to the present invention has a thickness of between 15 and 100 microns. Preferably, the thickness ? between 15 and 25 microns. even more preferably the thickness? of 25 microns.

In particular, more ? thin the film, pi? ? rapid dissolution of the same in water. The speed? of dissolution of the film pu? be expressed, for example, by a tearing or dissolving time of the film when in contact with water. In particular, tearing and/or dissolution times such as those below are advantageously obtained with the invention, in water having temperatures compatible with washing for personal hygiene, for example water at 25°C.

Under these conditions, the wrapping film according to the present invention is configured to tear in a tear time between 5 seconds and 70 seconds.

In particular, with tearing time is meant a time required to break the film. In other words, the tear time represents a time required to access the cleaning composition enclosed therein.

The casing film according to the present invention is also configured to dissolve in a dissolve time between 40 seconds and 200 seconds.

In particular, by dissolution time we mean the time required to dissolve the film under the conditions indicated.

A polyvinyl alcohol-based film having the characteristics as described above, and having a thickness within the above range, is capable of tearing apart and dissolving in such times of laceration and dissolution.

In particular, a film that has a thickness between 15 and 25 microns? configured to tear apart in 10 seconds. A film that has a thickness between 25 and 50 microns? configured to tear apart in 20 seconds. A film that has a thickness between 50 and 100 microns? configured to tear apart in 60 seconds.

In particular, a film that has a thickness between 15 and 25 microns? configured to fade in 40 seconds. A film that has a thickness between 25 and 50 microns? configured to fade in 80 seconds. A film that has a thickness between 50 and 100 microns? configured to fade in 200 seconds.

The above times refer to a film comprising 75% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol, immersed in bidistilled water at a temperature of 25°C and subjected to stirring.

Below are the mechanical characteristics of the film, such as to ensure its stability, without damage or loss of the detergent composition, during the production phases and during subsequent storage.

Preferably, the film has a density? between 1.1 and 1.4 g/cm<3 >measured at 20?C. Pi? preferably, the density? ? between 1.1 and 1.2 g/cm<3>. even more preferably, the density? ? equal to 1.13 g/cm<3>.

Preferably, the film ? deformable by a maximum elongation between 100% and 300%. Pi? preferably, the? maximum elongation ? by 200%.

Preferably, the film ? deformable by a maximum elongation in the longitudinal direction between 100-250%.

Preferably, the film ? deformable by a maximum elongation in the transversal direction between 150-300%.

Preferably the film has a tensile strength of between 35 and 80 MPa. Preferably, the tensile strength in the longitudinal direction is between 40 and 80 MPa.

Preferably, the tensile strength in the transverse direction ? between 35 and 70 MPa.

The film ? also preferably configured to be printed. In particular, the film ? preferably compatible with printing pigments supported in polar thinners. Optionally, the casing can? then include a logo or design printed on the film.

REALIZATION EXAMPLE

The casing? consisting of two films based on polyvinyl alcohol comprising 75% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol and 25% by weight of plasticizers and additives. The two films have a thickness of 25 microns and are sealed at a temperature between 115 and 153°C.

The cleansing composition? hair shampoo comprising the following concentrations by weight of the following components: - cocamidopropyl betaine 25-50%;

- lauryl glucoside 25-50%;

- water 10-25%;

- glycerin 1-5%;

- sweet almond oil (prunus amygdalus dulcis oil) 1-5%;

- horsetail arvense leaf extract 0.1-1%;

- propylene glycol 0.1-1%;

- sodium chloride 0-0.1%; - perfume 0-0.1%.

Claims (12)

1. Disposable cleansing capsule for personal hygiene including: - a casing comprising a film based on polyvinyl alcohol and soluble in water; - a single dose of a concentrated liquid detergent composition, inserted into the casing and in contact with the casing, said single dose of detergent composition being suitable for performing a single wash. 2. A capsule according to claim 1, wherein said concentrated liquid detergent composition is hair shampoos. 3. Capsule according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said detergent composition has a concentration by weight of water between 5 and 35%, preferably between 10 and 25%. 4. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said film is soluble starting from a water temperature higher than 5°C, preferably between 5°C and 30°C. 5. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said film has a thickness ranging from 15 to 100 microns, preferably ranging from 15 to 25 microns. 6. Capsule according to claim 5, wherein said film is configured to tear when immersed in 25?C water in a tear time between 5 seconds and 70 seconds. 7. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said casing consists of two layers of film superimposed and welded so as to define a housing for said detergent composition. 8. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said film has a composition comprising: - between 65 and 85% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol; - between 15 and 35% by weight of plasticizers and additives. 9. Capsule according to claim 8, wherein said plasticizers comprise aliphatic polyols comprising, for each mole, at least: - three carbon atoms e - two hydroxyl functional groups forming primary and/or secondary alcohols, said alcohols being alcohols and/or alcohol-ethers. 10. Capsule according to claim 8 or 9, wherein said additives comprising organic and/or inorganic salts of alkali and/or alkaline-earth elements. 11. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said film has a density? between 1.1 and 1.4 g/cm<3>. 12. Capsule according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said film has a tensile strength comprised between 35 and 80 MPa and ? deformable by a maximum elongation between 100% and 300%.
