Abstract
La cimossa viene eseguita aspirando con un ugello aspirante/soffiante i codini di cimossa appena tagliati e reinserendoli nel passo riapertosi mediante inversione del flusso d'aria all'interno dell'ugello. L'ugello si posiziona a fianco del filo di trama da aspirare prima del taglio di questo, al momento della battuta, e resta in questa posizione intanto che la taglierina viene fatta avanzare fino al punto di taglio mentre il pettine retrocede dalla zona di battuta. Viene così evitato il taglio del pettine.Nei telai ad aria, dal lato di inserimento della trama, uno schermo fisso o mobile, eventualmente solidale all'ugello, devia il flusso d'aria proveniente dagli ugelli principali che disturberebbe la presa del codino di trama da parte dell'ugello aspirante/soffiante. Un intaglio a V permette l'alloggiamento del filo di trama entro lo schermo.
