The invention relates to a fire fighting system with the help of a helicopter and an extinguishing device. The helicopter carries the device and guides it from the air to the burning spots that are inaccessible to vehicles and people.
Methods of extinguishing fires are known and applied by the firefighting units to deal with them. Fighting fires is done with portable fire extinguishers, water jet pumps and retardant materials, with aerial vehicles that transport and drop large quantities of water when it comes to fires in rural or forest areas.
Fires are easily dealt with if the forces and means of suppression intervene in the first minutes of their initiation. For this purpose, when dealing with fires in buildings, automatic extinguishing systems are installed by the manufacturers, which are programmed and activated at the first appearance of a fire.
Fires in rural areas and forests are tackled by human-operated water-jet pumps and aerial vehicles, such as airplanes, which load water into their tank from the nearest sea or lake in flight and dump it on the fire front from a relatively large height when it is between mountain masses with moderate efficiency, or helicopters that carry a bucket and fill it also from the nearest sea or lake or even from special tanks built for this purpose and drop it in hard-to-reach places where the fire develops having greater efficiency.
Extinguishing fires using a helicopter and the proposed device according to the present invention is possible. Every fire is effectively dealt with at the point of initiation and at points of outbreak, which are not easily accessible by ground means. The extinguishing system according to the present invention uses the helicopter as a basic means where, depending on the assessment of each fire, it uses dry powder and nitrogen or water as it is currently practiced. For the diffusion of dust and nitrogen, he uses a newly invented device which I will describe below.
The device consists of a cylindrical container which is filled with fire extinguishing powders and nitrogen. Said container is placed in a horizontal position on the helicopter.
A hose introduces compressed air into the container, which forces the extinguishing materials out of an outlet, to which is connected a flexible hose, at the end of which is connected an expansion and ejection hose. Through the connected tube at the end of the discharge pipe, the fire-fighting materials are directed to the ground at the center of the fire, keeping a certain distance from the ground, with the help of a metal rod that protrudes from the discharger and swings touching the ground or bushes by spreading the fire extinguishing materials, fixing the intensity and rapid expansion of the fire.
With this device according to the present invention, it is possible to beat the fire at its core, so it becomes easier to deal with it.

Figure 1 shows an illustration of the Greek territory with an indicative layout of (1) helicopter resupply bases that typically cover all areas at equal distances according to a study by the fire services.
Figure 2 shows a top view of a helicopter supply base. The base is a building (2) with stored materials, fire extinguishers (4) and retarders (3). The perimeter of the building has lights that shine a yellow light to make them visible from a long distance so that helicopters can spot them easily. The building has utility areas to serve the people who are certain to load the helicopters.
Figure 3 shows a top view of a base (6) for resupplying helicopters with water from the sea. The base (6) is a floating ring consisting of two semi-circular inflatable sections (8) and (9) connected to the connections (11) and anchored with anchor ropes (14) and anchors (10) so that they do not move and their position changes when there is a ripple.
Lights (7) are placed on the connections to facilitate the helicopters when taking water.
Figure 4 shows a side view of the helicopter's supply base (6) (13) with seawater (12) filling the bucket (16). The water intake base is preferably installed close to land (15) in leeward locations.
Figure 5 shows a general arrangement of the device for handling and dispersing the fire extinguishing materials. The device consists of a cylindrical container (17) which is filled with fire extinguishing powders (40) and nitrogen. Said container is placed in a horizontal position on the helicopter (13). A pipe (18) introduces compressed air and nitrogen into the container (17) when it wants to start firefighting. The tube (18) has a diffusion orifice (41) at its front end. The gases as they exit mobilize the fire extinguishing powder (40) which exits the outlet (19) and then after we activate the valve (39) it is led through the flexible connected pipe (20) to the pipe (26) which enters the expansion pipe and ejection (27) and ejects the materials from the outlet (29). The outgoing materials relieve the pressure and their speed decreases. At a reduced speed, they exit the pipe (27) and diffuse into the burning materials where they either extinguish the fire or slow down its spread.
To adjust the operating height from the ground, the rod (30) is mounted on a shaft (31) in the center of the tube and is free-floating, so as the helicopter drags the device over the ground, the rod comes down and maintains the proper distance.
For the safety of the helicopter in the event that the expansion and launch tube (27) becomes entangled in rocks or bushes, there is the quick release (25), which when force is applied to the tube (20) disengages, freeing it. Along the entire length of the pipe (20) is connected the wire rope (24) to strengthen its resistance to the weight of the pipe and the materials.
The cylindrical container (17) is equipped with a filling port (36) and a piezoelectric safety valve (35) to control the internal pressure. The shaft (34) also holds and moves the tube (18) back and forth to improve the function of advancing the fire extinguishing materials (42) into the tube (20). The movement of the pipe is achieved by the mechanism (38). The air intake starts with the activation of the valve (37).
The operation of the entire firefighting system depends on the good coordination of the firefighting services.
The figures of the parts of the apparatus and the arrangements of the fire fighting means to aid and support the fire extinguishing procedures are not limited to the present description but are given to support and expose the idea so that it can be understood. The construction materials may vary and all those deemed appropriate for the proposed application may be used.
