Abstract

971,714. Cables. NORSK KABELFABRIK A.S. Dec. 20, 1961 [Dec. 20, 1960], No. 45681/61. Heading H1A. In a twisted communication cable comprising two insulated pairs 1, 2 and 4, 5, one pair 1, 2 of conductors is enclosed in an integral body 6, 7 while the other pair 4, 5 in separate insulating sleeves is located in channels formed in the surface of the body. The body may be enlarged, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), so that its surfaces touching the sleeves of the conductors 4, 5 exceeds half their circumference; thereby holding them in place. The construction of the cable renders identification of the pairs simple and each conductor may be marked by the use of a groove, rib or marking strip on the insulation.
