A valve comprises a bellows 1 formed of elastic material such as rubber, one end of the bellows being sealed to a casing 6 and the other end being closed, inlet and outlet ports respectively in the casing of one of these ports, 5 being opened and closed by the closed end of the bellows, a spring 2 within the bellows for loading the bellows against fluid pressure and also for preventing lateral deformation of the bellows, and valve operating means such as a screwed spindle 3 with hand wheel 8 arranged axially of the valve and operable to effect the closure of the valve and to permit the valve to be opened by fluid pressure against the action of the spring. The spindle bears on a rigid backing plate 4 in the bellows.
