Abstract

924,503. Liquid applicators. J. GODDARD & SONS Ltd. Nov. 16, 1960 [Nov. 16, 1959], No. 38730/59. Class 19. A liquid applicator comprises a shallow, closed container providing a liquid retaining space between opposite walls 10, 11 which are joined in liquid-tight manner at their edges 12, wall 11 being provided with a filler opening 14 and wall 10 being formed with a dispensing aperture or apertures, and an absorbent pad 18. As shown in Fig. 3, part of the walls 10, 11, which are of plastic sheet, are turned inside out, forming a double-walled container which may be placed over a hand or foot. The pad 18 comprises an under-layer 19 of foam plastic covered by a knitted nylon fabric sheet 20. Another embodiment is shown in Fig. 5, wherein two sheets 22, 23 are joined at 24 to form a container, the liquid from which passes through apertures 31 on to the pad 25. A strap 29 is provided for passing over the hand. Specification 916,031 is referred to.
