Abstract

920,040. Dishwashing machines. WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION. March 13, 1961, No. 9167/61. Class 138 (1). A dispenser for powdered detergent in a dishwashing machine comprises a cup supported by a control member and released for pivotal movement from a charge holding to a charge dispensing position. As shown, cups 16, 17 are pivotally mounted in the charge holding position, in which cup 17 is shown, on posts 18. Cam 15 controls the withdrawal of rod 28 from supporting fingers 26, release of which permits cup 16 or 17 to rotate under gravity into the position in which cup 16 is shown, lid 22 falling open to permit dispensing of the contents of the cup.
