885,622. Cutting cardboard &c. BLUMER, H. July 22, 1960 [July 5, 1960], No. 25589/60. Class 31 (1). [Also in Group XVII] An adjusting strip A for backing the stripsteel knives 2 of a tool for cutting out and/or stamping cardboard and the like comprises a hardened steel strip 5 having a thickness of a few hundredths of a millimetre and provided with a self-adhesive layer on one side only along two marginal zones 5a, 5b each of which extends over substantially one third of its width. The strip is stuck to a plywood sheet 1 at the required position. The strip is provided with a detachable protective strip 6 of a synthetic material e.g. polyvinyl chloride, which is wider than the steel strip. The cut cardboard is detached from the knives by means of strips 3 e.g. of synthetic foam material.
