Abstract

855,613. Squeegee apparatus. HOOVER Ltd. Sept. 3, 1959 [Sept. 18, 1958], No. 30123/59. Class 19. A resilient blade 35 has a pair of parallel wiping edges 39, 40 spaced apart a distance of not less than approximately half the distance between the nozzle lips 18 of a liquid-pick up suction nozzle 10 in which the blade is mounted. Thus as the nozzle is moved to and fro the blade flexes and one edge thereof seals off the rear half of the nozzle inlet.
