Abstract

839,412. Blasting fuzes. MONTECATINI SOC. GENERALE PER L'INDUSTRIA MINERARIA E CHIMICA. Feb. 11, 1958 [Feb. 12, 1957], No. 4433/58. Class 9(1) A junction piece for connecting ignition means to a group of safety fuzes as in Specification 16774/08 comprises a cup 1 having a flanged hole in the base through which extends a tube 2 to grip the ignition fuze 3. Within the cup is a small priming charge 4, e.g. blackpowder, protected by a waterproof disc 5, which may be tin foil, a plastic or a proofed paper. A flanged ring 6 retains the disc 5 in position and in use the cup 1 is crimped over the ends of the slow burning fuzes.
