Abstract

A composition for moulding golf-ball covers contains balata, an antioxidant therefor, a sunproofing material and a white colouring material such as titanium dioxide. Examples of the composition contain balata, a mixture of natural rubber and a rubbery product known as high styrene butadiene, an antioxidant, a sunproofing wax, sulphur, an accelerator, zinc, titanium dioxide, a rutile-anhydrite product, and hydrated alumina as a toughener.
