Abstract

813,514. Syringes. MARRAFFINO, L. L. June 11, 1956, No. 17948/56. Class 102(2). [Also in Groups VI and XVII] A syringe for dispensing together at least two paste like materials to form a striped stream comprises a container 30 the discharge part 40 of which includes a major central passage defining portion 48 which extends a short distance into the body of the container, the central passage communicating at one end with the major portion of the container and at the other end with the outlet nozzle, and at least one minor passage 50 communicating with the portion of the container 30 surrounding the portion 48 and through slots 52 with the central passage-way. The central and minor passages are formed by a plug 47 fitting into the discharge part 40 and comprising the central portion 48 and four spaced bosses 49 defining longitudinal slots 50. Coloured material is packed in the head end 40 surrounding the central portion 48 and base material is packed in the major portion of the container 30. In a modification the plug 47 is provided with a skirt member surrounding the portion 48 and forming a container for the coloured material.
