Abstract

812,737. Nozzles. CHAMPION, Y. Nov. 16, 1956 [Dec. 7, 1955; Oct. 25,1956], No. 35168/56. Class 69 (3). A combined spraying rose and jet comprises a body 1 with a part 6 for connection to a water supply pipe, and an axially adjustable member consisting of a perforated disc 17, a hollow cylindrical part 14, and a hollow stem 10. The latter is screwed into a perforated partition 4 and has a passage 13 and valve 24. In the position shown the member is screwed fully into the body and the part 14 closes the outlet of a duct 3 so that water can flow only through passage 13 and the member to issue as a jet. When the member is unscrewed to an intermediate position by a handle 21 the passage 13 is obturated by the partition 4 and water flows through the partition and duct 3 and is emitted from the perforated disc. When fully unscrewed the valve 24 meets a flange 8 and cuts off the flow completely. In an alternative construction the disc 17 is rigid with the body 1 and has a central bore to allow the cylindrical part 14 to move relatively to it.
