Abstract

807,979. Bon-bon crackers. HOEFLICH, V. T. Feb. 6, 1957, No. 4105/57. Class 132(1) [Also in Group XVII] A Christmas cracker or like container comprises a cylindrical portion 12 enclosed in a paper wrapper 14 which extends beyond the ends of the cylinder and is fringed and a tie device with a longitudinal portion 30 of substantially the same length as the cylinder and end portions 32, 34 each with a hole 36 on the axis of the cylinder for bunching and holding the fringe 16 at the ends of the cylinder and a slit 40 extending from the hole 36 to the edge of the device. A snapper strip with ends 26, 28 may also be provided and a paper hat or other article may be included in portion 12. Wrapper 14 is preferably of crepe paper and the tie device is preferably stamped out of foil paper, i.e. light card board or heavy paper coated with foil or flint paper, chrome coated paper, plastic coated paper or printed papers.
