[Also in Group XXXVIII] In an electrophonic musical instrument (see Group XXXVIII) a switch has one contact member of conductive rubber. As shown, depression of a key presses metal contact springs 11 on to conductive rubber contacts 4 mounted on metal bus-bars 3, the electrical resistance of the contacts 4 decreasing as the pressure is increased.
