Abstract

782,908. Animal feeding appliances. HEARN, W. H., and CLARK, A. E. Sept. 30, 1955 [Oct. 25, 1954], No. 30750/54. Class 5(2). A metal pig-feeding trough has one side 3 extended for the purpose of housing the trough in an opening 7 in the wall 8 of the sty as illustrated in Fig. 2. The trough can then be filled with swill &c. from one side of the wall while the pigs are feeding from the trough on the other side of the wall. The trough may be used in conjunction with automatic means for supplying food to it, such as that described in Specification 732,550, in which case a hopper may be supported on the wall 8 above that part of the trough from which the pigs feed.
