Abstract
780,844. Heating or cooling air. FOWLER. L. J.. and WEATHERFOIL HEATING SYSTEMS, Ltd. March 4. 1954 [Dec. 4, 1952, Nov. 12, 1953], Nos. 30835/52 and 31435/53. Class 64(3) Apparatus for heating or cooling air in buildings such as school-rooms, comprises a casing 40 formed as a wood-framed cupboard fixture in the room in which it is to serve and extending horizontally close to the floor level, the casing having an air inlet at one end and an air outlet at the other end and enclosing vertical fan plate 28 extending across the interior of the casing and a heating or cooling unit 47 located downstream of the fan 29, e.g. adjacent the air outlet. In the form shown the wood framework of the casing is enclosed by plywood or hardboard panels, the air inlet and outlet being constituted by interchangeable louvred panels 46 (Fig. 4) and the casing having a hinged lid 51 for access to the casing interior. In a further form described the portion 49 of the casing between the louvred panels 46 is hinged for the same purpose.
